The Charlotte Hornets select Tidjane Salaun with 6th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft | 2024 NBA Draft

to see the pick is in for the Charlotte Hornets let’s go back to the podium with the sixth pick in the 2024 NBA draft the Charlotte Hornets select Tian Salon from cholay France the Frenchmen continue to dominate the 2024 NBA draft with the selection of tajon Salon it’s the first country outside of the United States that we have seen have these types of numbers at the top of the draft three top 10 picks here he went from playing 17 total minutes last season for chal’s pro team to moving into an impactful role with both the French league and fuba Champions League he averaged just under 10 points four rebounds in 23 minutes as the youngest player in France as our gavone noted to see real rotation minutes in the proa he says that he is just an Energizer for his team there is a fire in me tjon Salon says that pushes me to be my best every single play as he is headed up for his moment to shake hands with the commissioner yeah when you talk about tjan Salon he’s got range he can hit threes he can hit step back threes he can hit threes off of the catch doesn’t shoot the highest percentage right now but his three-point shooting is promising which is something that Charlotte can use his size his versatility and his defensive energy will also be big and sharp Jonathan gavone has more Malika to John Salon is an ultra talented power forward only scratching the surface of what he can develop into at 18 years old some of the best physical Tools in this draft 610 in shoes 72 win spin a huge 9 fo2 standing reach and a very impressive frame that should fill out considerably in time he shows impressive versatility with his Dynamic shot making ability and non-stop defensive intensity he never runs out of energy which helped him carve out a significant role for a playoff team in France not an easy feat at his age Salon f for the game and skill level is a work in progress but he let’s remember he’s the youngest player to hear his name called tonight not turning 19 until August wow three of the top 10 picks here tonight are from France it’s the first time that we have seen a country outside of the US do this Richard I really think that speaks to where the game is now well the game is there and when you look at Zach when you look at web and Yama both of them played for Tony Parker’s team in France so when you have one of the great point guards in NBA history that is over there really kind of running a field team picking up players showing them the way developing the talent there is a French Connection there’s a French explosion coming over here right now and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon the thing that makes me most excited about the international growth of the game is that we’re about to enter into the Olympics and the Olympics are going to be one of the most competitive collection of basketball talent that this world has ever seen and France is going to be one of those big teams there [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]

  1. Him, LaMelo, Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges and Mark Williams. To go along with some decent role players.. Hornets finally starting to cook 👀

  2. Who the heck is this???? Do the Hornets feel like they have their team already???? Wasted a pick for a “work in progress”… Could have traded back as what other commenters have said… The only hope is that the Hornets found a Giannis comp that nobody was talking about… Another rebuilding season for the Hornets…

  3. Croyez-moi quand je dis cela, Tidjane sera très bientôt l’un des meilleurs joueurs de la NBA. Donc bon en défense et en attaque, c'est bien.

  4. Based off Melo & Miller I feel like Salaun will definitely develop well right along them .. Charlotte has really been hitting on their picks every year but hopefully we can start to take that next step to picking late in the Draft

  5. If this dude pans out he will be the perfect pf for the Hornets. He's raw but his energy and hustle is great and hopefully infectious. I'm sure that Brandon Miller is happy with that. His cutting ability is good also. I think it's a good pick, risky but good. Dude still might not be done growing either. Stop hanging on the rim too 😂

  6. Maybe I'm not seeing it but just based off the highlights this kid doesn't look too impressive, but I could be wrong.

  7. Next year, Nolan Traoré is in the NBA draft. Best young guard the world. Maybe pick 2.
