Why The Los Angeles Lakers Just ROBBED The 2024 NBA Draft With NEW 3 POINT SNIPER | Whose Next?

the first round of the 2024 NBA draft has come to an end and to many Laker fans surprised the 17th overall pick was not dealt as part of a larger deal in hopes of Landing a win now veteran as many of you guys may already know by now the front office ultimately decided to roll the dice on 5-year College product Dalton connect who was projected in many mock drafts prior to draft night to be selected from anywhere in the range of the 10th to 15th overall pick it seems as if Rob plink and the front office have learned from their mistake last season of not capitalizing on worthy Talent falling right into her laps like they did with Cam Whitmore ham hakz and Brandon Pinsky although dalon connect is only entering his rookie season this fall Laker fans have never been shy of letting their incoming prospects know of the short leash that comes before the purple and gold especially when playing on a team led by a 40-year-old LeBron James with title aspirations in the upcoming weeks between summer league training camp in the next thing you know preseason Dalton connect will have plenty of opportunity to prove himself worthy of being in included in firsttime head coach JJ reck’s rotation and why he was the right pick at the number 17th overall pick for the Los Angeles Lakers but until then let’s dive into why Dalton connect is walking into a situation where it’ll be set up for success and hopefully get the Lakers scouting Department’s reputation back on track as being one of the most underrated in the league before we begin though let me know down in the comment section below what letter grade would you give the Los Angeles Lakers for selecting Dalton connect with the 17th overall pick also so who do you think they’ll be selecting tomorrow with the 55th overall pick be sure to share your letter grades and predictions down below first of all for those who are not familiar with the type of player that dton connect is he’s one of the older prospects in the draft coming off a season where he put up impressive 20 points and five rebounds per game on 40% shooting from three for the University of Tennessee it’s even more impressive when you take into consideration that it was his first year there after having transferred and even more impressive when fans come to learn his 40% shooting from Beyond The Arc came on over 6 and 1 half attempts per game which is incredibly high volume at the Collegiate level two immediate takeaways from Dalton success in such a quick change of scenario would be the fact that he shows to adapt quickly and his production is consistent regardless of who his teammates are or what Jersey he’s wearing over the last few years we’ve seen a plethora of season College products come into NBA and make it impact immediately and as for the case of Dalton connect it shouldn’t be any different he’s a 23-year Old Guard with good size listed at 6’6 with a 610 wingspan he’s got the perfect balance of offensive awareness and aggressiveness to create his own looks within the flow of an offense and his flexibility of being able to do damage with or without the ball in his hands is going to come incredibly handy to new head coach JJ reic when he’s scheming for rers to succeed off all the attention Anthony Davis and LeBron James draw NBA mockdraftable player comparison for the type of player that Don conect could be in the NBA but despite that being pretty High Praise being compared to a 17-year veteran an arguably better and more accurate player comparison might be that of Atlanta Hawks guard Bogden bonovich there’s a tremendous amount of resemblance of how bogon bonovich and Dalton connect are way more than just dangerous Flor spacers as they can put the ball on the floor to create their own quality offense as well they have nearly identical skill set and size case could be make connect does it all in a more tenacious manner which is always great to see but the point is that ler fans would be selling them s short if they think all they were getting was an offb contributor to stand in the corner with his hands up dton connect is and will prove to be much more than that as surely JJ reck will put him in position to succeed as a lethal offensive weapon himself during his playing days and connect being the first time head coach’s very first player Edition stands with his approval so let me know down in the comments section below who do you believe would be the most accurate player comparison for the type of player the Lakers just got in Dalton connect what letter grade would you give this Edition and who do you want to see the Lakers add tomorrow as prob the second night of the 2024 NBA draft but that’s it for a video take it easy guys L and G how would uh how did the workout go for you today kind of what was the vibe of it the intensity how do you feel like you performed it was good I think I did good you know uh you know it’s always good seeing coach uh Bops and stuff you know he’s from uh Denver and stuff so it was cool just to be here see the facilities and you know this is my second workout so it was fun to get after it do you have any kind of relationship with him uh just you know as a kid just watching him at uh Denver and stuff and then you know he played at CU and stuff so we’ have couple connections with him met him a couple times so it was good what are maybe some of the things you’re trying to highlight some of the skills you’re trying to show teams that you possess in this draft uh you know just obviously people see my scoring and stuff and shooting but just everything like passing uh playmaking abilities and stuff like that so just all around game and uh as well as showing off my defense dog you made a leap from T see You’ got high usage high efficiency can you take lessons from that and go okay I’m going to the next level where I got to ratchet it up again and kind of take some of at least some of the Lessons Learned of going up a level in in competition and scheduling yeah I think it was just uh you know playing against higher competition I feel like every time I play against higher competition I play better so it’s just that and uh learning and you know watching film with coaches that’s also help me and then just keep developing when you’re looking at your your career a lot of guys in this draft keeps talking about it’s role players it’s role players you were a guy who was a high usage guy do you look at that and go sure I can get on as a role player but I want to be more than that cuz obviously I showed already at the last level that I can be more than just a role player uh I’m going to do whatever the team needs me to do so if that’s being a role player whatever it needs to be I’m going to go do that and do it at the best ability I can do I don’t know if you talk with Joe at all but obviously the GM obviously from Colorado too and he’s from pretty close to where you’re from yeah he’s from my hometown exactly from it live like a couple blocks away does that excite you at all to you know have like obviously CH you mentioned already but to join this kind of Colorado crew that got building here oh yeah it’s crazy you know uh right down the street from me so it’s kind of cool just to you know talk about that stuff type of stuff and I haven’t been home in a long time so it’s kind of good just to see that what did you learn from that first workout that maybe you applied to this workout here what did you learn from your first workout that you applied to the workout here today uh you know obviously the first workout was kind of nervous but uh just kind of just taking it all in just kind of enjoying it and seeing you know the facilities and just going out and competing by yourself you know you’re one on0 so it’s a little bit different but you know the coaches are real competitive and you get they try to go after you so it’s good yeah I guess what are these solo workouts like when you know you have all eyes in the gym on you at all times well it’s good you know they get to you get to really put on a show and show the coaches and the GMS and stuff what you’re about when your last year at Northern Colorado at that point in time did did you do you feel like the NBA was was a real possibility for you kind of what what where were you at in terms of of what you thought your future was going to be at before you went to Tennessee uh you know I put my name in uh the draft and talked to some agencies and they told me I had to go to a higher market and play against better competition that’s what I did took a uh bet on myself and paid off pretty good so played off pretty good so that’s all I got to say what what kind of feedback did you get from teams this year at the combine compared to what you maybe got the year before when you thought about it uh you you know just a lot of good stuff you know they said a lot of good uh things about it uh about my growth and stuff and how I kept playing good against the good competition the better competition and stuff like that so it’s kind of good just to see that how do you view yourself positionally think just a shooting guard or can you play the three at this level uh I think I can play two and three and then if I have to I I think I could play the one you know big guard I played it at Tennessee a little bit so I think I could play a real vers style along the same lines as that other question I mean you were started in what Northeast Theo out there I mean what were your kind of thoughts when you were playing there you know what was you know how were you able to just kind of keep this belief uh you know I just had a lot of hard work uh believed in what my parents said is you know if you stay in the gym you’re going to get what you want and paid off you know so just always uh staying confident in my craft and always put in the work cool thank you guys thank you

  1. LET'S GO! LAKER! CONGRATULATIONS! DALTON K.WELCOME TO UNIVERSAL LAKERS FAMILY! WE LOVE THIS PICK ❤❤❤ 🔥 🔥 🔥 🤯 💥 🤯 💥

  2. This was a waste of a pick!!!😢😢😢 I give the grade a C-….. this is not going to make the Lakers a conference champion!!!😢

  3. I wish we could get Zach Edey, but Connect is a good pick. If Edey was available at 17 pick, I’m sure they would get him. But this is good player. He’s a shooter. We just hope he can be effective right away. I say B+ to A.

  4. A+ for Knecht; Bronny at 55. Hopefully, they can get another pick earlier in the 2nd round and pick up a legitimate Big.

  5. 0:03 Knecht is a big one!
Lakers please, don't put him into waste. Don't trade him for a superstar player! They don't need to pick big man. Lakers can get Valanciunas and McGee from the free agent with veteran minimum level. I wish they will be able to get Kelly Oubre from the free agency too. Also I wish they keep Vanderbilt as he's the only player from the team can guard Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Steph Curry, and even Kevin Durant.

  6. How many times I've heard this every year "Lakers got a steal," :Lakers robbed the 2024 NBA draft."……. Stop this….

  7. listen to yourself read….then watch any news show or program….wtf do you sing the same tone for every sentence

  8. FAILED!!! how can u say that his the steal of the draft if u are a 5yr college player? the real steal of the draft is a young player who can average 20pts+ per game that's a steal! i really fucking don't get it!!!!! why would u pick a 6'6 player? who has the same height with AR and JHS! this 3 dude has the same game skill set! u need a bigger wing or a center!!!!!!!! #LaFakers!!!!!!

  9. Passing up on the talent that was available to them last year hurts 10 times worse now sense they could of had 2 cost controlled young role players with upside to add to a core for a post lebron era smh with that said love the pick
