with the 18th pick in this year’s NBA draft the Orlando Magic have selected Tristan D Silva the wing out of Colorado what’s up y’all this is Jonathan from the six-man show if you’re unfamiliar with our Channel we’re in Orlando Magic podcast we release magic content all year long so if you are an Orlando Magic fan go ahead and like this video subscribe to the channel and click that notification Bell so you’re notified whenever we drop a new video in tonight’s draft the Orlando Magic selected Tristan de Silva with the 18th pick that the 23-year-old out of Colorado 68 610 wingspan shot almost 40% from behind the ark this year on almost five attempts per game 49% from the floor 83 1.2% at the free throw line and finished 63 1.2% of his attempts at The Rim 16 points per game 5.1 rebounds 2.4 assists and over a steal per game and almost 34 minutes a game this season Tristan D Silva is a prototypical Jeff welman Prof ECT size length versatility can shoot the ball one of the best Cutters in the nation this year High basketball IQ great Team Defender and has a lot of room to grow in all of those areas it doesn’t hurt that Tristan D Silva is the younger brother of osar D Silva who is a German National Team teammate of Orlando Magic fron vogner and mo Vagner coupled that with the fact that he went to the university Colorado head coach Jamal Mosley’s Alma matter it’s safe to say that the magic did their due diligence in there got a good amount of intel on Tristan D Silva in this year’s draft magic fans have been asking all off season and really for the better part of the last decade for this team to add shooting shooting shooting and they did that again with Tristan D Silva 39.5% from behind the arc on 4.8 attempts per game going to be a welcom addition to This Magic roster one thing that I do want to remind magic fans of is the fact that jet Howard taken with the 11th pick in last year’s draft did spend almost the entire year in in the G league so would not be surprised at all if we see Tristan da Silva spend some time in the G League this year given the amount of depth that the magic currently have at the forward position Anthony black whenever he was thrust into the rotation last year and asked to produce he did but when this team got healthy and it was time to push for wins they went with experience over the young rookie and would not be surprised if they did that with Tristan D Silva either now on the other side 23 years old may not play in the G League the magic just may not see that as a good fit and that may not be the plan for Tristan D Silva if he is in the rotation I see him as a guy who can contribute from day one you talk about his ability to cut off ball a guy that does not need the ball in his hands to be effective does need to improve as a shooter on the move again 39% from behind the ark but still has some room to grow there and when you also add just how effective he was at finishing at The Rim I really think he has a chance to be a solid piece for the magic really ear early on if the magic decid to go that route with the Silva overall I’ve been seeing magic fans talk about Tristan D Silva on social media for months I know there are a lot of really happy people in Central Florida Tristan welcome to the magic magic fans everywhere are celebrating this pick tonight we want to hear what you all think about this pick go ahead let us know in the comments and be sure to like this video subscribe and ring that notification Bell so you can get videos like this all the time and as always go magic
