BigDickVicW
What the fuck is Washington doing? There has to be another trade coming
Jack12404
Really don’t understand this for the Wizards

What the fuck is Washington on 😂😂😂
Brad-Stevens
What a random ass trade
Wiz finally develop someone who kinda nice and they trade him lol
Cheechers23
I know people will jump to “WHY IS PORTLAND TRADING A LOTTO PICK” but Deni is a damn good player on a phenomenal contract and he’d be a good 3 next to Scoot and Sharpe.
Extreme-Site-8496
trade season is the best
Lingardinho_
but why?
Ronnie2kDropCode
Brogdon gets passed around every offseason
TSSFranco
Lowkey would’ve kept Deni but I guess we wait on the 2029 protections

Win win trade????
msterling2012
What an awesome deal for Portland. I saw “Deni Avdija” after seeing the Stein report about THJ and my heart stopped lol.
asbestosman2
Dogshit trade for Washington tbh, but I just hate this because I wanted both players to end up on teams that are trying to win.
Mvious
Wasn’t Deni like their one bright spot?
Darkphobia_
IT SHOULD’VE BEEN US 😭😭😭
lawschoolthrowaway36
Why is Washington trading Deni at all? He’s good!
nutsygenius
2029 what pick? First?! No way
CoyotesSideEyes
That’s IT?! DAMN. Deni is good, this draft isn’t, and he’s on a great contract. Bonkers!
Fartknocker-
Huge steal for Portland here wow. Deni is such a solid player. Great get
SwoJabe
Damn I wanted him
LidlHarris
Great deal for Portland. Bit confused why Washington would do this? Surely Avdija is better than whoever they can get at 14?
ColeHoops
Not on my pre-draft bingo card
IllAlwaysBeAKnickFan
What the fuck are the Wizards thinking? He was by far their most intriguing player for the future. That’s insane.

The Troy Weaver curse has moved to washington LOL

Portland assistant GM n former ESPN draft analyst Mike Schmitz called him the steal of the draft at the time
zco22
Brogdon went from being an asset on competing teams to the cellar dweller teams. Cold world
Clithzbee
Deni is a good proven NBA player and the same age as Knecht. This is a great deal for Portland.
DoubleAmigo
Gives Bilal space to grow and gives you another bite at the apple in the late lottery tonight to pair with 2. Trade brogdan later if you want. Bit early for me giving up on Deni but they must think this year was a flash in the pan.

People asking why are the Wizards doing this —
Peeps, this would be a 4 year rebuild IF they had already got their star. They haven’t even got anywhere close to that. By the time the Wizards may sniff the playoffs, Deni is going to be late 20’s.
Just as the Mikal hate has gone too far, dude has done decent, but there is a chance Deni only hit these numbers cause it was the Wiz and they are selling high.
I don’t think that is the case, but I think the answer is somewhere in the middle. I’m not saying I agree with the trade, but the why of it is easy to understand.
Turddydoc
Blazers just need to get Cody Williams and then we got a fire young roster. Scoot, Sharpe, Williams, Deni, Ayton has some potential. Still gotta trade ant and grant and Robert tho.
Mister_Mangina
Feel pretty alright about this. If Deni’s 3 point shooting from this season wasn’t a mirage it’s a decent investment in a young wing who plays solid defense. Given that half of the players talked about in this draft are basically the same age as him a proven prospect locked into a good contract works for me. It also cleans up the cap sheet with the salary difference between Brogdon and Deni and gets the Blazers under the tax line. I’m also fairly certain Scoot is going to be much better at passing him the ball when he’s open from 3 than Poole was so he’ll probably be happier.
DIKS_OUT_4_HARAMBE
This is a bad trade simply because I wanted him on the Mavs
FlashMan1981
Wiz selling high on Deni, and per Bobby Marks this gets the Blazers under the first apron tax
That-Situation-3414
This Brogdon guy sure does move around a lot.
