we’ve got an update where Tyler KCK is off the board the Portland Trailblazers had the 34th overall pick and they selected via the New York Knicks the Marquette guard Knicks will be sending future second round picks for Tyler KCK so a guy that was thought to have had first round potential didn’t have to wait too long to get selected here in the second round Michael Donald Tim Dole Tommy train with you mod what are we thinking about poic in the Big Apple love it give me all that you got more you’re so excited you got more just can’t it perfect backup point guard for the New York Nick and Jaylen Brunson we we like lefties in New York I guess apparently but it’ll be interesting to see what they do with Duce McBride um but I just think Tyler KCK is I don’t think he was the best passor in college basketball last season uh he’s toughest Nails Great Floor General pass first guy 38% from three perfect up point guard for the New York Knicks second best team in the Eastern Conference what say you Tim do I think this is a better move for kic than it is the Knicks oh my goodness what a guy to learn from Jaylen Brunson no I mean you know Dallas you know one of the biggest mistakes ever in the history of the franchise now you get to learn from Jaylen Brunson who they I know that Jaylen Brunson you’re watching today it was not the same Jaylen Brunson that got drafted out of Villanova but what a guy to learn from I’ll bet this Michael Donal i’ would love to find this out if D Brunson had say with him drafting Tyler KCK uh like they’re trying to put together an all Big East roster aren’t they well I think that he anybody who knows anything about basketball this is why Mike likes him the kid really understands the game at an extremely high level he lacks athleticism he can’t jump in the hoop he’s a bit under sized but man he knows how to play and he is tough as nails and the way the Knicks are being built right now think of Josh Hart Think of OG anobi think of Dante D venzo they in body that personality and this kid fits in that style is he going to be a high impact player right away I obviously have my doubts about him but man he went to a really fun situation for himself I think kic is going to perfectly identify the role that he knows the Knicks need him to play I think it’s going to be a lot of this hey guys hey where to go guys I think that’s going to be his role hey where to go I disagree I think it’s going to be real backup minutes real backup minutes for Jaylen Brunson absolutely not in year one well not with tibs we know Tom tib usually likes to rely on Veterans sometimes it’s hard for a young player to crack the rotation and a tibs but they’re going to need guys like Tyler kic when Jaylen Brunson goes down with injury when he gets wor down now you’re now you’re hurting no I don’t want Hur I love Jaylen Brunson I’m just going off of what’s like you natur you know with the New York Knicks and how hard they play and what those kind of practi hey budy all those guys ended up breaking down at the end of the year so you know and that’s all give me a 38% from threep point guard who’s tough as nails and led the country in assist I think this is a you see his vision here I think Brunson had a lot to do with this pick Tommy I would love to see it find it out because if you if you know anything about basketball Mike’s got a really high basketball IQ that’s why he likes this guy he has all of like he’s a coach on the court and he’s a great teammate and the fact that he gets to learn from Brunson oh my goodness what a huge Advantage from Tyler kok you know we’ve been talking about second round picks like going to the right team in the right situation well this guy has an amazing situation to learn from a lefty who was undersized lacked athleticism couldn’t jump in the hoop wow it sounds exactly like Tyler K now he’s going to be playing alongside of him solid a from our Kyle Boone saying he brings with oh just an a huh just a flat a elite passing Vision a disruptive downhill driver uh did have some health questions lingering there with him during his time at marqu just an A+ or is it an A+ plus no just A+ not get too crazy it’s a soliday let’s not get too crazy we still got time speaking of time if you’ve got it go to our YouTube page for extended draft grade coverage or you can also go to CBS sports.com and catch up there
