breaking news out of the NBA couple of big moves for the Denver Nuggets star guard Jamal Murray working toward a 4year $ 209 million Max extension with the team that’s according to the athletic with both sides expected to a great also for Denver Swingman kavus cwell pulp declining his $5.4 million player option for next season become a free agent that’s also coming from the athletic the three and D performer expected draw some interest from several teams that have some cap space I’m Tommy train with Micha o’ Donnell and Tim Doyle so one season removed from being the Champs Jamal Murray getting closer to a big time deal Tim what are your thoughts here love it I mean fits with the culture uh came off a knee injury wasn’t sure if he was ever going to be the same player got team to an NBA championship they win a title makes big shots um love it you have to do it there’s no other way around it uh he just needs help and I think Denver should build around obviously him and yage but they need better pieces problem is the owners of the Nuggets they are Missouri grads so they are absolutely in love with Michael Porter junor I could probably get somebody else but that’s right when you own a team you know what you can do whatever hey whatever exactly right you can have whatever players you want to have so uh this guy’s awesome there’s no other way to say it he fits perfectly with Joker he is awesome that’s 50 million a year for a guy who has not been an Allstar yet though that’s a lot of money but he does perform come playoff time again taking a look at his career profile not a lot of the individual accolades but NBA champion some would say one of the great playoff performers so with nicolea yic one of the best onew candom in the association you know it’s crazy that we’re talking about him like this but this is the NBA and my dad played in the NBA 1962 1963 now he only played a handful of games but he would always tell us like oh the pros is all about just going to the right situation and you know Jamal Mur in uh the right situation there’s just no other way to say it like dear and fox if he was playing with yage we would probably talk about dearn fox in a different light like oh my God one of the best point guards of this era but like he doesn’t play with yage I mean yic is one of the greatest basketball players to ever play their skill sets fit one another he’s just in a great situation so the Nuggets just have to give him whatever he deserves to get as far as money you brought up some of the role players here quickly a final thought on kcp going to maybe test out the market could go back to Denver Tim if you were having to put down a $5 bet today what do you think Happ I don’t think they’re going to end up paying him I think someone else is going to give him more money and because you’re giving somebody else 50 million like they’re going to have to make some hard decisions so Christian Brown is someone they’re high on uh kcp of course if you’re a nuggets fan you want to have him he’s such a valuable player he’s a two-way guy he’s tough as Nails um but I don’t think they’re going to end up matching someone else is going to pay him crazy Money Mike yeah I agree with that I don’t think kcp goes back to Denver to your point there’s been a lot of quotes from management at Denver saying essentially you know we we’d like to have him back but I think we really believe in Christian Brown I think that is the future of that position that hybrid Wing position for Denver that’s they’re they’re all in on Christian Brown all right guys great stuff although it is early returns for next season in the association of course when we take a look at the odds this is to win the west and the Nuggets continue to be the betting favorite at plus 380 with the t-s and thunder right behind them plus 450 and plus 460 respectively [Music]
