[Justin Wills] Last season Doc Rivers mentioned multiple times that the Bucks are slow and struggle against pace. His first season in Philadelphia they drafted a quick guard in Maxey with the 21st pick. Doc played him 15 minutes per game.

Horst made the Bucks the laughingstock of the league last night. Nobody thinks this was a good pick.
This is the only sensible take for last night’s pick. Horst does have a track record of picking a guy the coaches at the time like, so it’s mostly just him making a joint decision with the org and the coaches.
And he played the younglings no minutes despite the fact the team is slow as hell, and old as dirt.
I’m not sure what this post is implying. That doc plays rookies? That doc held maxey back and he should have played more? But it’s not any indication of what AJ johnson will be doing. I doubt aj johnson will even be on the roster this year. And there is zero chance he sees meaningful minutes this season.
For all the people yesterday who were downplaying the value of the 23rd pick, Maxey was picked at 21.
