[Sidery] The Nuggets do not plan to enter a bidding war to retain Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, per @espn_macmahon. If a team offers a high annual value to Caldwell-Pope out of their price range, they will let him walk.

Yeah this front office has lost me man lol. Literal perfect 5th starter we won a championship with and we wont pay him for some reason.

So then what the hell was the reason for using 3 seconds to shed our expiring backup pg?

This could be a desperation heave trying to convince teams not to throw out big offers… reverse psychology and whatnot.

They’ll pay him but not at the cost of going over the 2nd apron

  5. I don’t get it, he’s 31. One of the older regular guys on the team. Did we win a championship with him?? Yes! We also lost western conference finals with him. Let him leave🤷‍♂️

  6. Booth has some serious disaster potential as our GM. He gets credit for his good moves- Bruce and trading for KCP. But, the last two off-season are shaping up to be disasters.

I really neef our cap guy to explain this. If KCP leaves, what cam we then offer free agents? Do we have any exceptions that suddenly come available?

I really want him back, that is my perfect scenerio. But if he leaves and we slot CB up, do we have money to actually pay for someone in the 6/7/8 slot ofbour rotation? MlE or some other exception?

Guess the kroenkes have told booth what the limit is on the cap

I just don’t understand the benefit in saying we’ll let him walk. Is Booth this big of an arrogant ass or am I missing something

While loosing kcp obviously makes the team worse this year, the front office has to ask themselves if paying kcp till he’s 35 or 36 is worth it. If we pay kcp, it locks us in to who we got with very little flexibility. I’m not saying I think letting him walk is right, but the goal is to win as many rings while jokic is here as possible and there’s an argument to be made that maintaining flexibility in the future is more valuable than overpaying for kcp.
