[Music] [Applause] [Music] good Monday morning to you I’m Dave Bacon in the sports for cl Studios a developing story with the Cleveland Cavaliers the Cavaliers have come to an end of their coaching search they are getting set to name Kenny Atkinson the next head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers Atkinson was a head coach in Brooklyn with the Nets from 2016 to 2020 uh had a 118 and 190 record one and four in the playoffs to be fair Brooklyn was in full rebuild rebuild mode when he took over uh both Jared Allen and Carris Levert of the Cavs have played for him last three years Atkinson has been an assistant for Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors got his coaching start on Mike dantony staff with the Nick Spa 15 um years ago so Kenny Atkinson getting set to be named the next head coach of the Cleveland Cavalier Donovan Mitchell four-year extension $200 plus million expected to be finalized soon Cavs will also draft 20th in the first round in Wednesday’s NBA draft we will have Sam Amo to talk all things Cavaliers we’ll talk about the new coach we’ll talk about the Mitchell extension and the NBA draft that’s coming up at 4 on Sports for Cle we’ll see you then
