Houston Rockets are about to break the NBA as you guys may have heard Mel Bridges just got traded to the New York Knicks the Brooklyn Nets also swung a trade with the Houston Rockets the Houston Rockets would acquire the Phoenix Suns 2027 first round pick and although some media Outlets were saying they missed out on acquiring Mel Bridges the truth is that they were never trying to trade for him instead they were going big game hunting trading for Kevin Durant you heard that correctly now how do the Houston Rockets intend on doing this and this is coming straight out of W’s mouth is that Houston wants to trade for Kevin Durant and that becomes far easier if they can return the Suns picks that they gave up in the Durant deal to the Nets now bear in mind at this point Phoenix said that they want to keep Kevin Durant but that could change throughout the regular season this would make sense considering the fact that the Phoenix Suns had one of the most disappointing seasons in the NBA and the West is just getting significantly better and if the Phoenix Suns ever decided to trade Kevin Durant to the Rockets then that would mean that

    I think that's a bad idea. KD is a top player and all of that, but his prime is going to be over soon and you've seen how he operated over the last few years. Let's say you do bail PHX put buy trading them back a bunch of assets, how long will KD even be happy in HOU before requesting a trade? And his tenure on the nets and suns didn't workout, but it will suddenly make Hou a contender?

    Just take it slow and develop your young guys and trade for pieces that match their timelines. Stop trying to rush the rebuild process. It didn't work for Brooklyn (twice) and it didn't work for PHX.

    Lmao Suns fan here and getting our pick back does nothing because they wouldnt be a bad team just because durrant was traded. They would still have beal and booker. The suns still had a decent record considering beal wad injured most of the season. Durrant is happy in phoenix and isnt going anywhere and phx only does a trade that makes them better so getting our pick back does nothing. Houston gm is stupid if they think thats what helps them. James jones made it very clear that Durrant was going nowhere unless he asks for a trade. Why would durrant ever want to go to a team that doesnt even have a allstar, lmao. Plus any trade for Durrant would require Jabari Smith and vanfleet or brooks and at least 4 1st as well as a couple other young players. Not happening!
