deadline to Sunday June 30th which is the start of NBA free agency at 5:00 Eastern 2:00 Pacific that’s when players can verbally agree to Deals here’s what Adrian W narowski had to say about this CP3 situation Golden State Chris Paul intend to move back the date to guarantee the $30 million on his 2024 2025 contract to the start of free agency on Sunday the deadline was originally today on Friday this gives the Warriors time to keep exploring trades Anthony Slater it’s notable that the Warriors and Chris Paul only pushed his guarant deadline back until Sunday not into July Golden State now has a small window this weekend to figure out possible trade paths but Paul needs clear view of his future prior to free agency so it’s some time in flexibility but not as much time as if we were to see this deadline be pushed back to July so Mike D leevy Jr Steve Kerr this Warriors team Joe lob the front office I imagine they’re on slack they’re texting one another they’re having phone calls they’re meeting in person they’re having meetings they’re at the facility trying to figure out some moves trying to figure out a CP3 trade and it’s a slippery slope that the Warriors are embarking on here pushing that date back until Sunday could mean a trade is in talks but Golden State now has two days to figure out a deal and they might not be able to do that so with that I po this question up will the Warriors find a TR trade for CP3 by Sunday why for yes and for no let me know what you’re thinking Down Below in the comment section right now throughout this week we had the NBA draft on Wednesday and Thursday free agency getting underway on Sunday there have been a lot of rumors there’s been a lot of speculation and a lot of reporting linking the Golden State Warriors to Paul George and this chatter is really heating up right now as we’re about to embark on free agency go golden state is interested in trading for Paul George and then giving him a 4year Max contract and according to some reports PG wants to stay on the west coast he is a California guy that’s why he might not sign with the team like Philadelphia in the northeast or with the Orlando Magic in Florida even though they have a lot of money and they could use Paul George as a fit here’s what Brian wior had to say on ESPN he wants a full out match and there are a number of teams out there I am told that are prepared to give it to him who are prepared to trade for him one of those teams potentially is up the coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco in Golden State Wy also said Point her fingers that golden state is Big Fish hunting that’s something that you should be excited about that’s something that I’m excited about because I want to see Golden State capitalize on Steph Curry being in his prime I want to see Golden State go all in on being competitive in a deep but wideopen Western Conference Steph Curry is still playing at an extraordinarily Elite level but we saw this past year and the year before that the team around him simply is not good enough for Championship contention Paul George in the Warriors eyes could get them to that level so for me I want to see this team be competitive once again I want to see Steph get ring number five go get Paul George this is a player who can help you on both ends of the floor three-level scorer Elite Defender I get the age money and injury concerns but when he’s on the floor this is an excellent basketball player who I don’t think a lot of people realize how good he is because he’s been playing on a Clippers team where there’s always controversy about them choking because that’s been the organizational history you’re going to have to give up some assets for Paul George but you could make it work who could be delt that’s currently on this Warriors roster right now Chris Paul’s making $30 million per year Andrew Wiggins there’s been some Buzz that the Warriors don’t want him to play with team canidate in the Olympics Wiggins is not happy he’s due 26.2 Moses Moody 5.8 Jonathan kaminga at 7 A2 Gary Payton at 9.1 and cavon Looney at $8 million and what did we talk about this week with gp2 and cavon Looney that the Warriors may have brought them back intentionally in order to include them in a trade we’re seeing this happening all across the NBA as teams try to get some leverage and they try to have some flexibility and they try to have some trade assets if they want to make some moves of course the most notable players on this list a couple of them right but the best is Jonathan kaminga who you might have to part ways with because the Clippers are going to want back a marquee talent I think the ideal scenario here is you find a way to keep Jonathan kaminga and instead you trade Moses Moody CP3 or Wiggins and then draft picks because you have those in the chamber too for Paul George that would give Golden State Championship upside while keeping Jonathan kaminga which I think would be a really good basketball here Klay Thompson has some more suitors going into free agency on Sunday as well and there’s an increasing likelihood that a clay departure is actually going to happen come to fruition and it’s going to be a reality as for those teams interested in clay Philadelphia 76ers they have $55 million in cap space it can go north of 70 depending on who they retain who they bring back and who they sign Klay Thompson alongside Tyrese Maxi and Joel embiid also makes a lot of sense because he can get a lot of shots along the three-point Arc they could use that within that offense they don’t want somebody who’s going to handle the basketball too much where possessions die because EMB and Maxi handled the ball and then Klay Thompson could still play defense a little bit here’s what Anthony Slater of the athletic had to say about clay if Paul George goes back to the Clippers which I would still categorize as the most likely scenario the Sixers have a lot of money to play with of the potential Klay Thompson suitors they’re the ones that probably provide the biggest Financial offer 76ers cap space as I said 55 plus million and they can get that up to $72 million so that’s the room to pay Clay Thompson he gets money opportunity to chase a championship and he fits team number two a team that just made it to the NBA finals that’s a Dallas Mavericks with Luca donic and Kyrie Irving I think clay going there would get so many open three-point looks playing with Kyrie Irving and Luka donic because they demand so much attention and the Mavericks just traded away Tim Hardaway junr Mark Stein on the clay front League sources tell the Stein line that the Dallas Mavericks with some Newfound Financial flexibility after securing the Tim Hardaway Jr to Detroit trade that I wrote about on Tuesday slight Flex there from Stein our another team intent on exploring the feasibility of signing Thompson once he makes it to free agency the Mavs are over the cap right now so this would have to be a sign in trade where the Warriors would sign to the deal that the Mavs want to pay him and then they trade him away but then the Warriors get some assets back and could you interest Golden State if you’re Dallas in Maxi kba a big who can shoot even though you just drafted Quinton post who’s a seven-footer who can shoot and then Josh Green is a player who I thought was going to be a bust to start his career it’s actually ended up being a solid rotation piece who in game five against the Celtics was one of the only players for the Mavs who actually brought it and was hitting shots and you look at the salaries here that helps Dallas with some salary matching for clay depending on how much the Mavericks are willing to pay him I think that would be a good fit and Clay could get paid and then how about this team I don’t think a lot of Warriors fans would like this because the dubs could be competing with Denver but it is the nuggets Anthony Slater Sam amch if the Nuggets lose free agent to be cavius Caldwell Pope who has decided to decline his player option and enter the market a leag source said Denver has Peg Thompson as a possible replacement I’m not sure how this gets done with Denver $75 million over the cap and not many sign and trade candidates on the roster but when you have Jamal Murray and niic and they demand attention on the offensive end of the floor I mean Klay Thompson is just going to be hanging out around the three-point art yo you give me the rock bang bang nugget gang right Tim kawakami I’m moving my odds on Klay Thompson resigning with the Warriors below 50% for the first time down to 48 I love the journalistic preciseness The Vibes on this are not tremendous I think clay ends up leaving I think it’s a tough day for Golden State and for
