He should go; contending teams need to clear cap space and would love this opportunity. We’ve got Brogdon as a veteran presence for at least half a season before we deal him at the deadline.

Not sure where he goes prior to the season when he was linked to the Tim Hardaway package. He feels like a piece that a team like Orlando, Phoenix, LA will inquire about closer to the playoffs.

Pre-season, he feels like a bundle guy.

This is a good thing right? Gives us more flexibility to push this back til after FA begins. Means we can still move him to a team who wants to get off a bad contract (+ picks) to free up cap space (by declining him) to sign a FA this want. And if we can’t find a trade partner, we can either keep him for the season and try to trade him before/at the deadline. Or just decline the option I guess. Either way this just gives us more flexibility all around.

God it feels good to finally have a competent front office.

  4. I’m pretty sure his contract becomes guaranteed if hes traded. Only we can cut him and get the benefit of getting him off the books immediately
