yesterday and the Memphis Grizzlies took two players from said round in addition to that there was a bunch of other guys that were drafted not the least of which was LeBron James son and we will talk about uh yesterday’s draft coverage round two what the Grizzlies ended up with what every other team ended up with and in addition to that that got out of the way because there was a presidential debate last night we’ll get to that we’ll get to all the news and notes of the day we’ll get you ready for the weekend it’s Friday it’s hot outside but smile let’s do it turn it up in your life should yeah yeah hope everybody’s having a good day all right so yesterday was a new experience uh it’s going to be super interesting to see how the second round of the NBA draft played out especially as a nonprime Time Event it was just it was just jarring to be watching the second round of the NBA draft at 3:00 in the afternoon on a weekday and obviously uh the coverage yesterday there were like uh you know whatever it is 30 picks that are made but it felt like if you were watching yesterday’s draft coverage that those 30 picks were all an interruption of the bronny James special that took place on ESPN yesterday it was like and I joked with Kevin oconor last night they should have just called it the bronny James special probably could have gotten even bigger ratings than whatever they’re going to get because interspersed in bronny James discussions were actual picks that were made including two that were made by the home team Memphis Grizzlies we we’ll get to everything that took he is better and brighter and you know quicker and whatever than he has than I’ve ever seen him than I’ve ever seen him and then like 12 days later the guy rolls out on the stage and he’s like in asylums and murder he’s just he’s just losing the plot like like they obviously tried to fill his brain with a couple of different things yeah at the same time and he’s just conflating them he’s like going from one thing to the next nobody’s answering any of the questions bro if they asked them about child care and they just spent 20 minutes telling each other that they were the worst president ever he is the worst president of all time a panel of 159 people said he’s the worst yo that was wild crazy it was it was ridiculous man I loved it I love wildly entertaining wildly I don’t usually Tune In from from politics but last night I made sure I was in I was in front of a TV for every bit of day yeah all right so and and then obviously the cratering that’s today in the political media is just oh the dud don’t oh my go oh God it was you know what it reminded me of last night it reminded me of listening to a Tennessee post game after they lost to Missouri yeah and ran for like 4,000 yard run you remember that like two different Running Backs from Missouri had like 200 yard like they’re just they’re just beside themselves depressed so depressed so we got to do something what are we going to do what are we doing yeah that’s what it was like it was like the Tennessee Missouri postgame show yeah that’s what it felt like when I left it on the channel um look the afternoon was spent watching the bronny James special and that was just I got to be honest with you absolutely bizarre the whole thing was bizarre what them like having a draft picture in that studio like that was weird the way the studio was set up the draft picks in the studio them putting on the wrong hat like literally every pick and then Cassidy hover having to ask them about how they’re going to fit in with a team they’re not going to be playing for it was just all weird and then and then uh like and and I get it like it takes time for these trades to go through and things can’t happen because I was told uh today Edie and wells will be here but cam Spencer won’t be here you haven’t even posted anything about cam or anything because the tra the trade has to go through it’s not gonna be official until so then they have so then they have to do this song and dance even during draft night where it’s like you’re putting on the hat of a team like I have a bunch of like one of the years that I collected cards I have a bunch of those OJ Mayo in a t-wolves hat and Kevin Love in a Grizzly’s hat rookie cards because they take the pictures like right then in many of the Bron Clark you remember Brandon Clark If you look at Brandon Clark’s Draft Day photos he’s wear OKC hat oh wow yeah it’s just also odd they got to figure that out so that one’s strange and then they’re like using the panel time to almost exclusively talk about bronny James every other segment and then every once in a while they will kick it over to like Jonathan gavone and and and Bobby Marx who are in this weird little chair set up in their own section of the it was just all strange everything was strange about it they said imagine ESPN can’t do basketball stuff right that’s what our boy in the chat said they can’t do nothing right wasn’t it bizarre it was weird we thought it was we were watching up here like this whole setup is weird then Bob mys went on stage was like um Rich Paul said if you try to take bronny then he’s going to send him to Australia I’m like what is what yeah and the other thing right yeah well they kept teasing the Bob Meyers news yeah Bob Meers as news and then Bob Meers basically told us that rich Paul was calling all of these teams and telling them don’t take him or I’m going to send the guy to Australia and it’s like this is like the whole this whole second round and then they’re like oh yeah and then uh this guy who just played for you car just got drafted all right back to bronnie so what I’m being told right now is that rich Paul is calling everyone and telling them not and then you know then it became this hourong lecture about how we’re not supposed to say anything about nepotism or the fact that this guy’s only getting drafted because of his dad or that you know and then they’re having to like they’re having to pull back the curtain on the way that we know a lot of things work agents always try to do this and angle right like you could go back to once upon a time there was this uh uh there was a story about um remember when we traded Rudy Gay and like the first time around when his name like came up there was this whole thing about how you know when his contract came up like his agent was calling around saying don’t trade for Rudy don’t trade for Rudy he ain’t resigning with you he ain’t resigning with you right and so like you you’re trying to leverage whatever you can whatever is in the best interest of your client is what you are attempting to leverage and this kind of stuff happens all the time so that’s not that big of a deal but people don’t talk about it on air they don’t talk they they don’t talk about that much on air they also don’t talk about and the weird thing is like the only time because again you can say whatever you want about the nepotism thing and nepotism goes on in all sports and nepotism goes on in society and like we know right but people do [ __ ] about it like you know mean like like they like you know what I mean like it’s always presented as like the only reason uh that anybody’s complaining about this like people complain about nepotism all the time when it when it comes to things right and so but it was like don’t complain about this one because it happens other places and it’s like well they kind of complain about that in other places too and it’s like it it it and and and when it is complained about is when it where they feel like somebody is given an opportunity that was not qualified for the opportunity and that’s the only time where I was where I was like come on bro when they tried to lecture me about how like the un u like the unqualified wouldn’t understand this guy is a real Prospect you know like stop stop bro just don’t don’t try to lecture me on why the guy that we just watched him okay if you want to tell me he’s a project if you want to tell me you know what I mean it’s worth a f but like the whole like here’s what he shot from three unguarded and the you know what I mean like they didn’t none of it was balanced and the other thing that I couldn’t stand about yesterday was and I guess I don’t know maybe this is part for the course and the second round or whatever it was all just here’s what this guy brings to the table and here’s what’s go you know here’s who they took and here’s what this guy brings to the table and here’s you know and then they might say you know he needs to work on his body a little bit but blah blah blah but it was all like not one time not one time did the entire thing did anyone ever say you know I don’t really get this yeah like why are they taking a why are they taking another shooting guard when they’ve got you know this guy this guy and this guy why are they you know like this is you know and it was always this guy was higher on my board than where he’s getting selected so this is a steal but there was none of this like I it was just strange there was nobody giving an opinion that was and I don’t even want to say negative but the slightest bit objective right or balanced about the situation where you say like whoa like what yeah you’re taking this guy and that is one of the beauties of the NFL draft is that there’s always the debate about the pick right and it was like Bob Myers doesn’t know any of these players no W is there for news yeah and Stephen A Smith knows literally none he doesn’t even know he doesn’t know the players he also doesn’t even know like he would like be looking down at his thing and he’d be like uh it says right here that the Raptors gave up the you know most points in the league so they need to work on their defense like thanks you know what I KN I knew Bob Myers didn’t know anything about what’s going on when he said two players in a row two two or three players in a row every team in the NBA wants a 69 Wing that can dribble pass and shoot he said there were two players in a row and I was like well then and then every once in a while they’ll go over to gavone and gavone will say what he’s got to say about you know the player cuz he actually knows all of these players but he’s literally the only one yeah that knows any like that knows these guys so it’s like what are they doing why do they not have people that know these players they got one guy one guy like could you imagine if like you watching the NFL Network and they just had like they didn’t have le rck and Daniel Jeremiah and Mike Mayock or whoever they’ve got right or if they did that on the NF and they just had like they just put Brian eracer and whoever like some no it was like if it was like Brian erer and like Michael Irvin yeah who don’t watch any of those proc they’re just there for entertainment purposes but yeah if they yeah it was was just bizarre like Michael like Michael Irvin would have no idea who the third round cornerback out of Florida state that just got taken by the New York Giants is would have no idea and you know I know that Adam Silver always you know recoils at the fact that the games and the basketball the actual basketball is sometimes playing second fiddle to the drama in the news people like the transaction people like the stories people like the rumors people like the off the court stuff people like the outfits people like the you know what I mean like it’s this whole ecosystem of the NBA and games and actual you know what people are like the business of it which is the basketball of it right can sometimes play second fiddle and can sometime generate a lot less interest I will tell you our like for the match this is almost every year free agency and the draft will that will outperform anything oh yeah the trans that’s not the game it could be the NBA finals and it’s just not going to right we could be talking about game three of Boston Dallas and it’s just not going to and and part of that is you’re you you when you’re talking about free agency and you’re talking about the draft or whatever you are engaging every in those things but and those are the things to generate but I I I I guess I just kind of roll my eyes at you like saying things like you know we wish that the basketball mattered more that the games were more important or that people would talk about right basketball and the actual sport than all the other stuff that generat so much interest um because obviously you need people to watch for TV ratings you need to be in the arena for ticket sales like the basketball is still the business of it right Opera is not the is not the business people aren’t spending money on the soap opera people are spending money on the product right and and then you do your second round of the draft and you make the whole thing with nobody that knows any of the players except for one dude who’s in a side room you know and you made the whole thing about LeBron’s kid yep that’s and it’s like if you want people to care about the product they talk about the product right who are these kids what’s something interesting about these kids where did this guy play you know I mean you got one guy that has any ability to talk about the actual players and yet your entire panel that you have there cannot give you opinions on any of the players drafted it’s just freaking weird except number 55 who if I’m looking up the history of 55 picks they’re all been bums the best 55 pick in the last since 1995 has probably been Louis skola and that was 2002 but they generate numbers yeah there’s no and that’s why I said they should have just called it the bronny James special because that’s what generates numbers but what I’m saying is I’ve always felt like if you want like I almost felt like that should have been what is known as the ABC human interest broadcast on on the NFL draft right yeah there’s the human interest broadcast and then there’s the one for the football fans like at least give us an alternate broadcast for the basketball fans yeah because of someone who was you know obviously I’m watching it through the prism of somebody that’s got two picks I want to hear more about these guys and you don’t have that much more time but they’re even saying oh and the Grizzlies took Jaylen Wells and Jaylen Wells was you know he’s an interesting story and he’s a really good shooter he shot over 40% and you know I like this pick for the Grizzlies obviously you know uh every team needs shooting and blah blah and then it’s like back to bronnie James and Rich Pro calling everyone saying that he’s like what like huh I just I don’t know man it was I yesterday too as you see the way that second round plays out I was I will say um I’m always in favor of shooting and they were able they grabbed two guys that have a track record of really being able to shoot not like hey if we get him in here we can you know hopefully we can turn him into a guy that can be reliable like these guys have have shown they can shoot the basketball whether or not they can do all the other things that are important to be able to get on the for the Grizzlies or whether Roser is just going to be watching you know cam Spencer and uh oh I already blanked on the other’s name uh Wells jayen Wells Jaylen Wells yeah um you know down uh you know with the hustle next year but I mean I I always like the idea of especially and they have been very very good in the second round it’s like what if these guys can really shoot it man everybody everybody wants guys that can shoot and they went for shooting in that second round and so here’s hoping that those uh that those players can end up being very good I thought it was interesting that yesterday uh I said to you I joked about how somebody had told me Memphis just uses an ex Excel spreadsheet and they’re just going to take Zach Ed because he’ll be the highest on the Excel spreadsheet and whatever and then yesterday I said here’s some names to watch for round round two of the NBA draft according to the Excel spreadsheet and I just pulled Kevin pelton’s analytical model that he had posted up yeah yeah and Jet Wells was on there so I mean I mentioned that name yesterday as a guy right like I mean the analytical models say that he will be able to translate to the NBA that what he does he’s able to translate to the NBA I like his story D2 he started at D2 too bro that’s a dude that’s hung been hungry since the beginning right he was at Sonoma stadi in D2 then he worked his way up to D1 and being a high level player so we can rock with that bro we can rock with that why not I’m with it I’m with it zero and you know my guy fan yeah he will here I mean he all the way back two more in 2003 and then in 2004 Drew Gooden in 2003 and in 2004 shout out Theon Smith Theon Smith yeah those are the players to wear number zero love to see it I just clicked on this article that says analysis and fits for all 58 draft picks from John Hollander and S Vini and then it only goes through 30 fake new fake news fake news bro F news fake news cuz I was going to tell you what they said about these I was going to tell you about these these guys yeah and whether or not that it was uh good ideas in their minds who they took for who they took with those picks he analysis and fits for all 58 draft picks and there’s I don’t understand yeah that’s cap on the on holler man uh well on the Hollinger one there is the uh takeaways from and one of the things in his uh takeaways from was most divisive pick and it says I’m not sure how Zach Ed is going to work out in Memphis but I’m very sure he will be among the league leaders in opinions between now and opening day adding to the mystery Edy might not be available for summer league as he’s joining the Canadian national team training for the Olympics there are multiple elements to this discussion first the question of Ed’s ability to survive on defense in the NBA while he was very effective playing drop coverage in the Big 10 the speed and perimeter focus of the NBA will challenge him in ways that college basketball did not and second of all there’s a fit issue putting a Clydesdale out there with Greyhounds Memphis wants to run and John Morant and Company may end up leaving Ed in the dust the Grizzlies also seem to be tilting towards a smaller faster defensive alignment with former defensive player J Jackson Jr playing Center adding Ed to the mix would push Jackson back to the four and leave Memphis bigger and slower how will it work out we likely won’t get much information until October all right so yeah and and look if there’s one uh and this is all the questions that everybody has had and there’s one basic truism uh it is that that this is as I said yesterday there’s no lack of opinions yeah I will say there are a lot more positive opinions yes than negative opinions there are a lot of people there are a lot of positive opinions about this a lot of people that love him and are like dude he is way better than you think saw this is not your typical he mostly was in our comments yesterday who Raheem moer the running back for the Dolphins yeah he commented on our thing he played at Purdue yeah oh he did he did play he was he was in our comments yesterday like he’s find out that it’s just Purdue people right right that are like seeking out anybody saying anything and so I I told Kevin I said you know one of the things is like we deal with this sum uh amongst NBA fan bases I said but College fan bases are a different world I said I’ve lived that life for 20 something years and I was like and the other thing is what you find to be true amongst College fan bases is that they will then just become fans of your team and so you’ve brought in a whole lot of people that don’t necessarily or didn’t necessarily care about your franchise but now all of a sudden and obviously you would expect that there’s a high percentage of Purdue fans that are probably Indiana Pacers fans right that’s their home team that’s their home state team or whatever but we are of no competition with them we will be their favorite Western Conference team and in many cases be their favorite team because we and and and and and that college Fame is a thing where certainly we have Murray State night and oh bro every Murray State fan is a Memphis grizzli fan every person that lives in Murray Kentucky is a Grizzly’s fan everybody that lives in Murray Kentucky you know we experienced this years ago I remember when uh years ago you would see like the traction that they would get when they would post something or or even me if I’d post something about like Wayne Seldon he’d go Bonkers yeah because Kansas fans and it was like what in the world like he M like still stuck with him love him root for him and it’s like Javon Carter was like that bro oh yeah West Virginia channel three here because pton Manning was that big a deal and that many Tennessee fans became Indianapolis Colts fans there are still to this day you will you will find more New York Giants fans in this city because of people that went to Old Miss just adopted the Giants because of Eli Manning you know what yeah yeah and you say and so that college thing and the translation of the college thing is so much greater than anybody ever gives it credit for and I say this in in part because I play uh I’ve got I’ve got uh a couple buddies both in uh a golf group that I play with and then just friends of mine that are and like I’ll be like uh talking about like a Cowboys game or the Cowboys or whatever or they’ll ask me at the Cowboys and I and they’re all Cowboys fans and it’s all of like all these guys that I’m talking about it’s all because they’re Mississippi State fans like they are Mississippi State Al lumps oh Dak yes yeah yeah yeah and so they root for the Cowboys because Dak is the quarterback of the Cowboys and if Dak you know if the Cowboys thing didn’t work out and he went and played for the Houston Texans they’d be Houston Texans fans or whatever you know what I’m saying but they are I mean this is now this is years down the road right and they have always they they’ve been Cowboys fans since the day that Dak Prescott became their starting quarterback because I mean they they’ve never had more success at Mississippi State and with d i mean they were ranked number one in the country with that Dak Prescott Dan Mullen like I think it is it was it the very first it was the first college football player of rankings or whatever tell you know that de you showed the the pictures of that ja Camp over the weekend what was dude Brock py just held his football camp at Iowa State oh God and it’s it is it’s insan it’s like that it is just freaking kids going as far back as you can go you got all kinds of Purdue fans yeah that now are going to be coming into the mix and paying attention to this and being involved with the Grizzlies I mean his jersey is going to sell like crazy oh yeah that Ed Jersey going to go crazy in the it’s an amazing Jersey if he’s awesome it’s amazing and if it goes horrible which we pray it doesn’t it’s a good amazing like 5 10 years from now hey and you know the other time Roser appreciate this you know the other time where you see the college fan base thing gets insane is every year because I’ve been involved in this on the like where I’ve tried to bid on them every year the Memphis hustle do a Jersey Auction yeah for their special night or whatever and you see those numbers on some of the jerseys get crazy and I’m like what in the world and it’s all it’s not Grizzlies fans bidding on it it’s all the college fans and they’re bidding on their Memphis H I would imagine that there is a I would imagine that your audience for hustle games is three to one college fans yeah cuz one Adonis arms like that too Adonis had a big or maybe more my steps sister when she came in town from Austin she specifically asked asked me she goes hey can you get me tickets to a hustle game I know you do the hustle games I was like I’ve weren’t part of winning but the guys that were part of the best years those guys are always like that you you you become fans of them for life all of them and so it’s going to be it’s going to be Orleans yep okay New Orleans Trey Murphy they took uh the kid from Baylor yees Missy the center yeah they took him uh 21st in this year’s draft and Hawkins from last year will play right Hawkins from remember when I did that whole bit I in fact I don’t have it sitting here in front of me cuz I don’t have my stuff still uh from doing it but let me look at uh player rankings if I’m not mistaken when I went back and did uh when I went back and did the player rankings for uh to find out like who the top 10 high school guys were in fact we can revisit that now now that we know that uh the way that the draft played out um so if you can pull up the wait wasn’t it like a number one number one recruit hold on pull up the pull up the draft if you will all right yeah just this dra okay and you can tell me where these kids went okay so this is 247 this is what I had written down uh a couple of months ago when we were doing the draft and I said just keep a lookout because there’s many occasions where we look back and the guy was ranked very very highly amongst his peers coming out of high school and then extenda circumstance for some reason or another he did not go like it was expected to go when the kid was coming out if if you just drafted these kids straight out of high school mhm right yeah so the number one player was Ron Holland went Fifth and I told you guys that was the one over and over again I said look man this guy was always ranked number one and when it’s all said and done I don’t believe he’s going to go where they say he’s going to go somebody’s G to take a chance on it right uh especially in this type of draft where there were so many unknowns yeah number two on this list I’ll just go through the top 10 was Isaiah CER 29th to Utah mhm that’s Danny a too yeah who has had success doing that he drafted all of the pedigree kids he Cody Williams Philip palsky isaah CER he just drafted the high school talent right there that’s right Isaiah CER uh three Justin Edwards just he was third undrafted undrafted third damn on 247 Sports he is the third ranked player in the class sheesh that’s wild yeah I mean it’s it look nothing is 100% this has been it’s had a very good track record over the years but I mean you’ll remember even I mean mus CE is one of these top 10 players he’s playing in Memphis next year yeah and that was years ago that was in uh 98 right can’t remember what they called it maybe LP Field whatever the hell they called it at the time uh in in Nashville right so the radio station I was working for at the time we we ran Titans games and so the guy was like uh will you know you got to drive but we’ll play for your hotel room you want to go cover titans’s training camp and I was like okay yeah I’ll do it so I went and the two guys there there’s one guy that was a writer for the newspaper and there was another guy who was like the huge radio host at the time in Nashville um the writer was Joe bid the radio host was a guy named George plaster who has passed away now but and you know how you always remember these people that were so nice to you they were so nice to me showed me the Rope showed me who to talk to they were cool to me the whole time right and they were like the guys in Nashville right and so I meant a lot um that they were so kind to me when I did it and so anyways I’m there during this week of training camp I don’t really know what I’m doing but I’m just trying to you know I’m putting my recorder up like everybody else after the deal and then after they played in the scrimmage I went in the locker room and went and did did interviews with the different like the Indianapolis Cults were there so like Marvin Harrison this is that whole crew like Dallas Clark I think was on that team Bob Sanders bro I I in one one day when I’m cleaning out like I have so many things that are archived I have to find it somewhere it would be on it would be on one of those like mini tapes you remember those like tape recorders with the mini tapes in them but I guarantee I still have it somewhere but that’s what I ran around with was this recorder with these mini tapes and I never threw any of that stuff away but I uh I go up to Ed and James Edan and James got all golds in and he’s in the locker room of course I’m so intimidated I’m like 20 whatever right and uh he like uh he like looks at me and I’m like uh you know Edan I I asked him something like you know just whatever regular question right media question and uh he looks at me and he’s like how old are you and I was like I’m like I was like I’m 20 21 and he’s like 21 years old huh 21 huh he’s like look at this dude look at this dude look how young he look you got young and I’m just standing there like I don’t know how to be cool in this situation at all to mention I am in shock and awe that I’m even getting to interview Edan James or that I’m even in this locker room in the first place you look over here it’s pton Manning you look over here it’s Marvin Harrison you look over here it’s you know Dallas Clark or whoever and I’m like uh um uh he’s like look at this dude he look how young he looked he looked like he about 14 you know blah blah like can can I just have my recorder I didn’t know what I was going to do so I I went back I went back and like you know of course my boss is like so what kind of audio did you get look at this I got this like let me tell you oh if you only knew I was in front of Ed James you brother you want to talk about rattled yeah buddy buddy Ed J rattled had the braids had the golds of course he’s a freaking tank yeah he just he grabbed my he he grabbed my recorder yeah you he started he just dropping bars into my recorder I would have I got to find that tape s somewhere it exists somewhere hilarious that just a free up money deal for Denver yesterday he so good for them well no I didn’t like it because KJ Simpson got drafted by Charlotte who that’s one of the guys that I really liked the kid from Colorado and I’m like all the short guard yeah and now now you I mean where do you get stuffed when it comes to that kind of thing because it’s like if you got Reggie Jackson you’re probably playing Reggie Jackson or maybe Reggie Jackson ends up getting bought out being able to sign with the veteran he want to be around that Charlotte stuff he’s not going you wouldn’t think so he’s 34 years old right maybe yeah maybe the coach can be like yo be a vet cuz you know they got a new coach and everything all right but nah if I’m reg get me out of there Emanuel quickly got $175 million from the Raptors I mean is this just what these dudes are going to get paid now I think we’re just going to have to re on this really sounds but there is part of me that sits there and goes man you’re going to be spending almost $400 million on Emanuel quickly and Scotty Barnes two really in total two really good role players it’s like well Barnes could be I think Barnes could be the second best player yeah team yeah if you’re going to be like a title team I just I like quickly he ain’t worth a hundred million more dollars than Marcus or Malik monk oh no no way did Malik monk get $75 million or $80 way we think about this stuff and I get it more years more whatever like it’s still like that total contract like the monk thing happened like three days ago yeah so we don’t have to adjust that much he literally got a 100 million more dollars in total contract a 100 million like you ain’t I don’t know yeah yeah that’s a little wild that’s that’s a little wild I’m not in love with quickley no n know everybody there’s going to be a bunch of teams that are tanking for the Cooper flags and the ace Bailey and the Dylan Harpers and as I’ve said many times I’ve seen flag in person I mean he’s as real deal as it possibly gets you’ve seen him in person as well and I’ve been told Ace Bailey same thing like that he’s just like these guys are worth thanking for like these these guys are people uh people that are like really smart people think that these are like multiple time All-Star level type of players which you identified you know rather early um one of the things that was interesting just on this very first run through and seeing kind of who is projected in this to see if there I was trying to see if there was anybody that was either me Memphis or Memphis adjacent right like somebody that they would be playing against uh next year or and there are in fact for this year at least the first go round I thought it was interesting to see like if you just go through the top 10 on their very first mock draft right a player that’s playing at Duke a player that’s playing at Ruckers a player that’s playing at Ruckers a a French player a player that’s playing at Baylor a player that’s playing at Duke a Spanish player a player that’s playing at Texas a player that’s playing at BYU a player that’s playing at Yukon it does not seem at least on this first go there are not nearly as many International prospects like that’s a lot of college basketball players and and and and so this is what made me think right it’s like we had this change right before our eyes but now it it becomes to me very very clear we went through this whole bit where it was like okay these guys are all gonna go make money and I feel like we just had the cut off like this is the impact of what has taken place with the rule changes in college basketball and College athletics as a whole and being able to profit off of your name and likeness and being playing for these schools that now because that door got opened up these kids are going to college yeah right like we went through that whole span where it’s like a bunch of good ones a bunch of good ones none of them like even scoot Anderson even lamelo Ball even like we went through a bunch of them Ron Holland and and buellis right and it’s like if it was like it is now and it’s you know now it’s kind of Flushed itself out to where you kind of know what guys are getting paid it was still kind of a mystery even last year because it was first go round with this but you wonder Ron Holland probably goes to college and Bellis probably goes to college to I’m up and down this list and you don’t see gague you don’t see OT you don’t see right they’re going to college the so it’s like they’ve turned because of the money thing it feels like we are back to Turning college basketball into the minor leagues yes for the NBA and that had really had a massive Dent there was a draft just a few years ago or was it last year it it certainly within the last couple of years I I mean what who was the third pick in last year’s draft cuz we Wy didn’t play college basketball oh no it it’s Miller Miller did play college basketball Alabama right
