Philadelphia 76ers land another Tyrese Maxi or at least somebody that could be developed into damn near being another Tyrese Maxi and yes I’m talking about their 16th pick in which they took the selection of Dukes Jared McCain we’re talking about a guy that’s liable to give your favorite player 20 then record a Tik Tock dancing to the player’s favorite song in the locker room afterwards listen if you’re a Philly 76ers fan I’m telling you right now y’all damiel just got one of the biggest deals in the 2024 NBA draft and that’s because of What Not only what Jared McCain brings into the table but also because of how he fits into the team and ways he could be valuable right now which I definitely feel like is rare for a team like the 76ers going into NBA draft and I say that because bro the 76 just were not was not buns this past season 47 and 35 that’s almost a 50 win season like they was tough it was just injuries that got in the way of you know really making that deep playoff run and you know really getting a good standing going into the playoffs and yet as a result of this they were able to get somebody that was a top 10 pick Talent without actually having a lottery pick feel me they got this man at 16 you know usually 16 or like teams as good as the 76ers they’re just hoping to get a late first rounder maybe a mid first rounder and hoping he doesn’t strike out he has some value maybe along the lines of Draymond Green it’s usually not somebody with the offensive capabilities of Jared McCain and in today’s video we’ll talk about why he is a major steal for the 76ers averaging 14 points five rebounds two assists a steal shooting 46% from the field and 41% from three damn near attempting 6 threes a game I’m telling y’all the man has a burner he’s a sniper and this is where a lot of his value comes from you feel me his offensive capabilities and that’s not even to say he plays no defense cuz that’s not the case either but we’ll get into that later yeah this man Jared McCain bro he scores in the past NCAA tournament he had a performance in which he dropped 30 points and hit a record 8 threes for Duke and you know whenever you can get a record at a school like Duke you’re really doing something because we know what type of prospects come out of Duke you feel me so that’s not no small feed that’s not a small achievement and then beyond the three-point shooting Bro Jared McCain can get it in a lot of different ways he can twe tween his he spin move get the layup or even a lot of times he just goes for the crafty floater a Defenders think they got a block they look behind him and the ball just went through the hoop you know so point being Jared McCain’s bag is not very limited so yeah and it’s saying that obviously he’s going to have to adapt to NBA speed NBA size you know NBA players are just they’re Pros they’re grown men however I’m just saying he possesses the foundational skills that should eventually transfer over and when it does what that boy James har used to say bro scary hours but anyway moving on let’s talk about this man’s defensive abilities now I’m not going to come out here and act like he’s Patrick Beverly Jaren McCain does not a lock down strap you up and really make things super difficult for you Defender however he has been described by Scouts as a high eort effort Defender you know Relentless that fights through screens and is very present in the passing Lane you know you throw a dumb pass he snatching that he’s getting he getting all the cookies so yeah it may not be all that but it’s like it’s very rare you see players at his size that are really crazy Defenders I mean at 62 with his offensive capabilities that’s all you can ask for you know it’s not many Davon Mitchells Patrick Beverly’s or to some extent Drew holiday out there and then even holiday he barely undiz for real man about 6’4 so yeah that just goes to prove my point but anyway moving on let’s get into how Jared McCain fits into the 76ers Team all right I’m not going to Kid myself right I’m not going to Kid myself and act like he’s going to be starting off rip cuz that’s not happening I mean hopefully eventually he becomes a starter obviously but right now it’s not a lot of room for him in that starting lineup you know you got Tyre Maxi borderline Allstar really a certified Allstar kayy UB Nick Paton Tobias Harris Joel embiid again it’s not a lot of room in that starting lineup however off the bench we’re talking about a weapon in the making and that’s why I said literally as the video began why y’all let the 76ers get another Tyrese Maxi Because unless someone is just a casual and just started watching basketball this past season man you know tyres Maxi was not always your your super dupa come off the screen hand in the space he pulling it regardless he ain’t always have that green light man tyes SMY was very much a role player when he first got drafted you know his first season he played 60 games only started in eight of them and was given just 15 minutes a game but did he complain nah he just stayed ready and when his name was called that that boy started hooping you feel me next season he averaged 17 after that he was 20 point per game scored now he averages 26 points per game going crazy and it’s being recognized as an Allstar so yeah I say that to say I can see a similar career objectory trajectory for Jared McCain if he’s given the opportunity and that’s another major thing it’s great that Jared McCain gets getting drafted into a place with opportunity you know 76ers they don’t got Crazy Guard depth what we talking about Cameron Payne Cal Lowry on the rank of retiring like he’s gonna get minutes off the bench for sure and that’s because he’s going to a place where they see his value Daryl Mor came out and said jayen McCain was a top 10 player on the Sixers draft board and that they even considered moving back but the value on McCain was just too high so they stuck with him this is a quote I’ll put it on the screen so yeah I say that to say it’s looking right man it’s looking good and I appreciate it cuz I love when my favorite college prospects get drafted into good scenarios in which they can really succeed I’m really hurt for Rob Dillingham right now the Spurs got the audacity to pump fake take him with the eighth pick then trade him to a team that literally does not need him he’s probably not going to get minutes for real on the damn timberwoods but that’s that’s a whole another video but yeah man with that being said I’m fixing to wrap this
