The NBA Will Regret Letting This Happen.

when the San Antonio Spurs took Bob Dillingham with the eighth overall pick I was excited mainly because Dillingham is a great guard to have next to Victor wanyama however his draft rights were traded to the Minnesota timber walls in exchange for a 20130 pick Swap and a 2031 first round pick so while the wemi Dilly dream is dead I am very excited about Dillingham being in Minnesota I think this is a great situation for him to be in and I’m very encouraged by what Minnesota can do with him in terms of his development in the short term and fit in the long term I think in a few years we will look back and wonder how would the NBA let Minnesota get a player that is as good as I think Dillingham can be but quickly before we go any further if you’re new and like basketball I’d really appreciate if you would like subscribe hit the notification B notified whenever I release a video I make videos about basketball all the time and liking and subscribing are the two best ways can help me on YouTube algorithm held support the channel and I’ll be reach my goal of 10,000 subscribers by the end of the year let’s try and get 100 likes on this video so YouTu recommended to others anyways let’s talk about Bob [Music] Dillingham a good place to start with Bob Dillingham in Minnesota is actually talking about what Bob Dillingham is as a prospect Dillingham was the most dynamic offensive talent in in this draft class he has one of the best handles I’ve ever seen in a prospect he’s quick and safy has really good speed and CH of Direction plays with very good Pace in terms of acceleration and deceleration his feel as a son Creator off the bouns is incredible he has great body control around the basket and while I wouldn’t say he’s an elite playmaker he did show a lot of signs that suggest he can be a point guard that runs the off offense to some extent in terms of having the handle and vision to be capable of it but what impressed me most was the fact that this is a guy who prior to college was a heavy on ball player who was really just allowed to do whatever he wanted to in terms of taking as many shots as he wanted to dribbling as much as he wanted to but he was able to adjust to playing off the ball at Kentucky it’s common to see really good Kentucky guards struggle a bit to to playing more off the ball tyes Maxi is a great example of that but Dillingham adjusted very well he was still efficient despite learning a new role which is why I believe it’s one of the most impressive adjustments I’ve seen a player make from high school to college he drived off the ball it never felt like he stalled the offense or was a black hole and that to be speaks to the kind of mindset he has as a player one that’s willing to sacrifice in order to win so already getting a dynamic off offensive talent that can play on and off the ball where playmaking upside is very good and I’ll talk more about it soon but I also think he’s a very good fit next to Anthony Edwards now Dillingham isn’t a perfect Prospect he’s really small at only 6’2 Andes and only around 165 lbs only has a 63 wingspan while he puts in the effort on defense I don’t really question his motor he naturally is just going to be at disadvantage and he does need to get stronger I think around 175 to 180 pounds would be ideal for him if he had a better frame he would have gone top five if he had a frame that we see guys like scoot Henderson Isaiah Kier or Emanuel moodier have when they were entering the league he would have been the number one pack regardless I trust NBA trainers to handle his strength and development well and I don’t think it takes away from how special of an offensive Talent he is one of the biggest Reasons I’m excited for Minnesota getting dingham is because he gets to be mentored by Mike Conley and there isn’t a better Mentor for a player like Dillingham than connley connley himself is a small guard and I think dillingham’s best outcome framewise is somewhat similar to what Conley is right now at 61 175 Dillingham has all the tools to be a great guard but having connley as a mentor increases those chances for me Connor is the definition of a consistent steady Fox solid forward General a guy that can run an offense make sure everyone is where they’re supposed to be and the ultimate Pro off the court I think connley can be a player that helps Dillingham unlock his playmaking potential the playmaking to me is the biggest swing Factor when it comes to Dillingham being a good player and a great player and while it’s not a guarantee having a guy who says battle tested impr Ming in his role while also being as consistent in his role for as long as Mike Conley has as a mentor for a talented young rookie guard could be what makes Dillingham the great player I think he can be I also think being around a winning culture at the gate is very valuable for Dillingham in no way am I saying he’s Jason Tatum or Jaylen Brown he’s not even remotely similar to either of them in any aspect but jayen and Jason were drafted to winning cultures they were drafted by a team that was making Conference Finals since the rookie seasons and I think being around that winning culture was very important for them seeing what winners put in to get to where they are seeing how teams who have bu aspirations operate since the moment they walked into the building as rookies and that to me is a big reason why those two developed into one of the if not the best duo in the NBA in an NBA champion Rob Dillingham is joining a Timber woles team that just had the best regular season in franchise history beat the defending champs in the playoffs in game seven on the road and made it to the Conference Finals so he’s going to be in a locker room with guys who have those aspirations guys who know what it takes to make a deep playoff run and being around an organization that clearly wants to win a title the moment he steps into that building yes he may sacrifice early production the same way Tatum and brown did but long term I think this will be beneficial and why he becomes a great NBA player so what will rob Dillingham look like early on I do think he gets minutes out the gate even with the defensive and frame concerns now it wouldn’t suck me if he’s a d guy early on I definitely think that’s a possibility but I also think they drafted him for a reason they invested the capital to move up and get him in the top 10 because he was in Need for this team right now they need a spark Park Off the Bench and having a dynamic offensive Talent like Dillingham is what they needed someone that can be a microwave scorer early on get points and bunches but also play well off the ball and get to play with the starters as well and somebody that is a at least now good player playmaker with potential to be a great one I see his rookie year being around 15 to 20 minutes per game around 8 to 11 points per game and around two to four assist per game with a low field goal percentage but decent to good three-point percentage which is common for young guards especially smaller ones in the NBA as rookies mainly because of the physicality in the defense on top of the fact that conle is just a better player right now I don’t see him getting big minutes 25 to 30 plus minutes I don’t really see that as a rookie I could be wrong but I do think conle is still a very good player right now and it doesn’t really matter I still think he’s going to have an impact as a rcky the way I see Minnesota handling Dillingham early on is honestly similar to how the Warriors handle Jordan and pool and we can say what we want about pool now especially after his disasterous season with the wizards but pool and golden state was a positive player for the most part and I think Dillingham has the upside to be a lot better than even the best version of pool he doesn’t have the frame that PA has he would have been a top three pick if he had P’s frame but I think he’s a much better playmaker with more upside than Paul had I think he’s a bit more versatile on and off the ball I think early on we see a microwave scorer with a bit more to his game than just being a one-dimensional scorer and I think he devolves into their long-term Starter by year three maybe year four but I would say probably around Midway through year two or definitely year3 and if Rob Dillingham reaches his potential he’s the perfect guard to have next to Anthony Edwards Edwards has grown as a playmaker but he’s never going to be Luca or Harden in that regard his value is as a scorer that isn’t onedimensional and uses playmaking as a leverage better than a focal point Gillingham is the perfect fit next to ant for a few reasons first he takes pressure off of Ant he’s another Dynamic offensive creator that teams have to worry about in theory he can be a guy that can set up the offense and that means that teams won’t be able to Simply focus on Anthony Edwards which will make his life easier second Dillingham has the versatility to thrive next to ant ant has unreal scoring gravity he’s big he’s strong he’s physical he’s Dynamic and that will lead to easier looks for Donham who has proven he can Thrive off the ball as well and he’s a really good tutor that can get open looks off ant drives he moves well without the basketball and he already can play off of others that aren’t as good as Anthony Edwards when he was at Kentucky so I don’t think he will have a problem with it in the NBA what ant needs next to him in a point guard is a guy who can take some of the pressure off of him be able to run the offense from time to time and be another threat and if Dillingham develops into the player I think he can we could be looking at the best backward in the NBA in a few years Rob dingham is a player I was very high on in this draft he was my number three pros effect on my big board I understood that he could fall a bit because of Team fed and some concerns about the frame but he landed in a great spot in Minnesota he gets to be around a winning culture which is rare for a top 10 pick at the game most top 10 peegs aren’t going to teams that win close to 60 games play in the Conference Finals and also beat the defending champs in the second round while having to play game seven on the road the previous season he gets to be around an amazing Mentor in Mike Conley who can help him become more of a for General and better playmaker help expand on his potential in that area to develop into the best possible version of himself and he’s a great fit next to the timber wols franchise player Anthony Edwards he can play on and off the ball which gives him lineup and B versatility I understand the concerns about the frame he’s really really small and he does need to add weight but I also don’t think you can ignore the dynamic ability he has on offense I don’t think you can ignore his ability to adapt to new roles and situations I don’t think you can ignore the potential he shows that suggest he can be more than just a one-dimensional offensive player I think the forward with Bob dingham is very high due to his Dynamic offensive scoring and his ability to play off the ball at worst he’s a microwave scorer that isn’t offensive black hole Off the Bench but I also think his ceiling is very high as well because of that same offensive ability that’s so Dynamic somebody that can be a great scorer and a good playmaker can play on off the ball be perfect next to a superstar be a legit number two or number three option on a contender an Allstar level player maybe even borderline all NBA if everything goes right I think Dillingham is going to be a great NBA player I think he’s somebody that shows all the signs of having the high forward to be a contributor and having the ceiling to be one of the best players on a really good team for a very long time and with how Minnesota was already trending around Anthony Edwards we may look back on this pck and wonder how the league let Minnesota get Rob Dillingham but that’s the end of this video If made to this point thank you so much again haven’t already like subscribe hit notification B notified whenever I release a video I make videos about basketball all the time and liking and subscribing are the two best ways can help me on the YouTube algorithm help support the channel and I’ll be reaching my goal to 10,000 subscribers by the end of the year let’s try and get 100 likes on this video so YouTu recommend it to others let me know what you think about Rob Dillingham do you think he was the right Peg do you like Minnesota trading for him who do you think should have gone at Peg 8 do you like his in Minnesota how good do you think he’s going to be as a rookie who are your favorite and least favorite picks of the first round in the 2024 NBA trft I’d love to hear all of that in the comment section down below but with that being said have a nice day and I’ll see you guys in the next one [Music]

When the San Antonio Spurs took Rob Dillingham 8th overall I was excited. Mainly because Dillingham is a great guard to have next Victor Wembanyama. So while the Wemby/Dilly duo dream is dead, I am excited about Dillingham being in Minnesota. I think it’s a great situation for him to be in. 2. I don’t think anyone knows how much dangerous wolves are now that they got Rob scoring that’s really gonna take a huge load off Karl and ant

  3. I think the Spurs get Trae Young somehow. That is why they passed on Rob. However I’m a big fan of Rob’s and he is certainly a special player.

  4. ANT needs KARL & GOBERT traded for Picks & Cap space, Thr Timberwolves SHOULD HAVE DRAFTED DANTÊ From #OREGON , the dude was a massive oversight and will be a contender for Rookie of the Year, 6th man , DPOY and ALL NBA in the coming seasons for Houston. Hes everything we WANTED from KAT and Gobert , but he actually HAS , vs a Sorry and Soft , massively overrated GOBERT eho was NOT THE DPOY , he just had the most Blocks on the NBAs highest rated Defensive Team , KAT is a soft, Zesty, Cake Eating Scrub, who unlike ANT is NOT A KILLER , NOT RELIABLE, Cost the Wolves the FINALS & may be one of the most UNAWARE & Non-Factor "DTARS" in the NBA. Both are insufferable to watch as a Wolves Junkie and Fan, and I cannot believe after this last Playoffs , that thr Timberwolves think Running it Back with KAT & GOBERT will work?

    Knock Knock…. Timberwolves ,
Is anyone HOME? WHAT DID YOU MISS THAT MADE YOU FEEL LIKE PAYING EITHER IS A GOOD INVESTMENT NOW?
THEY HAVE LITERALLY BROKEN THE BANK AND CAP FOR THE FORSEEABLE FUTURE … and WE KNOW WHO THEY ARE and they both aint "IT" and they both are MASSIVELY overpaid and ovwr valued . I do not want olayers who are not 2-way and who are EXTREMELY LOW BASKETBALL I.Q. & court or game awareness.

The very image of Gobert on Skates and KAT chucking up an INSUFFERABLE 3-32 heading into Game 4 , is everything you need to know about those 2 ,

So what they NEED is A KILLER IN THE PAINT not 2 MY LITTLE PONY , ZESTY RAINBOW CSRE BEARS in there doing NOTHING PRODUCTIVE. and then on top of it… You are putting BOTH ON THE PERIMETER TO DEFEND & RUN YOUR OFFENSE?

GET IN THE PAINT. DEFEND THE RIM.
LEAEN HOW TO PLAY FUNDAMENTAL HELPBDEFENSE AND CUTTING OFF THE LANES AND GET THE F@%$! IN FRONT OF SOMEONE WITH YOUR HANDS UP AND OUT OF THE COOKIE JAR

I absolutely HATE both of these players as people and "peofessional Basketball Stars", one STARTED THE COVID CRISIS AND SHUT DOWN by being a Moldy, over rated, Dry, FRENCH CROISSANT & then you have KAT who is a literal FAKE PERSON , who is a FIVA, NERD, AND LISPY, HIGH VOICED, ZERO MASCULINE TRAITS AND ZERO KILLER INSTINCT "ALL STAR" who has NEVER ESTABLISHED ANYTHING , with the exception that we know that JIMMY BUTLER TOLD US ALL WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT KAT & THIS CLASH OF CULTURES NOW when BUCKETS told thebworld EVERYTHING he framed it as the "Team" and Starters – which was WIGGINS (WHO IS SOFT AND HAD 1 GOOD YEAR AND DISSAPEARED) and KAT , who mirrored that, is not a Player you trust or know is going to kead – BECAUSE HE NEVER HAS.

Ehy now is it people think KAT is not KAT, JUST BECAUSE ANT IS THERE NOW?
KAT IS PUTTING ON HIS Clown Makeup again and trying to be a Chameleon and take on the whole vibe and Chsracter traits of ANT – which is fundamentally sociopathic A) and B) WE KNOW THE TRUTH , and I HAAAAAATE fake people ,

Fake People make this World a absolute trainwreck and is infuriating to deal with when you know WHO THEY ARE – WHILE THEY PRETEND TO BE SOMEONE ELSE !

Thr Timberwolves did not do enough to contend , they will lose 2nd round in the Playoffs next season , they will continue to sufder and will continue to waste ANTs now slow intro into his PRIME and HE WILL LEAVE if this continues !

Dillingham is excellent, I love it, but we need BODIES THAT INSTILLS FEAR IN THE PAIN AND AT THE RIM – its why they were slaughtered by Boston, SURE and Yes we do have a Man named NASTY NAS & 6TH MAN OF THE YEAR –

IMAGINE : NAZ & DANTE vs GOBERT & RUDY ; ?? EITH THE ENTIRE CAP SOACE OPEN FOR 2 ELITE ROLE PLAYERS AT FORWARD ( Shooter and Banger) OR 1 JUGGERNAUT AT FORWARD !?

    Instead….
They Did NOTHING TO IMPROVE ANYTHING POST THIS OFFSEASON WHEN YOU SHOULD HAVE LEARNED LESSONS IN DEFEAT – AND THE WOLVES GM AND OWNERS apparently were busy at the Buffet line ?

  5. Crazy how we expect a 6’1”-6’2” 19 year old to be like 180lb immediately. Like dude was just in highschool, he’s still developing physically

  6. As a Spurs fan, I really wanted Dillingham😭😭 like, I’m genuinely still in denial that he was traded. In my head I’m hoping the Spurs where like “ bro, we’re gonna get you back in a couple years for now we need you to go train under a legend; Conley for a bit as that’s the perfect storm with him aging & Minnesota needing fresh legs at that spot and we don’t have anybody to mentor you at that spot, Godspeed secret agent Rob” 😭😭 no disrespect to Jones though

  7. Naz Reid, Rob, Terrance, NAW coming off the bench is wild 😂😂😂😂😂 I can’t wait for next season

  8. He was the 8 pick in a weak draft😂y'all acting like he gonna be the number 2 n be a superstar😭

  9. Y'all r making him seem like he has Al or lurid talent😂nba team will run right to him,he is not a generational player,he was a 8 pick in a weak draft

  10. Best Isolation Player in College Basketball, Robs speed with Wemby would have been must watch NBA.

  11. Come on, it's an undersized, egocentric guard with 0 defense and questionable playmaking. It would be a miracle if he were able to transfer his game to the NBA.

  12. Spurs didn't pick Dillingham, Wolves did. Seems once Salaün was off the board, they weren't interested by anyone else so they traded the pick.
Dillingham was projected lower and lower over the last weeks, usually around 12-15, in a "weak draft". Maybe you should wonder why.

  13. Dude! Your channel is blowing up!!! I was here when you had like 500 subs. Congrats on putting out this A team content

  14. YAWWWN. For those who keep squawking about the Spurs trading Rob Dillingham in a WEAK draft class, for a future unprotected pick in 2031, and a protected pick in 2030, to a team who will not be good in those years, you clearly don’t understand the value of building a Championship Team for multiple decades like my Spurs do. The Spurs are a DYNASTY organization, not a “Two pump Chump” organization who is in a hurry to get to a SINGLE championship. We are building the future of the NBA.. and putting our sights on the 2025 Draft, the greatest draft since 2023, and the future drafts, when Victor Wembanyama is in his PRIME.

When’s the last time your team won Multiple Championships in a single decade like the Spurs? That’s what our franchise is creating. This selection at #4 combined with building our future is a brilliant strategy in a game of Chess. Checkmate NBA. Yeah, we robbed YOU Minnesota. Rob Dillingham will be an average to good player sure, and probably a great fit for Ant Man a few years.. but the Spurs front office is the smartest in the NBA, and we setting ourselves up for Decades of Dynasty success. Enjoy your couple years Minnesota. You won’t have franchise players who bring multiple championships to your town. Good luck. 👍

  15. Bro rob dillingham will 100% average 15-20 points a game one day maybe more dude is to quick he has a pretty good or great shot all he “needs” is some muscle no doubt this guy can dominate in the nba
