partner in crime where one of my partners in crime with me today talking on house basketball my boy Chris TI Mor 81 forever man if y’all know Chris uh Chris cut and drop man he tell it like it is just like me so we G to give y’all some quick facts so what we’re gonna do right quick we’re gonna talk about the Hawks we y’all can go back and look at my video about the number one pick in the draft uh Zachary ret and uh my thoughts on that and Chris I think he dropped the video as well about that so y’all go check it out on his channel uh but today we’re gonna talk about that second round pick a pick we got from the Miami Heat uh via trade out to trade AJ Griffin to Houston we got the 44th pick and we trade that with the Miami Heat to get up to 43 and uh we take this funny funny name dude from Serbia dude before we get into it uh we ain’t gonna be rude man tell the people what’s up Chris hey man how y’all doing man Chris more for A1 forever Sports and also I guess I have to say one4 now of the 95 North Sports Machine um as for the Zachary ret uh video I am going to be dropping one today um probably the same round the same time you see this it’s going to be should be the same day so be on the lookout for that man on A1 Fair of a sports platform and yeah the the name is funny uh I understand it’s going to take some time to get used to and now we was talking backstage and we was like man they sure ain’t making it easier for us content creators on these names and these guys that they taking because they making it bad yeah because even Zachary Rish it still it took a minute because I was calling him riss Archer so y’all know I slaughtered name like no other man yeah butanta Hawks they had to make some moves man and I’m glad they freed AJ Griffin man because I feel like he just fell out of favor in Atlanta with the new coach and Quinn Snider and because it just see like he just fell off a map so yeah trading with Houston I could not remember who the heck we traded him to earlier at all man I was like he got traded from where because I was gonna say Miami but I couldn’t remember Houston but yeah trading him to Houston getting the 44th overall and then trading that with Miami for this uh Nia Yik that’s what that’s what I’m that’s how it looks I actually uh I actually like that move for AJ Griffin to go to Houston he gets around a bunch of younger guy a bunch of young guys who understand his game who he can kind of relate to uh so I actually like the move and you know they lost uh was it uh who was uh guard that they lost um um um i j yeah Porter Jun Porter Jr yeah so yeah so it’s a fresh start and I think uh given time I think AJ would be pretty pretty excited player in the NBA and hey if he do it in Houston he’s he’s gonna do it somewhere because I just see talent in that kid but go ahead my bad no he’s only 20 years old is all I was gonna say is crazy he’s not even 21 until August so I mean he still has a bright future I already know previous injuries but he’s been pretty pretty much healthy you know I’m saying for the most of it from you know missing major injuries so I think he can still um have a fresh start in Houston again around a bunch of younger guys he’s gonna be down there with uh em adoka who’s probably going to get the best out of him and um you know he’s a shooter and he honestly was I could believe can turn into a shot Creator because he already was showing flashes of that in Atlanta so big shout out to AJ hey man go be great and for those that’s saying he wasn’t playing solid defense what what were y’all looking [Music] at because as I saw he played pretty solid defense on that Wing yeah y’all gota miss me with that one but uh let’s get into uh you gonna pronounce the name because I can’t pronounce so I I leave that to you oh man it’s uh like I said to me it looks like Nia yusik I think the D is Silent Video the guy you say what now I say every video that I’m yeah man every video that I’m seeing of the guy like there like this the the native language is being spoken so it it’s still tough to really hear how they’re pronouncing his name but from what I’m gathering it sounds like they’re saying yusik but I’mma we’re going to do we’re going to don’t worry we’re going to do more deep sea diving on thaty a lot of Silent ass letters in there I tell you that lot of silent letters yeah yeah it was a Nico Topic in the draft too so I guess Nicole is a popular name over there but let’s let’s look I didn’t do a lot of research on this guy I’m gonna be honest with y’all well not not research but let’s just say I didn’t do a lot of scouting on this guy uh so what we going to do we G to go to ESPN and see what they think and then we’ll get our thoughts that way and we gon to look at a trade that I think could come in help the Hawks right away we wanted a big man there’s a name out on the market we’ll give y’all that in a moment uh but right now let’s look at this uh this NBA draft thing man he’s 6729 pounds that they said so he’s another Wing guy so they get two Wing guys and they trade AJ Griffin who’s the wing guy I think DeAndre Hunter is going to be another guy that’s likely on the roster bubble uh not to make it uh so Garris Matthews is another one that’s uh a free agent they can bring him back on a oneyear deal on a uh vet minimum uh but they said the pre-draft NIS for him was he’s physically gifted scored in bunches late in the 2023 24 season to give himself momentum into the draft process and we all know the HW like score quen Snider loves defense but since they’re slacking in some areas on defense I think they’re going to still have to keep putting up a lot of points and um I think that that gets old quick keep be honest with y’all um you got to have defense and this is why uh I wanted HW to take a center because uh you need to protect that Rim Clint compell his old 22 million this year uh which I don’t think he’s worth um so you you got to find a way to get defense in there uh but tell me right quick uh off strength being able to score from the wing which I love because they still have bogey as well to score from the wing but tell me right quick uh how you feel about that well I know they have him listed as a shooting guard so that lets me know that he possibly can play the wing and well he play possibly can play two guard and three okay so that’s cool to me he looks like a project I mean I’ve I haven’t seen much of him I’ve probably only watched a couple of videos he has some potential but definitely a project even more so of a project than I would say ret is or anybody else early in this draft um I my thing is reason why I haven’t Dove all deep into him just yet is because I’m trying to figure out is this going to be a stash player or is he going to be a part of something that can possibly uh um be a return for the h something greater like I I don’t know if we’re going to keep him I don’t if he’s going to College Park or will he be used later on in some kind of scenario to get better yeah so it that’s my only thing because bringing in these players and you know bringing in these players like uh like Nia I’m looking at all right our roster already and I’m just like he has a lot of hurdles to climb even to get into you know some real playing time so you know I just gota wait see you say what if you look at his if you look at his size at 67210 uh it reminds you of a guy that just traded two years ago and Kevin H the um same exact size same skill set Uh Kevin did get better on the defensive in with time uh but coming out of college out of Maryland um this is exactly what he did he scored in bunches uh so they actually got another Kevin uh International Kevin herder type player so you right he could be a stash player that they could use down the road uh to to move uh one of those big contracts so yeah I mean that’s a great Point uh but go ahead no just saying yeah maybe that’s what I’m that’s kind of where I’m at like when I first just looked at the move I know we had to get rid of a player to basically get a player and everything but um I don’t know if he plays I just that’s my biggest question does will he play will we actually see him and State Farm Marena actually playing some for somewhere down the line I’m not too sure about that and you just traded AJ Griffin as well who was kind of the same height a little bit heavier he was about 225 yeah he the heavier player yeah but you yeah why it didn’t make sense yeah a little shorter but yeah they have AJ listed at 66 66 yeah yeah they have him listed as 66 and um like I said this guy 67209 he’s he’s really um just about the same weight of Risha and just shorter and they have Rish at like 69ine but I’m really thinking re say like 161 I don’t know if you he he gonna get close to seven feet because he just what 18 19 years old because he got about three more years yeah he got about two to three more years to even grow two three inches so he could be he could be another uh death of strength or somebody like that uh down the road so but uh weaknesses uh say with his wings span just the average field for the game he will face questions about defensive potential and will need to show more consistency with decision making and three-point shooting to car out of Niche at the next level so that lets you know if he’s inconsistent shooting he’s got a good little bit of development to do which means he probably will be in the G League this year if he does not go back over to Serbia and play so um he’s young but at the same time he still has a lot of developing to do and if he can go where he needs to go to get the proper development whether it’s College Park whether it’s back in to Serbia um do it so um what do you feel about these weaknesses right quick well well I mean when people say and and we all say it because I mean it’s a part of the game but when you just step outside of it it’s easy to say a young player needs to show more consistency every young player needs to show more consistency I mean even even the LeBron James coming out of high school he it was something he needed to show more consistency in so you know that’s pretty easy to say um as far as the three-point shooting of course on the internet the most things that I’m seeing I probably have to find actual game footage instead of like Clips because that’s the only thing I’ve been seeing Rel lately is clips and clips they’re going to show the best of what the person is doing so I I’m might have to find like an actual game film to see exactly if that three-point shooting um needs to be carved out a little bit more in the decision making but this is something to you know take in account um decision making is a big thing because I think Reet and um and pressure decision making I think he needs to work on that so that’s just yeah 19 he definitely do right that that that has it yeah that has to do with your clutch Gene nine times out of 10 and I don’t think he’s HED into that yet uh because to be honest some of these kids be fresh out of high school at 19 so um yeah he’s got a ways to go uh but it says the final verdict is after finding mixed results early in the year the Topic’s departure I don’t know why they they got topic uh departure open the door for urusi whatever his name is to take playmaking role for Mega basket where he excelled and played the best basketball of his career and winning in context his size athletic ability and scoring Talent is undeniable and his upside to grow into just a 20 year old so he’s just 20 years old himself yeah so yeah he can’t even drank a butt wise yet so they got they got a way I wouldn’t tell him to that anyway yeah that’s nasty uh but it said the post draft analysis this pick belongs to the Hawks after they traded with the heat round two on Thursday Hawks traded AJ Griffin I talked about that earlier to up to number 44 then trade to the heat move up one spot and select him tit scorer who could wind up being an international stash player and you talked about that intent on in picking up another selection and also save some money on their payroll by moving Griffin who became movable after the hwks haded number one pick Zachary ret that’s from Jeremy woo so shout out to Jeremy woo man for giving us that great uh great analysis man I love that so um you made a great Point man you picked it off before we even talked about it stash player so could we see him in the Atlanta HW uniform yes we can but for how long we just don’t know could be College par could be the Hawks uh but one thing about it uh he has offensive talent and we know that’s with the Hawks light um then bogy is another one that we talked about um he’s a guy that can score uh from the wing he can create his own shot catch and shoot um but his defense is questionable at times so uh he gave more effort last year yeah he did he he improved I agree with that so uh yeah that’s because he probably had that knee back you remember the previous season he he was kind of going through knee issues you need that KNE to play defense I’m telling you right right you gotta be able to cut gotta yeah lateral movement oh yeah but uh right quick man we gonna cook up a trade from y’all man there one guy out there that name who on Market yeah the pot yeah so we gonna do more than one what we do we’re gon to do a trade for one and then there’s another that’s going to be a free agent and we gonna let Chris give that one so let’s look at the trade machine and you can go to ESPN uh to the trade machine and pick your um let make sure I got this right ma there we go uh trade machine so what we gonna do uh we gonna add the two teams Haw first then the second team go right to the end and Utah is at the end you tall Jazz what you cooking up Smitty 10K hey man you know I got to do it man and there’s one name that y’all know in particular exactly where I’m going if y’all been following me and Chris the last three weeks Clint capella um I think that 22 million is a little bit expensive for the hulks uh so I think they’re going to try to find a trade partner for him and try to get off that contract and they may have to give up uh maybe future second or someone somewhere in that range y’all know they traded about five second round pitch for sad Bay so if they um do trade a second round picking probably gonna be when Jesus come back but um Clint capella has to be moved 22 million a year one name that came to mind to me was Walker Kesler uh who there reports that the Utah Jazz uh actually would be trying to move him uh mainly because they probably want to pay him uh and he’s had a solid first two years uh was third place in Rookie of the Year in his rookie season um he’s a seven foot one um Rim protecting fol uh if y’all watch him miss Ricky season he was pulling down rebounds uh left and right uh and that’s what the Hawks need man the Hawks need someone that can protect the rim block shots rebound and even though they do have that in compell capella it seems like last year he took a step back as far as being that solid Defender that we’ve known him and rebounding we known him to be uh so what I’m gonna do I’m gonna give y’all a quick trade um clct capella and I’m gonna give them k k Kobe buffkin show y’all why and I hate to do this and I hate to do this um I’m going to take um Walker K now trust me I want to take Lauren marketing but I think that contract is going to be a little bit too much for the HW uh where is he you’re right here I’m pointing like I can and here’s another guy keontay George who had a solid Ricky season he would replace buffkin he got more playing time and uh he averaged 13 points a game last year uh four assist I think it was so he had a very solid rookie season and I’m G soup it up just a little bit I’m gonna go Colin seon as another guard and Colin SE could be another trade piece and we gonna try this trade and see how it works out and it says it’s successful so if you can get off Clint Capella’s contract and you go out and get a seon who’s a veteran who can come in and run with the second unit and keontay George who can play the one or the two um he could be possibly trade bait but you the main car here would be Walker Kesler who I think could be a seven-footer that the Hawks need to protect the rim and um just get him a guy that that’s um in the middle Patrol the middle that’s uh still young uh Ste fresh and uh it’ll be just like we drafted a seven-footer because he’s still only what 20 21 years old so just think about that you would be getting a veteran at a rookie uh age and scale so U I would love that but what you think about that right quick I don’t want to get rid of Kobe that’s my only thing I don’t either but but you got to give them something they just drafted a guard as well but you still got to give them a guard in return we get hold on they’re get they’re they’re getting off um another one of the countries that they don’t want they don’t want John Collins uh they’re trying to trade cin SE trying to trade uh LA markting and they’re trying to trade Walker kler they’re just rebuilding so we take one of those contracts and they take one of our and they probably buy capella out and U everybody’s happy and we still get who we want and we can do we still have two more pieces outside of Walker ker we can include in the deal probably with DeAndre Hunter probably with another guy that we need to move off the books so that’s how I’m looking at it yeah yeah uh I oh Lord my goodness I’m just looking at I mean I want Walker kzla I mean well I want to get rid of Capella’s contract for sure oh Bo I just I think the most interesting thing is at the bottom is how we don’t get better and we don’t get worse we’re just still just right there you have no effect on the winning percentage at this time of the team I’m just like does that really does that even make us better though I’m like Colin seon so okay if you get take Colin seon you have to keep I feel like you gotta keep the uh um definitely have to keep DJ because you can’t be going small back courts we can’t be doing that and then with George I don’t know too much about George at all I ain’t gonna lie to you so anything that you say anything that you tell me about him you’re right right now because I don’t know anything about the kid disrespect he’s 6’4 so you getting back size so okay I mean Kobe Co Kobe not small either he’s 6’4 so I mean like that’s what I’m saying and then the thing about Kobe if you take a look at what he’s been looking like lately he’s getting in the gym and he was already a pretty good on ball Defender already so so he’s trying to get better I really expect the Hawks to expand his role I don’t I don’t expect them to trade him especially like in this particular situation like I would have rather would have seen maybe AJ Griffin but he’s gone now so you gotta give him something but I’m just like my goodness I don’t I I I want to see how if they have to make the trade then so be it but I really would like I said you s you you sacrific two first rounders that you’re giving away that’s my the biggest thing you just gave away a first rounder you know for somebody who’s not a first rounder respectfully and then you give away another first rounder for you know you know what I’m saying you see where I’m going it’s just like you’re giving away first rounder after first rounder and you’re technically really not getting the same equal value yeah I I mean I agree to a certain extent but like I said you still getting a something of need that is proven versus something that you will still have to develop that’s how I’m looking at it and if you don’t have to develop a walker Kesler you don’t really have to develop a keante George uh and you don’t have to develop Co K seon so I mean that’s he’s a former first round pick so if you look at he was a second I was asking which you talking about George or ston seon was a first round pick I’m trying to figure out I mean you got you got you got to give up something to get something and that’s how I’m looking at it but you say I’m saying he averaged 13 points as a rookie very solid uh rookie season so I mean he had more playing time than buffkin so uh I’m looking into that aspect as well so um I mean wasn’t just because he was in Utah and that’s why I mean he got the playing time I’m just got yeah yeah he had 27 minutes 13 points 39% from the field 33% from three couple rebounds be more consistent shooting yeah yeah so as I see it man I hate to get rid of buffkin as well but uh you got to give up something to get something but yeah and then this is the question too do they want to get rid of George after this production that they did get from him that’s something else you got to think about from on the that’s a great question that’s a great that’s a great question um I think they just drafted a guard and uh I think uh who who was the point guard seon was the start no he was on the bench who was the starter didn’t they have U what my man name who always want to fight uh Jordan Clarkson wasn’t he like a point guard or something yeah watch Utah at all except for the two times the Hawks played them that’s it I apologize you Faithful but I mean but this this is what I’m getting at this is what I’m getting at though um as I look at Walker Kesler man uh you look at it like you say his first two seasons like I say he finished third and rck of the Year voting uh he’s a shot blocker he’s a rebounder um he’s a rim protector 72% rookie season and then 65% last year so he’s money from inside and he did that in only 23 minutes so uh if you’re gonna go with double O you better have a backup play and that’s all I’m saying I think Walker kessle would be that well okay all right all right Walker Kesler now don’t get me wrong and he’s from Atlanta by the way they used to call him a Town Walker or something like that right I don’t know that’s what I heard that I didn’t make that up right but um it’s another player though man who probably would be just as cheap maybe cheaper you know I’m saying he’s dealt with some injuries but you don’t even have to make a trade necessarily for this particular player and I’m talking about Mr former first rounder and he’s a former first rounder as well I’m talking about Mr first pi huh was he your first overall pick or was he third yes was he number one or was he top three I believe he went number one hold on let me see no no I think he went second maybe hold on I’m about to find out right y yep first round second pick second overall in the 2020 draft NBA draft de December 22nd 22 2020 December 22nd 2020 he did he debuted and experienced three years talking about Mr James wisan forly of the Detroit Pistons yeah man forly of the Detroit Pistons you already know He dealt with some previous injuries again like I just said but his last year in Detroit wasn’t bad he was in a backup road but he still played the most games that he has in his the most he’s played in his career because um he started off with 45 he start then he had um 21 in Golden State then he got traded ended up with 24 in Detroit but last year 63 games and the man he started only six games so that let you know he was coming off the bench so he can come off the bench for us too 17 minutes in 17 minutes he still shot 61% from the field um had at least about five attempts per game uh converting on most of those he also shot uh 70% from the foul line you know that’s important for a big man something that unua does pretty good too shoot free throws something that Clint capella doesn’t do that well and he also James wisman does shoots better free throws than Kesler percentage wise the only thing I will say in kesler’s defense he played more minutes played more time started more games so I will give him in that defense because so in other words he had more minutes than wisan but 7.1 points per game he can probably come in man in a limited role be a rim protector um be somebody that can probably give you a few buckets I believe if he gets the rebound and goes back up I don’t think he’ll be missing bunnies like Clint capella and that’s the most important thing too I need somebody who’s going to get rebounds somebody who’s going to block shots Rim protect just affect the offens uh the offensive player as much as he possibly can and I believe wisman can come in in a limited role get him on a vet Min minimum contract tell him to go out there and prove himself and hey let’s see what what you get out of him and you won’t have to pay them that much man I think that’s the biggest thing um with Keesler ain’t no telling what Utah want and then even though we’re trying to give them buffkin and get George we don’t know if they want that we don’t know if they we just don’t know it just idea it just idea yeah oh no no no but it’s a good idea now because I want a seven footer I want a seven I want to need some some front Court help and I want you know saying to get bigger in the front court because bro we are six10 and down we don’t even have any seven Footers exactly you know what I’m saying like go look it up you know you can look at these people hype we have exctly why we came up with it this is exactly why we came up with this trade idea to get to possibly get a seven-footer one in Al Walker Kesler one in James wisman both are veterans both if they want to roll with double O as the starter they will have a reliable backup that’s veteran somebody they don’t really have to develop and that is where I’m coming from with Walker kler that’s where tip is coming from um with James wman two young guys uh Kesley is what almost 21 and Wiman is what 23 so um young they still young so that’s two two guys I think come wisman will be 24 March 31st so he’ll be he’ll basically be 2 and three the entire season basically y I’m saying so now you have it but uh if you got anything you want to say before we get out of here man this has been another great uh tag team video about the Atlanta Hawks and before we get out of new players they can’t sign until um next Saturday though which will be July the 6 so I’m interested to see what we do the draft is over I’m so happy the draft is over we got R Shay we freed AJ and we got a player in return possibly a stash possibly a dash we’ll see but I’m just happy that it’s here and I really want these guys to make some moves we got to get off of some of these contracts and we got to bring in some value man some value and we may have to go cheap so Walker Keesler they want to get rid of him I say we try to go get him if we can stay you know say reasonable and then you got James wisman that you don’t even have to trade for yes he’s had some injuries but at the same time you need your seven-footer you need your a big man and somebody who’s still young that you possibly can see what you can do with them so salute to you for even coming up with the idea of this video and um you know just guys that we can possibly just talk about we’re gonna have to do something for
