This Situation is INSANE… Newest Toronto Raptor Trying to BOLT | Raptors News
there’s an absolutely insane story developing right now regarding newly acquired big man Sasha vvovv who is formerly a Euroleague MVP and apparently he’s trying to bolt the Toronto Raptors to go back to Europe after recently being acquired by MSU Jerry and the team and this is serious implications in the Raptor’s flexibility during free agents ability to bring back guys like Gary Trent Jr and the future of this Toronto Raptor’s roster because Sasha is a guy that seems like an intriguing piece for the Toronto Raptors if he’s going to stay on this side of the pond so we’re going to break all down the latest cuz frankly there are conflicting reports going on right now from credible sources all around regarding whether or not he’s going to stay whether or not he’s going to leave if he’s trying to force his way out all this type of stuff so we’re going to break down all of the latest developments but before we do folks again if you’re trying to stay up to dat with everything regarding this Toronto Raptors team you’re part of the 51% that hasn’t subscribed just yet make sure you guys hit that subscribe button so you don’t miss a single thing this off seon and means the world to me but let’s dive into just The Madness of what’s been going on because again a couple days ago you know I reacted to it live the Trona Raptors made a trade bringing in you know with the Sacramento Kings bringing in sash is neov Davon Mitchell the 45th overall pick in this year’s NBA draft as well as Portland’s 2025 second rounder which is going to be very very valuable in the same way that the Detroit Pistons pick was this season as the Portland Trailblazers project to be really bad next season so that trade happened and Sasha’s a guy it’s a very interesting player brought back in the steel now even when that uh trade initially went out there was speculation that Sasha was trying to get back to Europe he wasn’t happy with the specific year with the Sacramento Kings and I even speculated my initial reaction that you know because I saw all the stuff coming out from Sacramento and said hey will he stay will he go maybe there’s an agreement by MSI to say we’ll let you walk we’ll let you leave well there’s conflicting reports onto that because the first thing that came out in that regard came from Sports Nando sportando who’s a big European basketball follower credible on those lines but essentially zenov has reportedly decided to return to Europe by signing a multi-year deal with Olympiacos over there in Europe basically back overseas so that’s something that came out and I was like oh you know that kind of sucks because he’s an interesting player especially 69 even though he’s older you know doesn’t fit the Raptor timeline not old and wash by any means but only averaged Five Points 2.3 rebounds did shoot 38% from behind the three-point line and shot 43% on Corner three so you put him in a lineup with Scotty barns RJ Barrett able to kick the all out to him he’s a player that I think could be very very intriguing especially with the impact that he had uh you know when he had more of a a role in the actual offense more than he did last year with the Sacramento Kings so I said hey a guy that has this sort of basketball backing that’s a big by low opportunity he’s on a very reasonable contract 6 million annually you know for the next couple Seasons so definitely a dude that made sense with the Toronto Raptors to bring in take a flyer on and see if he can actually have an impact because if he does you know couple years down the line when the rap are really trying to be in the mix once again you know turn around this rebuild maybe he’ll be sooner than we even expected he can have an impact on the team or we could flip them for more assets we can flip them for stuff and if it doesn’t work out it doesn’t work out we’re not really you know do or die all in on this season in the same way the sacker renom Kings might be going into next year so Sasha nice pickup I was excited but then this report came out oh he’s gone and this stuff and that stuff but Michael Grange came out today and essentially shut those reports down coming out and saying that so according to those uh those position to know those in the position to know reports that Sasha venkov is leaving the NBA to play in Greece are not true the former King has one year left on his NBA deal and the Raptors control his rights and have no intention of waving him and expect to have him in trading Camp carry on so again people bring up Michael gr’s credibility he gets draft picks wrong he’s gotten some trade stuff wrong in the past all this type of stuff and swando is a pretty credible reliable source in regards to you know especially European prospects European players so I’ve seen people go back and forth on this but frankly I trust Michael gra on this one this man has direct insights in terms of messou Jerry’s you know front line I think when Michael Grange gets something wrong it’s because Messi Jerry’s trying to change the narrative trying to adjust things out there in the media I’ve had that stance the last couple years that’s why I keep sourcing gr and bringing them up when these discussions actually happen so Michael gra is coming out and discussing this regarding Sasha and is essentially shutting all that stuff down MSU Jerry is not letting this guy walk for nothing because again he’s an interesting piece he’s an interesting player and the Raptors right now are not in a position to let assets just go out willy-nilly be doing new guys a favor all that type of stuff we need to maximize on all the trades all the momentum all the roster spots that we have and Sasha venka is a guy that definitely has a higher upside and could actually have a role on this Toronto Raptors team for next season but will he leave will he not again we don’t really know because this is a very credible Source over in Europe and it kind of made sense when that report did come out about him leaving because if his money comes off the books the Raptors could have room for a mid-level exception signing under the tax it’s probably not enough for Gary Trent Jr though maybe depending on Emanuel quickley structure and how they sign their second rounders uh it’s definitely just one or the other still but Daniel that’s coming from Daniel haet a guy that’s on Twitter a ton discussing Toronto Raptors cap breakdowns and all that but basically you know if we let him walk if we let him go for nothing there’s been a lot of discussions about the Toronto Raptor current cap situation in the short term because we just picked up Bruce Brown’s uh Team option which is going to net us around $23 million for next season into the Toronto Raptors cap we just gave Emanuel quickley roughly $35 million per year Scotty Barn just signed a massive deal out there in the future and the Raptors just given how we ended off last season there’s no hiding it we weren’t that great we ended up tanking the end of the year it just doesn’t really make sense for this team to be a tax team right now given all the restrictions how would handcuffs your roster building you know uh abilities moving forward into the future so essentially the Toronto Raptors being a tax team right now and trying to bring back the star boy Gary Trent Jr which we’re really not sure we’ve seen that he’s projected to probably make between 17 and20 million going into next season and right now that’s going to be tough for the Toronto Raptors to bring back stay underneath the cap especially if we want to use Pascal yam’s $10 million trade player exception you know for next for this off season because being able to bring in that money allows you to attach different assets and as we saw with this specific trade with the Kings we got two very very valuable you know second rounders there’s you know we got Jamal shed with uh with that 45th overall pick and the Blazer second which is very very exciting draft pick the same way the Pistons was for the season Blazers pick in 2025 is going to be valuable so having all of that cap space you know the Raptors in a retool in a rebuild it’s not essential to have all that money in Scotty books Barnes extension isn’t on the the books till the season following I mean we have to take advantage of this opportunity to get things right with the players that we have and things that are ongoing right now and again we can take a look at the rest of the roster we still have perto we still have guys Mobility whether the zenov is on the roster or not to stay under that tax to make things happen but it’s uh it’s easier if he leaves but again it’s losing an asset it’s losing a guy that you’re taking a flyer on that could provide some value and then just let him go for nothing but gr is essentially saying that the Raptors in the front office Throwing Shade on the European reporters that those in the know are saying that Sasha has to play he has to honor his contract if he wants that bread if he wants that uh stuff going on there right now the Raptors control his rights and he’s not going to be able to leave so despite the fact he was a European MVP despite the fact he didn’t have the greatest sort of stint in the NBA for his you know first season over here overseas he uh doesn’t get to bolt according to Michael gra just then but we’ll see if he ends up trying to Force his way out tried to force his way back to Europe if things don’t work out along those lines again an absolutely insane crazy situation going on right now but let me know what you guys think in the comments section down below you guys the best M of the star subscribe to the channel if you guys haven’t already I’m signing out cheers

Damn…
He already to Sac that he was going to go back. So it's not a surprise to the raptors. That's prob how they for the 2 2nd rounders.
Not interested in Euros who think they're better than us. Let him go, we've got Mitchell and the pick, he was just side dressing, I'll miss him like I miss Dragic and a hole in the head.
if he keeps BS, than just go away, we don't need another dragic 😂
Bro, he's not trying to bolt the Raptors, he was trying to bolt his former situation, I'm sure now that he is with this organization, who happens to have a European head coach, he will be more than okay with staying with our club, your news is a little old homie.
Everyone saw this coming lol. Not news
They knew and we did, that this was a possibility. Nothing crazy here.
Don't believe the hype… he's most likely staying. He didn't like his role in SacTown. Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic believes Sasha Vezenkov could be a rotation player and help the team. He's a perfect fit for Darko's offense.
Let him go. He's 28. It's not like he's going to be getting any better at this point lol
They got Davion Mitchell and a couple picks for the useless Jalen McDaniels. I don't care if this guy walks for nothing. It's still a great trade
If he is under contract then unless he retires he has to report to the team …then i think there is a cba rule that he couldn't just un retire and sign with another team for at least a season …but this is a bit ridiculous that he wont show up
He won't leave.. Darko is the reason they traded for him.
Forcing a guy to stay when he wants out could hurt team morale and chemistry.
Hopefully, he's willing to give it a shot with the Raptors.
No he said all of this to get out of the kings. He said if he wasn’t traded somewhere else where he gets more playing time then he would go back over seas. He knows Darko. He’s not going over seas. He’s a raptor and will stay as long as he plays
Remember when we blew up that championship team because we didn't want go into the tax without Kawhi? Good times!
Michael Grange knows Raptors intentions?
Andrew Wiggins may be one step closer to Toronto in a trade centered around Bruce Brown. As per Woj: Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George is declining his $48.7M option and entering free agency, sources tell ESPN. He’s planning to set meetings with cap space teams and the Clippers beginning Sunday night. An opt-in/trade scenario is now gone.
If Shasha doesn't want to play in the NBA and Raptors, no loss to T.O. It's probably the reason why he was thrown in the trade for virtually nothing anyways
The Raptors must lead the league in having the most meaningless players under contract. Except for Scottie Barnes, the rest of basically other teams rejects.
I'm actually hearing the exact opposite about Sasha. I heard he wants to stick around for another season in the NBA and he's intent on playing with the Raptors IF they give him minutes. The only reason he'll go back to the Euros will be if we don't play him which is possible.
