[McMenamin] Rich Paul of Klutch Sports told ESPN that LeBron James has officially opted out with L.A. and will work with LAL on his next deal if it means adding an impact player: “He is prioritizing a roster improvement. He’s been adamant about exuding all efforts to improve the roster.”

  1. YES!!!!!!! BRON IS HIM!!! Championship on the way, F the celtics

  2. brazyace43

Lakers fans still want to hate on bron. He’s helping out so much. Go improve this roster rob. Make some trades

  3. Hot_Pie1464

Guys, i’m starting to think Bron wants to win🤔

  4. Proof-Umpire-7718

Lebron’s a legend for doing this. Welcome to the Lakers Klay or Demar.

  5. Klaxosaur

This is confirmation pretty much lmao. Crazy. Went from doomers saying Bron is leaving to Rich Paul saying Bron wants a pay cut so Lakers can get an impact player via MLE.

  6. LoveTheHustleBud

That’s great. Should be able to land an actual impact player

Also means lebron is going to directly yay/nay whoever the MLE signing is. Which means he indirectly will yay/nay any trade to open the roster spot for the MLE signing. Cant make a move expecting him to take the paycut without him saying “yes, I’d take a paycut for THAT roster”.

  7. GoalPublic3579

Bron doing more to improve the roster than the bum GM being paid millions a year to do it ffs

  8. Yea now if any of our fans say we want Lebron gone because he doesn’t care about winning and he is just using our team to get whatever he wants and that’s it.. they should just stop watching and leave.

  9. Well rob better get to work there’s currently no space to sign anyone.

  10. brazyace43

Would Klay not steal all of Christie and Knechts minutes?

This is why drafting Bronny was a no-brainer given the situation. Making LeBron happy, which ensures he stays and even takes a pay cut by drafting Bronny, is so much more valuable than the normal value of the 55th pick.

It would be funny if one of the guys drafted afterwards turns out to be a star lol.

Don’t want to see anyone else on LeBron now…

  13. brazyace43

Reddish Hayes and Lewis for a cheap centre to clear roster space

  14. Do your work Rob – fucking do something. Lebron and AD deserves it.

  15. CabbageStockExchange

Man LeBron has never shown this level of faith in any other team. Wonder why he trusts Rob and co so much compared to the rest

Regardless let’s go. I hope we can get someone good and then manage a trade to upgrade from dlo

  16. Musa_2050

LFG. Behind the scenes, I could see the Lakers taking care of him. He signs a 3-year deal for $35M per season. Opts out of the 3rd season, and they pay him $60M+ for his retirement season.

  17. winter-r0se

yes if rob is able to find a worthwhile player & deal then bron is willing to take 16M paycut – if there’s no deal out there then he’ll take his max 🤞🏾

  18. Wise_Ad_112

I TOLD YALL, where those ppl at now saying he ain’t taking a paycut

  19. christianANDshantel

You know who has a great LA contract? Ohtani. Maybe deferred could work?

  20. brondagoat236

Dawg. My main concern is the FOs incompetency, tickets will sell even if they win or lose.

  21. thehanssassin

Bout PG? Too expensive? Or trade Dlo for a two way guard.

This will be crazy off season for us.

  22. goatnxtinline

Bro…. he’s actually taking a pay cut to help the team. Given this will be his last contracts of his career, which is no small gesture. I said this in another comment but who would have though that the Lakers would end up playing such a huge role in his career? Cleveland of course, it’s his home town. Miami was for chasing rings. But the biggest impact to the game of basketball came while wearing the purple and gold where he broke records, won championships and made history.

Feel so blessed this dude decided to come to LA all those years ago
