If he ends up signing for the Sixers I hope this is a wink-wink to avoid any potential tampering charges.

I still think he’s just trying to use us as leverage. Seems like PG is daring the Clips to lowball him, and the Clips are daring him to move to Philadelphia. We’ll see who blinks, I guess.

If he ends up on the Magic we just gotta laugh. Could not blame him.

The best deal they could offer from his perspective is a 3 + 1 (player option) with a trade kicker. Not sure how much negotiation is needed, think Daryl puts that on the table at 6:01 pm tomorrow.

Buckle up, cunts. The crescendo is as close as it’s ever been…

If he actually holds up our FA before he eventually slinks back to the Clippers…

If he goes to Orlando for the same amount of money we offer (a max) than this franchise is officially cooked.

The fit both in terms of personnel and timeline feels a little weird with the Magic, no?
asbestosman2
Orlando seems like the best option for him if he doesn’t care about winning a title (even then, they still should have a decent shot at some point within the next 4 years). Nice place to live, no expectations, and they’ll probably offer him the max. Also it would be pretty funny because ESPN has basically been trying to avoid talking about them during this whole saga.
JoeEmbid
They’re saying late night pacific time so that means he’s not even gonna be in conversation until multiple hours after free agency is open. If he doesn’t end up coming here we’ll have missed out on a good amount of guys by then.
HoagieTwoFace
If he signs with Orlando, we should call them about Wagner
Sheriff_Gotcha
I guess we know why Morey was flying to LA yesterday, or whenever it was that guy posted here he saw him at the airport.

This is what we should tell PG tomorrow at 6:01 PM:
“Here is a 3+1 max contract. You have 10 minutes to make your decision”
We have to act quickly, otherwise, I fear we are going to lose our plan B or even C

If he signs with the Magic there have to be some uncomfortable conversations about our future

I find the wording of these tweets saying he plans to speak with the Clippers strange. He has been free to speak with the Clippers all offseason. It’s just the Magic and Sixers that he hasn’t been allowed to speak with.
FatBottomGurley
I think Clips are content in letting him go…I do not expect them to budge or I’m assuming they would have just already signed him..
Him not wanting to play here is a different story, if it’s only about the money then I think he ends up here…if he doesn’t want to leave LA I think he’s gonna have to settle for less.
What will he do?

ghost of tobias harris will haunt philadelphia forever if we max this man, and i’ve always loved paul george’s game

No thanks.

I think the Clippers kinda want to keep him but aren’t 100% sold. George wants to stay in LA but his ego is hurt. Think this drags out with him eventually staying in LA.
mac_rmm
I think we all know what will happen.
1). He takes his time which means while the Sixers wait, guys like DDR and KCP get signed by other teams.
2). Finally he decides to either take less to stay in LA or goes to Orlando – no taxes, better weather, less stressful city with no real expectations.
3). Sixers give Tobias Harris and Kelly Oubre $20 mill each and run the same group back, losing in the first round.

He’s coming here. Playing with Joel and Maxey is basketball orgasmitronics. He’s a baller at the end of the day

Hell no. Might as well overpaid Harden
