The cap should just grant an effective exception increase for bird rights signed early because having to wait purely for cap reasons is kind of dumb.

Let’s say we traded for Lauri and that is the only trade we make, can we renegotiate/extend BOTH Caruso and Lauri with our cap space in 6 months after the trade? Is resigning Joe and Wiggin hinder atleast Lauri’s renegotiation/extension? Is resigning Joe and Wiggins to a contract do not count on cap space and we can go beyond cap space because we signed them with our bird rights?
