Memphis Grizzlies do not pick up Luke Kennard’s team option, Kennard a NBA free agent (for now)
Luke Canard is no longer a Memphis Grizzly at least for the time being Memphis has opted out of their team option for the coming season that means Canard for the moment can be a free agent and speak with whoever he so chooses I’m Joe MX have locked on Grizzlies and I’m not going to act like I’m not surprised this is mildly surprising both myself and my co-host to Michael Cole Memphis Grizzlies beat Ryder covering that Organization for the Commercial Appeal there in Memphis we both agreed at the end of our Friday show that Luke is going to be sticking around and I want to stress that that still may be the case Luke Canard could sign for longer years he could sign for less money he could sign a descending deal that’s more Team friendly it’s hard to believe that the Memphis Grizzlies are just going to let one of the best three-point Shooters in the league walk considering how much Memphis needs three-point shooting but that doesn’t change the fact that at least for now Luke Canard is on the free agency block

I believe Luke will get a new contract with the Grizzlies for more years and less money per year.
Woj reported both sides want a new deal.. I expect him back.
It’s all about bang for the buck. We all love he’s an excellent 3 point shooter on a team lacking 3 point shooting. However, his other deficiencies make keeping him around at 14.7 million dollars unlikely. People always want to focus on either the positives or the failures of a player, but GMs have to consider financial as well.
They bring him back….just need a team friendly deal
Really would like him to resign. I never really got to see a Luke game where he went absolutely nuts.
Doesn’t this just give us major leeway and put us like 15 million under apron?
It seems like all the teams are temporarily putting themselves under the aprons, making huge deals, then going way over the apron.
Then they will sign him back on. Now aren’t they eligible for the full mle? Can’t they use the mle on Luke?
