Apparently Kuminga was offered for PG

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5604503/2024/06/29/warriors-paul-george-klay-thompson-kawakami/

It seems like the Clippers FO was the one playing hard to get this trade done. Since I think L.Frank is just a puppy for Ballmer and happy to keep his job while being incompetent at it, I'm afraid we might've been hit hard with the Owner's syndrome on this one.

Kuminga + 1st.

Kuminga + Moody.

I think you have to take those. Given the the situation with Clippers' future passing up on those (if they were offered) is a huge miss-step.

PG would have had to opted into his final year of his contract for this to happen

Lmao imagine giving up Shai & all the picks for PG and not giving him his 4th year.

Now being so stubborn not taking young players in Kuminga & Moody & letting him walk..what a FO lmaooo

If that’s true holy crap what negligence. You do kuminga and the first and don’t think twice.

  4. InformalExplorer369

If that’s the case, that means they’re confident they’ll get PG back. But damn, what a gamble.

Lawrence Frank has a mental disability.

This FO has shown far too much incompetence over the entire Kawhi/PG era and definitely needs to go.

  7. This was from a GSW source, the person who actually provided the source claimed that it was something the warriors may be promoting to create the perception that they tried everything …

I’m so over this Kawhi PG experiment, we’re a joke

    heres the snippet

    > Any possible PG13 trade between the Warriors and Clippers was always going to be complicated, but Warriors executives thought they’d solved the puzzle. From what I’ve heard, some combination (but definitely not all) of Wiggins, CP3, Jonathan Kuminga or Moses Moody plus one future first-round pick were put into discussions with the Clippers.

    > There were versions that would’ve limited the Clippers’ long-term money liability; there were versions that would’ve increased the future benefits. I’m told the Warriors likely would not have put Wiggins and Kuminga together into any offer, but also that it never got that far, anyway. If that’s what would’ve closed the deal … who knows.

Fuck! Why do they possibly think losing him for nothing is better than this??

This new 4 year deal will likely be Paul George’s final NBA contract (he’ll be 39 when it’s up). He tried to help the team with a sign and trade to Golden State to get players back for him but the front office didn’t want to do it.

He has no incentive to help them now at all with a sign and trade now, and the fact he opted out means he’s walking for sure. I’m not sure what exactly the front office gambled on but they lost and he is gone for nothing.

Perhaps they were of the mindset that if he was leaving regardless of what they offered, they wouldn’t make it easy for him to stay on the same conference so they didn’t do the sign and trade to GS to spite him.

I’m not a Lawrence Frank fan, but this is what the article says specifically… Use of the words “some combination” and “or” leaves a lot of room. Can easily translate to Wiggins, CP3, and a pick.

I hate this stupid fucking team.

I really can’t help but laugh at this sub turning Kuminga into a future all star

Sending PG13 for that deal basically makes Dubs better than Clippers. They shouldn’t trade him to the Dubs unless it’s a wings + picks haul
