Atlanta Hawks Trade For EJ Liddell My Thoughts!!

yo what’s going on guys this Houston Sports Talk Back another video today and today the Atlanta Hawks are trading for EJ Liddell EJ lell who was a rookie this past season with the New Orleans Pelicans and only played eight games in the regular season with three minutes per game didn’t do that well when playing with the team um wasn’t terrible it was he just didn’t play much I mean uh you know he eight games three minutes per game only took one field goal attempt per game but shot 177% uh he averaged a half a point per game one rebound per game and a half a steel per game with the Pelicans now to be fair I wanted to I wanted to go over his g-league stats of course EJ Liddell is a part of this Deonte Murray trade he is heading over uh with Larry n Jr and Dyson Daniels in these draft picks to Atlanta funny enough I watched some highlights of EJ Le and uh one of the only you know you know big highlights that he has in the NBA is against the Atlanta Hawks in a preseason game dropping 10 points on them but I want to go over his g-league stats because he really made an impact in the in the G League uh for for you know Atlanta or sorry for New Orleans g-league team he’s 23 years old want to mention that uh 26 games played with 18 starts in the G League he averaged 26.5 minutes per game with 18 points per game game his field goal percentage being over 50% at 50.4 uh not a great three-point shooter only shot 27% you know shooting 4.4 attempts per game his free throw percentage was 80% he averaged eight rebounds per game he averaged two assists per game he averaged two blocks per game and over a half a steel per game at 0.6 so he’s really good defensively keep in mind EJ Liddell is 67 in a powerful forward so uh you know obviously not a great shooter at 27% from three but uh just that’s really the only weakness of his game if you look at you know what he did in the G league so he even had a 35o performance in the G League which was a career high for him um you know he he was great in the g- league the only PR you look at I think the only weak you can look at him in his game and like I think one of the only weaknesses you could find is um you know being a terrible shooter um and not a great free throw shooter as well um but at the same time he’s a great rebounder he’s a great shot blocker he’s a great defender um and he’s a decent scorer he’s a decent for someone who can’t shoot the ball he’s a good scorer averaging 18 points per game when you’re shooting under 30% from three that’s not bad um but let me know your thoughts on the trade for the Atlanta Hawks the the you know the big the more big pitcher them getting the draft picks and then getting Dyson Daniels and Larry n Jr or them I’m giving up Deon Murray this is not this is the little part of the trade this this part does not really matter much you know in the trade but want to go over every aspect of the deal and this this this part of the deal wasn’t really announced until later this deal went down around 6:00 and I don’t think it wasn’t I don’t think it was until 7:30 when it was announced that Liddell was a part of the trade let me know your thoughts in the comment section and peace out
