Tristan D Silva out of Colorado with the 18th pick in the 2024 NBA draft he’s 68 69 610 whatever you want to call him I’ve seen his height all over the place here it says 68 200 lb he averaged 40 39.5% from three 83.5% free throw percentage 49.3% field goal percentage 16 points per game this past season out of Colorado he’s from Germany just like fron and mo vagna the Vagner boys I think he’s going to be a great addition to the magic I think the writings on the wall as far as chuma okk I think he’s gone to just only so many minutes to go around he barely played and now with the Silva getting drafted in the first round I think he’s taken over especially jet we still have jet Howard who could see some playing time this upcoming season the good thing is the Silva and Jet Howard both can shoot the magic one of the worst shooting teams been like that for a long time the magic prioritize size over anything else size defense which I mean those are two good things to have on your team but at the end of the day like like at some point you’re going to have to address the shooting thing but ideal situation is Houston jet Howard and uh the Silva can just shoot lights out they still have a second round pick later today do I think they’re going to use it uh I think they’re probably going to trade it but I could be wrong you never know the interesting thing with this season is the rumors that keeps cuz the magic have a lot of money going into free agency free agency starts this Sunday the majority of the rumors around the magic are playl Thompson contav is called will pulp seems like they’re going for a two guard who could shoot to help spread the floor and again address the shooting the thing about that is if you do sign one of those players first of all you’re going to have to overpay a little bit second of all are you expecting them to start if so is Jaylen Suggs your starting point guard I don’t know how people feel about this let me know in the comments I do not like the idea of jayen sugs being a starting point guard I like him at shooting guard I don’t want a situ situation where Suggs is bringing up the ball setting up the play I don’t want a situation where frons or Paulo are playing point forward setting up the play I like the idea of a legit point guard I know marel I don’t think he’s coming back but you never know what the magic they’re all about continuity he’s an unrestricted free agent along with Gary Harris uh chuma ok’s contract ends Goa baz contract and but anyways going back to the point guard situation it’s just the magic need need a ball handler someone who can be the quarterback of the team set up the play doesn’t necessarily have to be scoring a bunch of points shooting would be a plus Someone Like A tius Jones Trey young cost way too much money but if they did go after Trey young I wouldn’t be mad at it depending on who you have to give up but you see what I’m saying you see where I’m going with it somewhere along those lines doesn’t turn over the ball crazy three-point shooter just you know if you have fron right here Paulo right there uh they’re getting double team whatever the case is a point guard who can be like hm I’m shooting boom or they could be like oh you thought I was going to shoot a three Aly whatever Back Door whatever we need a quarterback on this team Jaylen Suggs I mean dang set myself up with that one he was a quarterback in high school and all that stuff but anyways they need a legit point guard who can set up the play Shoot the ball I would prefer Suggs at the two if you do not address the point situation I’m assuming they put Anthony black to start at the one and then Off the Bench I’m assuming Cole Anthony would be the point guard my ideal situation would be Anthony black let him develop Off the Bench let him be the point guard Off the Bench put Cole Anthony at the two and then you could sign someone like a kcp at the three not sure how it’s going to work defensively but you got Jonathan Isaac the backup center position is still Mo Vagner not sure if they plan on upgrading that or if they want to spend the money on a hartenstein have him start and have Wendell come off the bench there’s a lot of different ways they can go with this but if they do plan on signing kcp or Klay Thompson might fear is that one of them plays the two and Suggs ends up being the starting point guard I just don’t want that to happen but you never know what the magic Could Happen um just a lot of money to spend they’re going to have to extend suggs’s contract they’re going to have to extend frs’s contract I’m pretty sure they’re going to get that out the way after this whole draft thing is over free agency is going to be the biggest thing there was an interview with Anthony Parker GM of the magic and he stated that you know trade the trade market is the new free agency I’m paraphrasing I don’t know exactly word for word what he said but he said something along those lines which makes me think that they have a couple players in mind that aren’t necessarily free agents right now but are in trade rumors maybe calls have been made do not be surprised if a trade goes down and the salary is used on a player via trade rather than free agency I’m hoping it’s a point guard like I said I won Jaylen sugs at the two I’m happy with the rest of the starting lineup bronze Paulo Wendell sugs at the two insert point guard here pause and then Off the Bench you got Anthony black Co Anthony Joe Eng Les is there I would like to upgrade from Joe Engles if that could be possible I guess you could put kcp if you sign him free agency Off the Bench next to Cole Anthony but then you also got the Silva and you got Jed Howard so it’s like I don’t know how they want to go about that you can put the Silva at the four and put uh Isaac at the five not sure how that’s going to work just a lot of question marks I’m not expecting the Silva to get a bunch of playing time if Engles stays then it’ll be uh Eng Les at the three Isaac at the four Mo Vagner at the five Jed Howard and the Silva probably be playing Oola Magic Basketball a lot of question marks I don’t think the magic should sign Klay Thompson I think they should sign kcp trade for a point guard or sign tus Jones one or the other sign a point guard starting point guard sign someone like a kcp extend France extend Jaylen call it a day Let the Season unfold and then go from there trades but you don’t want to break up the team too much if you’re not going to resign fols Harris or okk I feel like that’s a lot of change especially oaza four players not coming back and I don’t know what they’re going to do with the Keon Harris Queen scoffield thing but you don’t want to mix it up too much you do want to get better but you don’t want to have the players left over feeling like this isn’t the team that I vibed with last year I could look somewhere else like you don’t want that you know
