  1. It was horrible trade for us, glad we didn’t make it.

New CBA making it hard to pay players top dollar when they’re not worth it. Only reason harden/klay/pg are up in the air right now.

  3. If there’s a pick attached, I could see a cap space team like Detroit stepping in.

Maybe even the Warriors to replace Klay’s volume shooting. But they’d have to do that today before CP’s contract voids.

  4. Honestly, with Bron willing to take the pay cut and D’lo opting in, I could see making the deal for him.

  5. New cba and his injuries. The last time he was healthy he was a 25,5,5 guy, theoretically he’s a perfect fit next to AD and Bron the issue is he’s never healthy and at that contract he’d be a huge paper weight. If you could guarantee 60 games and the playoffs from him this next season he’s easily the highest upside guy to get but not likely

Lavine and a first for… D’Lo, Rui and Vincent? 😁

We wouldve considered it with Caruso but Bulls gave him away. So you can pay LeVine till the casket drops, i wouldnt even take the bulls call.

Shoukdvd kdpt Caruso n used them together dummies

One thing’s for certain: **it’s not because he’s a bad player.**

He’s a fantastic All-Star level scorer and athlete. He has good size and can make 3s. Can put up 25 PPG in his sleep.

    However…

One must weigh **injuries + contract** vs. **potential impact**.

The best situation for LaVine right now is on a team that isn’t harmed at all if he doesn’t work out. Another good home would be a team that is just as content with rebuilding as it is with gambling everything for a chance at a single ring.

other reason is teams saw the failure of Beal at Suns. No one wanna gamble in this type of player anymore

  11. We don’t need a player like him on his salary. We need guys to build with. Hustle guys, 100% effort guys, guys who play their position.

Nothing against Zach but he’s on the downtrend of his prime and we already have players who can score. We need pure shooters, defenders, anchors.

  12. jaysonman1

It’s honestly his contract.  Cut it by 10-15 mil and everyone would take him

    3 things:

    1) 1st apron teams can’t take more money (new rule). So this eliminates a bunch of teams both to take him and to create a market.

    2) he had an injury history before and then had another major injury. For the Lakers he wasn’t a major target last year or they would have gotten him. It was the year before when Westbrook was the main piece of the deal.

    3) the new rules make it nearly impossible to have more than 2 max guys. Zach is paid like one so no team is paying him to be one of them. And everyone watched how Phoenix, the lone big three, looked like a bad playoff team. A team like the Nets that are in full rebuild might take him for the asset and to hit the salary floor, but it will be after they have traded players like DFS and Cam to see if hitting the floor is necessary.

Injuries if he was healthy wouldn’t mind

  15. claydavisismyhero

He makes superstar money and he’s not a superstar. Might not even Be an all start (certainly in the west)

  16. YesterShill

He is signed for several more years and has a trade kicker in his contract.

  17. _mattyjoe

No offense OP but, are you living under a rock? He’s endlessly injured.

  18. Helgenish

Wish he could just be a 3 pt shooter on our team. If we had that plus klay it would be awesome but the $$$$

  19. ControlForward5360

Basically his scoring is great but he has no defense or rebounding so he’s already at a little bit of a disadvantage. Then adding on his contract, he can’t be a 1st option and injury history it can take a toll on his view as an asset.

  20. Hungry-Space-1829

The only team I see this risk being worth it for is the warriors

  21. He needs a contract buyout to go to a contender.

His athleticism was a big part of his game, and it fell off hard last year with injuries.

On a smaller contract he’s still super valuable, but hes not worth 40 million a year for 3 more years, presumably 4 because he’d opt in for that money lol

  22. Only if they had a player on a cheap contract who teams actually wanted to help incentivize the deal.

Too bad they have him up for a bag pf chips.

  23. twistedinnocence8604

He’s got a long massive overpaid contract and big injury concerns. No contending team will take him I’m sure. Some bottom feeder like Detroit or Orlando might take him but doubt it. Bulls are stuck with him

  24. paulboa23

Injuries is the simple answer. He’s missed big time last 3 years and then you forget early in Minnesota he had acl injury I believe

  25. Late-Comedian1777

It’s mostly the 40 million he’s owed for the next two years. If he gets hurt again and opts in, kiss the playoffs goodbye. And that’s any team not just the Lakers
