Love Obi and I think this contract is good value, so I’m not mad. But it’s a shame that we almost never get high end prospects and when we finally got them we became too good too fast to give them development.

Obi and Hali are really close. Glad they got a deal done. Vibes in the locker room will be high

It does my soul good to see difference makers enthusiastically re-signing with us. I love how bought-in to the program our team is – we must be doing something right!

  4. Glad Obi is back, just super efficient offensively, and that contract is good to have in the future for any potential deals, Pacers didn’t have a ton of those bigger deals to match salaries

  5. He’s worth that deal as long as he’s happy coming off the bench. Also this is a very tradeable contract if need be.

I don’t mind that at all. He is still improving too

He was incredible last season and earned it. Also not an overpay where he can be traded in a couple years if needed.

And people here were trying to tell me I was crazy for saying he was gonna get $15 mil a year

Keeping Obi was mandatory. Just look at how our postseason shaped up.

He was key in many games, if nothing else for his energy and athleticism. Shooting was a bonus.

Chemistry wise, he is very important. Does extremely well on the floor with TJ.

This whole squad running another season back is dangerous for the East

If he and Nembhard can be the players they were in the playoffs during the regular season I’m not concerned in the slightest about us making the ECF again.

Let’s goooooo, love Obi so much, team wouldn’t feel the same without him 🙂

  12. As a sixers fan who wanted to snag him, this is great for you guys and love to see you run it back this season. Hopefully we don’t meet in the playoffs you guys are way to fast for us

Job well done I thought for sure some team would offer him 20 mil a year. He balled out in the playoffs.

    Re-signed Siakam, re-signed Obi

Things went as expected so far

But next off-season is when it’ll start to hurt, when it’s time re-sign Myles and Drew

I think year 2 of essentially the same roster is a big positive. The way we run on offense, it’s only going to get more efficient. Defense should improve by familiarity as well. Welcome back Obi!
