BREAKING: Bulls make MASSIVE Signing… Patrick Williams Signs HUGE Deal | Chicago Bulls News

breaking news is in as Patrick Williams is looking to sign a fiveyear $90 million extension with the Chicago Bulls we’re going to be talking about what this means for the Chicago Bulls and what this is uh looking like for Patrick Williams this is Rico greenhow and this is another episode of bulls digest before we go ahead and jump into it want to let you know that 77.5% of you guys that watch the videos are not subscribed to the channel make sure you hit that subscribe button so you can stay up to date with the latest news and happenings around your Chicago Bulls so without further Ado let’s go ahead and jump into the hot topic of the day which is it is reported that Patrick Williams is going to sign a 5year 90 million extension with the Chicago Bulls and uh you know this is news that we thought was going to come down as uh you know there were Rumblings here that now with the Josh giddy deal uh that the Chicago Bulls were looking to go younger and that Patrick Williams certainly would fit with what the Chicago Bulls are looking to build and it looks like that that Domino has in fact Fallen here as now we hear about this extension the one thing that I will say about Patrick Williams is that he bet on himself he turned down a 4-year $64 million extension for now a fiveyear deal and $90 million guys so that’s important to note um you know that he bet on himself and even though he got injured he it looks like he somewhat came out on top here so um now that we have gotten that out the way guys let’s go ahead and jump into some of the statistics and things around this deal guys and so you can find this pretty much everywhere at this point in time as news has just pretty much broken but I went ahead and looked at an article here that was posted by Casey Johnson which says that the Bulls Patrick Williams is poised to continue uh his partnership here and so when we look at it it says the athletic has reported the 5year 90 million deal it’s a verbal agreement and it looks like that Williams can’t officially sign this until uh the league ends on July the 6 here so just to do a little house CLE cleaning there and then also too Ive already talked about the four years for the 60 million that he uh went ahead and declined here so and it looks like that what they were saying is Williams was looking for a deal that was very similar to DeAndre Hunter 4-year 90 million deal that he just signed with the Atlanta Hawks so makes a lot of sense there um with what he was looking at guys so you know just to start off guys you see that that is when officially Patrick Williams can go ahead and sign this I thought it was interesting like I said that he went ahead and bet on himself and that he essentially was looking back and seeing what DeAndre Hunter uh had already signed with the Atlanta Hawks before he went ahead and uh you know went ahead and signed his deal or is going to sign his deal um so with that being said guys uh that brings us to the next piece here which is going back to what AK had to say um after or on draft night I should say and he’s talking about Patrick Williams and he’s talking about the health of Patrick Williams and he’s saying that look we’ve got to look at his schedule but he was planning to be ready for training camp so initially he was talking about that he wasn’t fully ready but he’s thinking that he is going to be poised and ready for training camp guys and so look there are two major issues with Patrick Williams uh that we can pretty much probably agree on one is that he has been injured all right that is the first concern with the Chicago Bulls is that he has been injured number two I think the biggest thing with Patrick Williams is just that uh it’s his pallet light um and when I say it’s his pallet light it’s just like him being engaged his effort at times and you just wonder if he can be all the way locked in then there’s some nights where Patrick Williams honestly looks like he should have been the fourth pick in the NBA draft and then there’s some nights where he just does not look like that high of a pick guys and so look this is the Chicago Bulls are gambling in this situation they’re gambling that you know can a Kobe white situation occur twice I think that that’s what they’re saying they’re like okay now that we’ve we’re showing faith and we’re going to give you the money we’re going to extend you before anybody else can go ahead and get to you right because we believe that much into you and whatever they said they’re like look we believe that you possibly can still be a Cornerstone of the franchise especially now that we’re looking to you know pretty much build around you giddy you know and the young movement that we have Kobe white dumu whatever right they’re looking to say hey we we’re investing in you because we still believe in what you can bring to the court and so you know those are my two concerns injuries and then also to can he stay engaged all the time guys and I’m like this if he had like kind of I’m just like that Alex Caruso the Patrick Beverly like the Anthony Edwards like locked in on a night- toight basis with his physical traits Patrick Williams would absolutely just be a beast if we could get that every night and I think that that starts with him you know I think that that’s all on Patrick Williams could you say it’s some coaching stuff maybe okay cuz I will give you that Patrick Williams has had he’s been shuffled around in the lineup um you know I I’m not sure where he’s most comfortable has anybody even asked him does he want to play the four would he like to play the three I don’t know I just know that either one of those he can play and I just think that now that we have bazilus right who I think eventually is going to probably be more I think he could be a three to five kind of situation but I think he’s going to be more so uh a 3 four and I think that if we are going to keep Patrick Williams like we are going to uh I i’ much rather I think have bazis down there in the four position because I think he just he shows a little bit more for me from a post situation uh and I just think that he might be better served uh down there on the fours that’s just me personally but who knows either way I’m just saying this guys if he has to play the three he has to play the or whatever he’s got to figure it out and he’s got to find his Niche on this team and he has no more excuses now look you’re going to get a point guard that is a pass first point guard that is going to essentially make the game easier for you okay so we’re not going to necessarily have to run sets for Patrick Williams and he should be able to score he’s already shown that he can be a knockdown shooter in his career it is just can we get that inconsistency guys as we bring up his number numbers all right guys and so um here we go with the numbers looking at it you’re looking at this right here now look he went from the 9.2 points up to 10 points a game but look at the games played that is the major issue for us guys I mean it’s just at some point this is where this has got to change for Patrick Williams man he’s got to make himself available on the court and as noted man he can knock down the three ball he’s shooting 41% uh from his career another thing that I would like to see is for him to be a bit more aggressive I think um you know just rebounding the basketball I think that that’s going to be key because look if you’re going to play um you know the four right you’re going to have to rebound you’re going to have to rebound a little bit better than you know what he’s been doing and so that’s another thing that I would say with Patrick Williams that I think billis right now I think he might be the better rebounder but he’s going to take his licks uh initially talking about bazilus but I think that that’s why he’s more suited for the four and I think Patrick Williams might be more suited for the three uh even though I guess statistics have shown that he’s been solid at the four but anyhow guys look the last thing to to go along with this extension is this we still have not made a DEC or a decision excuse me on Zack LaVine and because we have not made a decision on Zack LaVine uh you know cap space moving forward with what we’re going to do in free agen see I mean this more than likely is probably simil or pretty much a symbol that we’re probably moving on from DeMar de rzan which I totally understand and I think that Demar de rozan should go on to be at a place where he could probably be in a win Now situation but if we’re going to go and keep LaVine now you know the question is could Patrick Williams and him still operate here because look he played some of his better basketball without LaVine on the floor so now you bring back LaVine I give get it he fits into our timeline all that stuff like that with the youth and stuff like that and he’s probably going to be a little bit more of a feature Point especially if Demar de rozan is not here but can he also coexist with Zack LaVine and still be solid guys and I’m bringing up lavine’s number really quickly as we look at this guys um look for all that is around LaVine and the trades and all the stuff like this the bottom line is the GU still can go out and get you buckets at 20 points per game he’s also going out here and getting you four rebounds per game and about 3.9 assists per game guys so he can still be an asset I just don’t know how the Bulls are going to mend this I mean with all the trade proposals 15 trade proposals is what is out there rumored and then on top of that like him and the team were working to kind of find a new home so then now all of a sudden you’re not finding a new home I don’t know that’s still an interesting situation but anyhow guys uh breaking news like I said Patrick Williams is expected back with the Chicago Bulls do you think that this is a good signing for the Chicago Bulls do you think that the Chicago Bulls um you know should have not went out there and signed him um do you think that Patrick Williams will turn the corner and be consistent do you think eventually he’s going to eventually be traded off from the Chicago Bulls anyhow let me know what you guys are thinking in the comments this is Rico greenhow and even though we still have no idea what we’re going to do I’m still saying go blls and I’ll see you guys on the next one peace peace

  1. They gotta be stupid as hell to give an extension to a injury 🤕 prone Baby 🍼 Boy Mama's Boy Flower 🌹 Boy who ain't got no dog 🐺 in em. He ain't never gone be Siakim or Anunobi & should never be mentioned in da same breath as Kawaii Leonard. He's a wasted pick. Right now they still don't have a consistent 23 point per game player other dan Demar & your getting rid of him. We're looking @ mediocrity for da next 5 to 10yrs Zach LaStank isn't as good as Demar. Why would you keep a Overpaid overrated injury 🤕 prone streak shooter who disappears in da clutch has no handles, no defense, no IQ can't draw fouls no leadership skills & doesn't make his teammates better. All the things Demar is, & he isn't. WHY!! 😧. Da Bulls 🐂 are now officially the Chicago Cow's 🐄 & da there management team is clueless.

  2. I am not that excited about the Bulls resigning Patrick Williams. In three (3), goin on four (4) years, so far, he has not lived up to expectations, especially OFFENSIVELY with 3-Point Shooting. He has to prove a lot more to me before I will jump back on his bandwagon. Keep Zach LeVine (6'-6") and start him at the Small Forward (3) Position, then, start Josh Giddy (6'-8") at the Power Forward (4) Position. Giddy is more "polished" than Williams…..
