He has been more active and agressive but I think drafting Luka has done more for the franchise than signing/trading for good starters and role players. He is an overall better GM so far but let’s not overlook how good of a starter kit he got (Luka, Brunson etc…)

Mavs just went to the Finals. They got rid of thj and got Grimes who is a definite improvement. Sucks to lose DJJ, but him switching agents made it so the Mavs would have to wait like two weeks to get a deal with him. That’s way too much time and waiting around. Nico pivoted and got Naji. As it stands, even with the loss of DJJ, Mavs are still in a great position.
