Honestly not that surprising the PG trade didn’t go thru. It’s a pretty common rule not to trade a meaningful player with a team that’s in the same conference, let alone same division. I assume the FO knew the chance of landing PG was low. Why would the Clips want to make the Warriors better unless they were blowing it up and resetting.

This is hard to hear, but if we can’t field a competitive team for Steph and will struggle to even make the play in, we should consider trading him and Dray for assets while their value are still at their peak (relative to what it’ll be over time).
Unless they don’t mind riding this out for the one team legacy etc, then cool, we ride with em.

Can someone explain why everyone is shitting on Dunleavy? What did you guys expect him to do? Bob Meyers left him an absolute mess with the Poole and Wiggins contacts and in addition to that he’s got Klay wanting to be paid like a star still even though he’s a bench caliber player at this point. Then you have Draymond deciding to become a MMA fighter half the time in addition to the core of Steph, Draymond, Looney and Klay declining with age and injuries and it’s a complete shit show. He managed to offload Poole and but couldn’t flip an expiring CP3 but by all accounts explored all avenues. The reality is the unless the miracle of a Paul George sign and trade happened this team was done and had been done since the moment Draymond punched Poole, and there was nothing Dunleavy or Lacob or anyone else in the front office and ownership could do to stop this ship from sinking.
