Deni: “I don’t want to be at the end of my career and say i could have been an all star and shot 20 a game, or averaged 20. I’m there”

caption:”(i don’t want to think back and say) i could’ve been an allstar, i could have shot 20 a game”

In his latest interview for the Israeli network sport5, Deni(still as a wizard) talked about his growing confidence and aspirations for the coming years:
“I can tell you that at the right time, at the right age with the necessary confidence and experience, i could come close to being a “head of the lions”(referring to an Israeli expression)

When asked about the wizards hierarchy next season, Deni also mentioned he thinks he is at the top.
“I used to be afraid of failure, and that’s why i was afraid to dare. Today I’m in a totally different place.”

Just some excerpts from Deni’s interview in hebrew which was shot about a month ago, and came out three days ago.

Translating the whole interview is a bit much for me rn but that’s the jist of it, worth noting it seems like Deni’s manager also thought Deni was a corner stone for the wizards rebuild, but he did mention it’s possible for Deni to be traded for the right price.

This is gonna be so fun to watch! He’s a great addition!

  2. Still can’t believe the Wizards traded him. Heard some complaints about the price paid, but I thought it was an absolute steal.

I desperately wanted us to draft Deni. I’m so ecstatic we made this move.

Ah yes. Deni. The Israeli Kai Sotto. 😉

If his noisy fanbase doesn’t relax it’s going to get harder and harder for the guy to exceed the rather shallow expectations we have for any new player 🤷
