Klay Thompson Signing w/ Dallas Mavericks + Jazz Trading Lauri Markkanen!? Lakers SHOPPING DLo!

welcome back to another NBA offseason video and free agency is going to be opening tomorrow Sunday June 30th at night and there are a lot of things that are going to be interesting to watch out for and in this video I’m going to be talking about the situation with Klay Thompson Lori marinan and D’Angelo Russell starting things off for Klay Thompson it seems like it’s getting less likely by the minute that he reigns with the Warriors as according to wge last night there’s been little communication between the sides which includes Golden State not even offering him a contract Thompson could also be on the Move via a sign and trade which allows the Warriors to recoup Assets in return so WJ said his chances to resign with golden state are tenuous at best and then if you’re listening to insiders like Mark Stein it seems like there’s going to be strong mutual interest between clay and the Dallas Mavericks and the Mavericks as of right now going into free agency could potentially be the favorites to sign him and I talked about it yesterday with the nuggets as a potential landing spot I feel like if you put Clay on the Nuggets or the Mavericks those could be two perfect destinations for him to revitalize his career and bounce back after a down year with golden state this last year and the reason why is because he wouldn’t have to be the first option he wouldn’t have to be the second option either when I was talking about the Nuggets you have joic and Jamal Murray but then with the Mavericks you have Luca donic and Kyrie Irving two of the best self-c creators in the game and not only can they create for the themselves but they’re going to create a lot of open looks for Klay Thompson you saw in the playoffs all the open looks that were going to Derrik Jones or PJ Washington if Klay Thompson is getting those looks that’s a big part why he has four rings and four championships because he can be a lethal shooter no matter how old he is he still has won the cleanest shots in the game when things are going right so the Mavericks could be the favorites and that can make a lot of sense for both sides now moving on to the Jazz and Lori marinan WJ said the Jazz are opening are open to listening to trade offers on Lori marinin Utah was seriously in on acquiring male Bridges and now teams wonder if they will pivot to sell they were trying to get another star around Lori marinin and male Bridges was a guy that they really liked so with him off the market maybe now they’re going to look to push their timeline back even a few more years he did add that Utah would like to keep marinin in a perfect world but teams are preparing aggressive offers and he said it would take a great great deal to pry Markin and out of Utah so yes it can get you some assets but what’s clear with Lori Markin especially these years in Utah He’s probably never going to be the point where he can be the best player on a championship team or Championship contending team but he could be a number two if you have a superstar or a co-star around him then have a very deep roster and in the case of the Utah Jazz if they were able to get male Bridges to pair around Lorie Markin and then had a draft like they did where they got Cody Williams Kyle filipowski Isaiah ker they’re stacking up up on Talent so they could very well be a deep roster they just don’t have the star power to compliment Lorie Markin at the top so it’ll be in very interesting I don’t think they’re going to try to trade Lori Markin in but if the team with a ton of assets like the OKC Thunder or the Houston Rockets or Philadelphia 76ers tried to pry him away then they might have to listen and they might not be able to turn down an offer if it is too good now for the last part of today’s video before free agency starts D’Angelo Russell opted in to his player option worth just over $18 million last night and I think this is a big move for the Lakers not just because he had a productive season last year but now you’re not going to lose him for nothing and it still seems clear that they’re going to try to trade him according to the athletic there’s a sense that there’s a clear ceiling to the Austin Reeves D’Angelo Russell back court and it seems like the Lakers preference is to keep Austin Reeves he’s on a better more Team friendly contract he’s been a better performer in the playoffs and he’s also better on the defensive end of the ball so we knew that things would have to shake up with JJ reck but instead of having him leave for nothing you can at least get Assets in return for Dow if that’s the route that they decide to go if not then he was a productive player so maybe they run it back with him subscribe if you like these videos that’s what’s going on around the league and what you have to know before free agency starts tomorrow
