Breaking: Bulls SIGN Jalen Smith to 3 Year/$27M Deal

so after a pretty uneventful day one of free agency I was up late last night putting together the Paul George signing on my M1 Hoops Channel and now we get word from Adrian rinowski that free agent center Jaylen Smith has agreed to a three-year deal $27 million contract with the bulls I actually like this signing I know it’s a pretty underwhelming signing for probably a lot of fans because whatever it’s Jaylen Smith former top 10 pick didn’t really pan out with the Suns played decently well for the Pacers um but this is definitely a rebuild move this is what the Bulls are doing now it’s pretty clear to me that the Bulls are going in a fullblown rebuild now I don’t know what this means for n vuvi at this point in time obviously the Bulls have been trying to shop him according to a lot of reports uh at the same time though if they don’t end up moving V and he stays that Jaylen Smith is a good backup five uh but this is a center that is actually decent at stretching the floor he had a pretty good season last year with the Pacers uh it appears that this is probably going to be the Bulls using most of their mid-level exception on this $27 million cont track which really limits them from uh an ability to bring in additional free agents I think that also takes away the potential of a sign in trade for demard de rosan at this point um but we’ll have to wait and see this is one of the players that I actually would have liked to see the Bulls go after as a backup five a younger backup five that’s athletic can stretch the floor um I would have obviously preferred someone like Isaiah hartenstein but he just signed a massive deal with Oklahoma City Thunder good on the Thunder there going to be incredible this year um but this is a big pickup for the Bulls I I like it we’ll see what else is to come as we get on with the rest of the day with free agency I’ll obviously keep you guys posted let me know your thoughts on the signing as always be sure to subscribe and I will see you in the next one
