Yea I can also report that nothing has changed since the last bit of Klay news. Come on, Stein

  2. Sure reads like it’s now a 50/50 game. There’s nothing except giving LAL time to stand in the way of it getting done.

If hasn’t agreed to come here by now then he’s stalling for the Lakers to create cap space. I would make him make his decision in the next hour or so. If he doesn’t, then I would start working on other things. Gonna end up missing out on other players waiting for him to make his decision like we did with Danny Green.

Gotta think state tax would be an issue for LA too. Although the Mavs rarely win these kind of negotiations.

Sounds like he’s waiting to see if the Lakers can pull off more to match the Mavs offer. If they can’t he comes, if they can he goes. The longer this drags out, seems like the more likely he goes there. Would like him at the price that was rumored, but not torn if he doesn’t. I know Nico has a pivot move. Worst case, we go into the season as is and make a move at trade deadline.

Think Klay is gonna say no to both of his Dads?

So to sum up, he wants Dallas money but wants to play for the Lakers. The longer this gets dragged out , the worse the outlook for us.

  8. So Mavs are used as leverage to land him a nice contract in LA. 🧐

If he’s taking this long he wants the lakers to match or the Mavs to pay more. Probably the lakers to match.

Lebron is just getting a kickback from Klutch to take a lower salary and make the Klay contract work – shit is rigged man

If the mutual interest was strong enough, this would’ve been done already. Klay is just giving lakers more time to maneuver. He will be in LA

  12. Zestyclose_Wafer_416

We’re leverage AGAIN. Klay will go to the Lakers

  13. He’s only doing this for more money. Don’t want him 🤷

I would love to have Klay but I’m also not gonna lose sleep if he went to the Lakers. I believe Nico will make all the right moves we need to be successful.

I’d sign with a team in San Francisco if I were Klay. The weather is always around 50-70 and beautiful view.

It feels like the Lakers and Warriors agreeing on which players are getting dealt for Klay is the issue.

The Lakers have a lot of disposable pieces from DLo, Gabe Vincent, Rui, Vando and all the other minimum players.
The Lakers probably want to off load DLo but the Warriors don’t want him back.

Because for the Mavs, the situation is quite straight forward.
Green and/or Maxi are the only players available.

So if it’s taken this much time, it’s either Klay wants the Lakers or the Warriors don’t want that the Mavs are offering.
