BREAKING: Isaiah Hartenstein SIGNING With Thunder | Latest Knicks Free Agency News & Rumors

on day two of NBA free agency we have some Breaking News Isaiah hartenstein is signing a three-year $87 million contract to leave the New York Knicks and go play with the Oklahoma City Thunder you’re watching Nicks Now by chat sports I am your host Marshall green and before we just dive into this and what’s next for the Knicks what does this mean for the first round selections they made Let’s just light up the comment section with 55s the number that ihart wore with the New York Knicks look he signed to a 2-year deal worth $16 million and following that he signs a threeyear $87 million deal he outperformed his contract he was awesome with the Knicks the last two years and they do not accomplish the things that they did without him he steps into the starting role when Mitchell Robinson went down last year and it took this team to new heights he has grown tremendously as a player I don’t think he’s even close to the ceiling of a player that he’s going to be he’s going to continue to grow on the off offensive end we saw that push shot from 8 to 10 ft become automatic his playmaking took a step and he live leaves big shoes to fill for whether that be Mitchell Robinson or whoever else is called on to be the starting center for the New York Knicks look the CBA just prevented the Knicks from getting this done they only owned his early bird rights if you only have someone on your team for 2 years you own their early bird rights which means you can only offer them a certain percentage of their previous deal if you are over the salary cap and that is what the New York Knicks are so maybe you could say Leon Rose messed up by only giving him a two-year deal two years ago but I don’t think Leon knew that he was going to become a guy that gets $29 million per year in free agency the biggest contract for centers so far he out earns Nick Claxton who signed a $25 million per year deal so hardenstein off the New York Knicks it hurts because the starting lineup on paper of hartenstein Randall an anobi Bridges and Brunson in my opinion was the best starting five in the NBA but it it did not happen it won’t happen and now the Knicks have to readjust and find a new path to travel down to find someone to be their starting fan this is why you subscribe to the channel though we put out videos every single day even when we’re not at the studio going to be going live on the channel in a couple of hours to break everything down for day two of free agency but before all that I wanted to let you guys know about hartenstein and man this one hurts I’m so happy for the dude so proud of the guy he earned every single dollar he he earned this opportunity and it stinks as a Knicks fan but you know what you got to have heart and I got all the respect in the world for him he left it all out on the floor every time he stepped out there he wore that New York Knicks jersey with pride and he is going to bring a lot to the Oklahoma City Thunder right now they are my favorites to win the Western Conference and head to the NBA finals I think him along with Chad Jaylen Williams and SGA that is one of the top four players uh in this league and they’re going to be really good for a really long time hartenstein leaving the New York Knicks very very sad uh type those 55s in the comment section show our guy iHeart some love Al righty what does this mean for the New York Knicks well first before that um for all the people that told me the New York Knicks made the right decision in the first round of the NBA Draft by selecting Pome daier and then trading at a pick 25 to save salary cap space to sign Isaiah hartenstein what are we doing you’re wrong that was never the move the New York Knicks fumbled the 2024 NBA draft outside of drafting Kevin mcculler and Tyler KCK you had two first round picks you turned them into Pome daier who you’re hoping becomes a great player at 18 years old but the reason you drafted him was to keep him overseas to save salary cap space so for all the people that tried to tell me I was wrong you were all wrong had to spend the block on all those guys cuz the comment section is just a cessful at times and there’s no repercussions for people that say things like that also Jake fiser we got to stop believing whatever Jake fiser says Jake fiser reported a week ago that it was expected that the New York Knicks were going to resign Isaiah hartenstein he was wrong he also told us OG and and Obi was mythed with the Villanova Knicks he resigned with the Knicks and he actually resigned to a team that added another Nova niick so Jake fiser the commenters defending the first round picks for the Knicks what an L for you today let’s focus on the next more important topics though what’s next well right now you’re looking at Mitchell Robinson being your starting center and to be quite honest with you I’m not the biggest fan of that for a lot of different reasons one I can’t depend on Mitchell Robinson he I mean I’ll just pull up his game log and we’ll get the exact numbers for this but I think it’s fair to say that Robinson has been one thing in his career not durable 31 games last year 59 games the year before 31 games in 2021 three out of the last four seasons he has played 59 games or less he is a good player one of the best Rim protectors in this league a really really good offensive rebounder I would probably go as far as to say the best offensive rebounder in this league but him as the starting center compared to Isaiah hartenstein or an offensively skilled Center that can still play defense your ceiling in my opinion has come down you are now once again playing four on five on offense you are hoping just for extra possessions to cancel out the lack of offensive skill that Robinson has your offense now has to change last year hartenstein was a playmaking hub for you how many dribble handoffs did we see how efficient was that pick and roll with him and Jaylen Brunson how often did we see Isaiah hartstein finding those backd door Cutters there’s going to have to be a new look to this offense if Mitchell Robinson is the starting center and it comes back to this can you win a championship if your starting center cannot hit free throws and cannot score the basketball outside of the dunker spot I do not know we saw saw Derrick Lively unable to play for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals we saw Gafford unable to play in the NBA Finals I think you need all five players to be a threat on offense when you would pass the ball to Isaiah hartenstein it was more than likely he was going to make the right decision or find another better option to score when you pass to Mitchell Robinson your possession is likely over I don’t want to come on here and just rip Robinson I’m just thinking about the future of the New York Knicks I’m worried about his durability his lack of offensive skill in the ceiling of this offense without hardenstein you got a great offensive rebound there’s no doubt about that but even furthermore you cannot enter the 2024 season with Mitchell Robinson and Jericho Sims being your Center Duo do they go out and resign pre Thea they own his bird rights they could bring him back there’s centers out there that are flying off the market Andre Drummond heading to Chicago uh excuse me heading to Philadelphia Jaylen Smith heading to Chicago Ian Begley is reporting that the Orlando Magic reportedly have a deal on the table for go go batat that the New York Knicks cannot match so who are we looking at James wisman Mo Vagner slim pickings slim pickings for the New York Knicks at that Center position I tweeted it out and I’ll stand by it if I’m Leon Rose I’m working the phones right now and I’m trying to pair Mitchell Robinson and dece McBride to get a starting center on this team team you got to do what you got to do you want to beat Boston you want to represent the East you want to beat Philadelphia who just signed Paul George I understand Mitch does a good job on Joel embiid these got better this morning and the Knicks got a little bit worse work is still to be done for Leon Rose did a hell of a job getting OG done did a hell of a job of getting male Bridges here but there’s still moves to be made if this team wants to represent the Eastern Conference I’m worried about ing the season with Mitchell Robinson being the starting center that’s just where I’m at on that make sure you are subscribed to the channel have your notifications on whenever the Knicks make a move we make a video and we’re going to be live on the channel breaking NBA free agency down in totality in a couple of hours we’ll see you then let’s go Nick

The Knicks free agency tracker has not been very active so far, but there’s still plenty of time for quality moves – and now, we need to start looking at Isaiah Hartenstein replacements. The Knicks roster is pretty thin at the position outside of Mitchell Robinson, who has also been linked to Knicks trade rumors since the offseason began. Now, Tom Thibodeau and company have a tall task replacing Hartenstein alongside Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges and the Nova Knicks.

  1. Happy for him and his family hes supporting..but now micth gotta stay healthy and simms gotta step up

  2. What we also really needed is someone to give Brunson a break . Bridges would have been great, only if they could have secured Hartenstein!!

  3. Love IHart. This allows us to play big with Mitch, JR, OG, Mikal and Brunson. This also allows us to play small with JR at the center and slide Donte into the starting role. We'll miss his passing and durability and we're thin in the back up Center position but we'll be ok.

  4. KNICKS.GAVE SO MUCH MONEY TO ANUNOBY AND BRIDGES THEY HAD NO CAPSPACE LEFT TO SIGN THEIR MOST IMPORTANT NEED ISIAIH HARTE STEIN. LEON ROSR MESSED UP BADLY.

  5. The Knicks are in trouble. I had them going to the Finals with OG and Hartenstein. The Knicks also blew an opportunity to sign Andre Drummond. Mitchell Robinsuck is not the answer. The Knicks are probably looking at another second round exit. Good luck Hartenstein.

  6. Can we as Knicks fans stop acting like Hartenstein is the second coming of Hakeem Olajuwon!!!! The man played well in a contract year for god sakes. What happened when he went up against Embiid in the playoffs ? He got served. Miles Turner made Hartenstein sit in a corner. Trading Deuce and Mitch for what? You do realize that Knicks added a 20 point scorer that also plays solid defense right. Randle is back and provides more than I-Hart. Knicks as constructed are 8 solid men deep.

  7. Embid and Turner cooked this guy .His offense disappeared in the playoffs he had 1 good game in the series .He can be replaced
