🚨 Woj DETAILS Klay Thompson SIGNING with the Dallas Mavericks 🚨 What now for GSW? | SportsCenter

coach what are you hearing uh Jake uh Klay Thompson is on his way to the Dallas Mavericks I’m told a three-year 550 million deal that’ll include a player option it’s a sign in trade with the warriors with Charlotte and Klay Thompson’s 133-year career in Golden state for championships is now over he really went down to the wire with Dallas the Lakers the Lakers are extremely intriguing to Klay Thompson his dad played there he lives in LA in the off season but this Dallas team with Luca donic Kyrie Irving coming off the NBA Finals a chance to win his fifth NBA championship and then financially even though there was an opportunity at four-year deals uh maybe some more money I think just the state taxes in Texas the ability uh to financially benefit from living there you know that played a part but playing with donic playing with Kyrie Irving uh Dallas was really aggressive and trying to bring him in so were the Lakers uh but Klay Thompson three years $50 million and uh that great warriors Dynasty now is minus uh one of its Real historic players let’s stay on that topic so so what now with the warriors with Klay gone well they’ll do this sign and trade and Klay Thompson’s agent Greg Lawrence is finishing that with the teams um you know they’ll get back essentially a trade exception uh from Dallas um but for listen they’ve been trying to be aggressive in other places uh in Golden State one player that a number of teams have tried to Target Lori marinin of the Utah Jazz Utah is not sure it wants to trade him but they they have to listen they’ve been listening and a lot of the teams who lost out to Mel Bridges from Brooklyn have transferred over uh to trying to see if they can uh land Lorie marinin out of Utah golden state is one of those teams he [Music]

  1. What's up with these players that are fans of teams growing up, but when they get their chance to play with that team, they bail. Frauds.

  2. Tobias Harris 2 years 52 million, Klay 3 years 50million? Give me a splash brother anyday of the week.

  3. I'm a warriors fan I was rooting for mavericks to win this year ill be rooting for klay. Good move

  4. Wait a minute. 3 years for 50 million is a great price…. I thought he was asking for a lot more from the warriors… what happened

  5. Well this trade is good for Klay, Kyrie who was hated because what the media potrayed on him was really happy and respected in dallas. He and Luka even matched together even both of them are ball dominant. Imagine Klays open looks when the passes from Luka and Kai are going to him instead of hardaway and DJJ shooting them

  6. Bro Klay to the Mavs will be nuts! I wouldn’t be surprised if they get a ring next season.

  7. super interesting trade. But, I feel like the Mavs need more lockdown defense and not more cannons on offense. Maybe it'll allow Luka and Kyrie to get more time off the floor to recover so they're healthy for the playoffs though. Who knows? It'll be interesting to watch next season

  8. dude turned down a 2-y/r$48M for a 3–yr/$50M and people say hes been wronged lmao. how about hiring someone who knows basic math before declining a really good offer.

  9. I really like Lauri Markkanen, but I think Utah will want too much for him. I think our best option is to trade for Zach Lavine. He would be an excellent replacement for Klay, who can also shoot, dribble, pass, make plays, and also needs a fresh start. He will be our new SG/#2/Splash Brother!! . . . It was reported on Sunday that the Bulls did offer Lavine to us for CP3 and Wiggins, but the Warriors turned it down. Like why?? . . . They're willing to give 34 yr old PG a 4 yr max contract, but not take 30 yr old Zach's 3 yr contract, who is younger and can do all of the same things as PG, smh. But we can still trade Wiggins for Zach this summer tho, as I believe the salaries don't have to match when you're under the cap, and the Bulls definitely want to move Zach.
