Hawks Trade Dejounte Murray To Pelicans For Larry Nance, Dyson Daniels, 2 First Round Picks

so it finally happened and dejonte Murray was traded for lar ant in two first round picks to the new Orland picks to the new Orland Pelicans I said picks by accident but yes the deal ends up that the Pelicans are trading a 2025 first round pick via the Los Angeles Lakers and the least favorable pick between the Milwaukee and Pelicans pick in 2027 both were first rounders they’re including Larry Nance Jr and more for dejonte Murray Adrien wowski puts out there now Dyson Daniels has been included in the deal as well and as I look at it I really think Dyson Daniels two picks and Larry Nance who helps this team have like two different looks they’re going to have two different looks now the the the Hawks they’re going to have a look where they can go Larry n Jaylen Johnson Zachary rache and Trey young bdon bonovich and then they have another look where it’ll be Ono kongu Jaylen Johnson if they keep DeAndre Hunter I don’t think so but Zachary r r r is going to be the small forward there what a what a deal what a deal and I think this works out well new New Orleans adds dejonte Murray to the back courp then the the Hawks walk away with with three players they get a backup point guard in Dyson Daniels who’s also going to allow who Dyson Daniels either a backup point guard or he’s a backup Point Wing you have Kobe buffkin who’s either a point guard or a shooting guard and both of those guys could develop into starters or they’re going to be really good backups so for Atlanta they walk away with two picks and Deon I know the original trade for Deon Murray when it happened was a little bit they gave up a lot but at the end of the day what they were able to you know from they gave up multiple first round picks and just denil ginari in the original deal for them to get three pit players back in two picks and one of those players being a former first round pick himself I think is a great deal and one that shows hey some savviness by Atlanta’s front office that people weren’t going to give him credit also by the way Atlanta fans Mr Nick rustler does not have much power anymore Nick wrestler has kind of taken a step back and good so for for me I think this is definitely going to be very interesting from the Pelican standpoint I think the Pelicans to get the the point guard that they needed they have CJ Callum they have dejonte Murray they have Brandon Ingram who they are saying is going to stay they have Zion Williamson and they’re going to go out and get a free agent all allegedly and I I personally think this is a great great deal for New Orleans they needed a point guard and they get the perfect point guard for them I just I think the the biggest question is now was is it going to be enough does this put them over the edge to be a a team that’s going to be able to compete and that’s the the biggest what if for New Orleans I think they gave the pickwise I think they gave up the the compensation they gave up I don’t think is anything exuberant anything that people are going to be like oh my God you gave up an arm and a leg but the idea of now dejonte Murray CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson all being on a team and you still have Trey Murphy and Herb Jones like that’s a pretty deep deep deep deep deep deep deep team like I I don’t know man I think they they did something good out there and I want to I want to hear your guys’s opinions if you’re a Pelicans fan or if you’re a Hawks fan do you guys agree with me I just think this was a such a a solid trade that both parties should be very proud of what they were able to do and to me it’s just one of those things where I think Atlanta gets to look I think Trey Young’s the type of guy you have to build around you don’t not build around Trey young that’s sry Trey young just is a better player than jeante Murray and I understand jeon Murray is a great player but then for New Orleans they had to start to swing big okay they’re at that point they aren’t rebuilding anymore and Zion is get is like not he’s on his second contract it’s time to settle down and that’s what they ended up doing I think that was one of the biggest things for them as now they walk away with a squad that we’re going to sit sit here and say could really put you know some pressure in the west and the NBA is wide open so to me for this deal to come through like the way that it did kudos to them for being able to pull the trigger and get the deal done cuda’s the Landry field for finding this deal and not feeling forced to take a bad deal I think that’s the the biggest thing we’re seeing right here they didn’t go ahead and just do a deal for the sake of making a deal and for whatever crap we want to give Landry Fields I think we need to say Mr Landry fields did it all right they also brought a Nicole jic so like I want to say again another interesting move by the Hawks I think the Hawks are really I know a lot of people want to talk their crap when it talk comes down to the the Hawks and the dysfunction they’ve had since there but again I told you guys Nick wrestler is not no longer really having a voice in the locker room in the front office so maybe this is a result of him not being a part of the front office as much now I think what’s the the biggest thing is them understanding that I think this is a a squad in Atlanta that is trying to compete that is trying to take those steps to be a a winner and they want to do it with Trey young and I think Trey young does give you the highest ceiling I know some people are going to be like no he doesn’t ladies and gentlemen yes he does regardless of what you think Trey young is an all-nba player even in his Worst season you mean he’s an All-Star in his worst seasons and he’s in his best seasons borderline MVP player and he just you just don’t that like you keep those guys you just keep those guys regardless of what you think of how they’ve done jobwise you keep those type of guys so I think this was a great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great move by Atlanta I think it’s a great move from New Orleans one of those examples of a win-win situation and now with Mr Big Daddy boy Don bonovich being a guy who will probably you know run off the bench for them I think that’s even better cuz it gives them this I think their team’s just deeper now like deep like the abyss deep it’s a good it’s an okay movie it’s not like I’m not going to sit here and be like it’s amazing but it’s worth a watch if you haven’t seen it the abyss seriously it is it is like I mean if you have like three hours on deck and you don’t mind I would go watch the abyss but if you have plans or something maybe not but if again if you’re looking for something to do great movie

The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to trade Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Larry Nance Jr., Dyson Daniels, a 2025 first-round pick (via the Lakers), and a 2027 first-round pick (least favorable of Bucks-Pels). This blockbuster deal sees the Hawks part with their star guard Murray while acquiring valuable assets to build for the future.

Dejounte Murray’s arrival in New Orleans is set to enhance the Pelicans’ backcourt with his defensive prowess and playmaking abilities. Meanwhile, the Hawks receive a versatile forward in Larry Nance Jr., a promising young guard in Dyson Daniels, and two future first-round picks to aid their rebuilding efforts.

  1. Murray is all hype as he is always on the losing team proving he can't lead a team to a chip. The trade is fair as its possible that this trade won't even improve the pelicans overall

  2. I like the deal. They added depth and defense @ the 1 & the 4/5 and I think they might have saved some money…Murray was the best player but not a fit with Trae.

  3. I was pissed at first, but more I think about it, this was a good trade for both teams, and DJ. DJ and Trae didnā€™t fit because DJ is on ball PG. Hawks get one of the best defender, good vet center on expiring contract and 2 FRPs. Landry said they will make more moves. Nepo Ressler out is the biggest gift.

  4. The Hawks finally saw the light. They are building around JJ and Trae. Zacc is an SF who can play on ball D, help D, and guard positions 1-4.

Daniels is in the 88% tile in Defense, which means he's one of the best defenders in the NBA already at 21 years old. He's still on his rookie contract.

Zacc and Daniels are everything the Hawks needed to surround Young with. Long athletic tall 3 and D players who can put the ball on the floor finish at the Rim.

Trae and JJ will become the next Malone and Stockton.

Daniels will start at 2 guard and Zacc will start at SF. Okungwu may start at Center.

  5. Also, Zach has been considered a huge SG as well. I think if he ran next to Hunter and JJ will make the Hawks much more designed around Trae as their lead.

  6. I am a little surprised on a lot of these Hawks got fleeced takes. Like what? Dyson Daniels was a first rounder, great defensive player, Nance allows them to move on from Capella, they got 2 more picks to cover the years they lost theirs. And they get cheaper allowing them to stay under the apron. I think Anyone who says Hawks got fleeced is a lazy thinker. Good video @Cyro

  7. Landry did a terrible job. He gave up too much and got too little in return. This was a salary dump because we have a CHEAP OWNER.

  8. Atlanta Hawks Trade DeAndre Hunter Saddiq Bey To Orlando Magic for Small Forward/power Forward Jonathan Isaac Point Guard Anthony Black

  9. Atlanta Hawks Trade Clint capela Bruno Fernando To Phoenix Suns For Bol Bol Center Udoka Azubuike 6foot11 weight 270 23 years old 2025 2027 first round draft picks
