  1. Glad he’s staying around. Will be good for the young guys

Gotta bunch of new rooks for him to mentor, I like the move to bring him back

I believe we are also out of roster spots now? So any more signings would need an additional move

  3. I’m actually really happy about this signing, been wishing it for weeks now

I say this with neither cynicism nor criticism but this is likely going to be it for us making moves in free agency given all of the moves we made in the draft.

We were looking for a backup point and got 2 fliers on that in Jamal Shead and Davion Mitchell via that excellent Kings trade.

We wanted a backup center (An actual center, not a swingman who isn’t a deterrent at the rim like Olynyk) and took another flier on Ulrich Chomche.

We need shooting and thus drafted Ja’Kobe Walter (Though this comes with the caveat that they are seemingly letting Gary Trent Jr. walk or might work on a sign and trade).

We needed another forward/wing and took yet another flier on Sasha via the Kings.

As far as i’m aware, this team has 1 roster slot left at the moment.

Beyond the lack of experience/the number of rookies added to this team and the risk they don’t pan out, this team still has holes – it’s in serious need of a wing at the 3/4 if Sasha does leave and one to come off the bench – but it’s very much in a state where the team can simply run with who they have on the books and see what they have.

At this point just become an assistant coach for us

  6. Don’t mind this at all. Player/Coach/Mentor. Hopefully turn Brown into something.

This is the true FA acquisition we needed this offseason. LETSSS GOOOOO

I’m glad we brought him back. I think Temple coming back was important for this FO/team. He seems like he really fits with the young group as an on the court coach. I wouldn’t be surprised that the Raptors try to bring him in as a coach down the line.

This offseason was never going to be about big free agent signings – rightfully so, in my opinion. I think we will see some trades but I never expected us to get a big FA unless someone fell into our laps.

  9. We have one of the youngest cores in the NBA. Good to have a veteran presence on the bench.

Also, I just fucking love the guy.

Good someone has to teach these kids how to dress

Couldn’t be happier, class A vet who can really set a good example for the young core of guys on the team. He’s already proven to have an impression on Gradey and Scottie, glad he can continue being a teacher to these guys!

Honesty when we lost Thad I was pretty bummed out but Temple’s done his part

  13. Outside_Tear6538

Temple is the perfect vet for Toronto. Happy we retained him.

  14. Proof_Ad5734

Probably the most important FA signing for the team.

  15. bloatedswordfish89

He’s always the first guy standing up clapping when timeout called

  16. Watching him sprint his ass of in the last game or two of the season was awesome. Great character guy.

Is a team that can potentially compete only if everything works out….otherwise the lottery

  18. Big_Albatross_3050

We know if Kyle is going for it again with the Sixers or is he gonna take his retirement tour in Toronto

  19. Cheechers23

Content with keeping a vet around given all the young guys on the team.

I think the fact they went for Temple instead of using the MLE to sign someone indicates they’re fine being in the lottery again this year. They didn’t try to address any of the team needs via free agency

Great move, the presence of a veteran is so key to developing a good culture

  21. ChiefSoldierFrog

Really hoping he gets a job in the front office with us when he’s done playing.

  22. washedwriter

Really happy with that. He brings a lot of leadership to the team, he’s always ready to get on the court for a couple minutes, he’s a great example for the younger players. And of course, he’s always classy/swagy

That may or may not cap us on roster spots once the 15 maximum comes around, depending on what 2RPs get 2-wayed

Really need to move Bruce, possibly Chris and be serious about if Sasha is long for the team. Get some cheap forwards and a center prospect
