The Thunder Just ROBBED The NBA…

the Oklahoma City Thunder are already the number one winners of the 2024 free agency class just by the moves they did on day two and it looks as though they may not be done but we’re not here to talk about instead we’re going to talk about the contract extensions you know how big of a contract Aaron Wiggins Isaiah Joe really have as G to be honest they were deserved they were deserved and realistically I think we got them cheap I’m going to be honest when I look at it with how cheap they’re going to be become 2028 and 2029 respectively Isaiah Joe in his last year and Aaron Wiggins in his last year in 2029 Aron wi is going to be making $9.4 million on his final year of his contract and that’s going to be a steal as he’s going to be going into the prime of his career and he yes he may not be a starter for us at all but he’ still be one of the best role players in the league with how he’s been how he’s projected to kind of increase in value and how much better he’s supposed to be same with Isaiah Joe one of the best three-point shooters the league and we’re going to be paying $12 million for him on his final year of his contract in 2028 these are absolute steals for the Thunder and quite frankly they robbed the entire NBA they did these kind of contracts are what’s going to make the Thunder a great team for the next four to five years let alone adding Alex Caruso and Isaiah hartenstein to the team yes I finally got it right I always thought it was Stein but it is Steen according to Stephen A Smith W Shams all these people talking about him I only say hear them say Steen so it is har and Steen that’s what I’m be saying now but back to Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe first we’re going to go ahead and look at the contracts here all right first one is Aaron Wiggins uh the Oklahoma City Thunder and free agent forward Aaron Wiggins have agreed to a new 5-year $47 million deal after OKC declined his $2 million team option Wiggins receives $45 million new money with a significant raise next season Thunder lock in a key rotation piece long term key word key rotation piece he is someone that isn’t necessarily going to be our six-man but he is definitely somewhere between our seventh and eighth man one of the key components on our roster and in our bench he does everything at an efficient and high rate especially as a bench player which allows us to be deep he has good size as well six6 he’s a small forward for us he plays the position well and he kind of I don’t want to say was our leader for our second unit last year but it felt like anytime he went in the offense and defense kind of ran through him that’s what it seemed like to me he seemed like in every single play of the second unit somewhere Aaron Wiggins was involved and speaking of another guy that was always involved offensively even when he got put in the starting lineup for a little bit offensively this guy was also constantly involved free asent Sharpshooter Isaiah Joe has agreed to a new 4-year $48 million deal to return to Oklahoma City Thunder sources tell the athletic and Stadium Joe joined OKC after being waved by the 76ers in 2022 and now earns a longterm contract this man was a key part of our offense on the bench even when you come in and play with the starters because he always reminded you we can’t leave this dude that’s in the corner now and getting screens to get open behind the arc we can’t leave him open and let him shoot it because he shoots it at such a high clip 41% and majority of his shots are three-pointers because he knows he’s deadly from there and he’s going to live or die by that three-point shot from behind the line and those two contracts for what they’re worth uh Aaron Wiggins making 9.4 million honestly I think that’s a steal I think he’s a guy that’s worth anywhere from 12 to5 million per year that is an absolute steal in my book Isaiah Joe kind of where I figured he’d be at anywhere from 10 to 12 million I figured I didn’t think we wouldd offer him a fouryear deal I was kind of seeing something like three or so but that fouryear $12 million deal absolute insane value on both them insane value for the Thunder which is going to allow our bench to be deep for the next four to five years it really is and it has a ton of potential to kind of extend what we’re hoping to be a dynasty here all right right that’s what we’re hoping especially after all the moves we made so far in the off season and it looks as though there may be another move up Sam prey sleeve that we’ll also talk about here in just a second it’s just insane that the Thunder may not be done even if they are we’ve probably built one of the best rosters in the NBA if not potentially the best now I still think the winner of with the eventual Mavs Thunder you know matchup in the playoffs whether it be the first round for some weird reason if we’re both a four and five if it’s the second round or if it’s the Western Conference Finals whenever we do play each other with what the maps have done add of their team so far I think that team makes the finals no matter what area it is in the playoffs in the Western Conference I it would either be us or the Mavericks in the finals I don’t think the Timberwolves have a chance I think I think you’re you know two bigman of cat and Rudy go bear can’t really get it done Anthony Edward’s a great player it’s just I don’t think they’re big man can get it done for them and then also in Denver they’ve lost a ton of huge pieces to the team I don’t necessarily see them as big of a threat the Lakers haven’t been able to do much this off season I don’t see them much as a threat either the Clippers they’re not as big of a threat anymore and potentially their picks will be lottery picks that will help out the Thunder even more which is insane the Pelicans I’m not scared of the pels the Spurs adding CP3 I’m not necessarily scared of that unless they somehow trade for Lori Marin which is also some of the Thunder Arling to uh the Jazz I’m not scared so there’s a bunch of teams out here the sun’s not scared I’m not really scared about the only team I would worry about if I was if you were Thunder fan out there along with me would be the Dallas Mavericks that’s the only team I could see potentially beating us in the playoffs even then in a seven game series I have us winning in six I have us winning in six in a seven game series against the Mavericks this time around now that we have experience and size to this team and speaking of let’s look go ahead and look at what the roster in like salary cap is going to look like for the next few years notice how we have guys locked down for a few years here at least two to three okay you’re looking at it the big numbers here that you’re seeing are Chad and Jay duub those are the big things that you see there as they become free agents not after I say free agent restricted free agents in the next two years I think all these signings like this Isaiah hartstein signing we’ll take a look at it just real quick here boom you see it okay the last op last is a team option if we are serious and have you know don’t have enough room to extend Chad and dub we will re you know we will not accept that team option hartenstein instead use all that money and allocate it to CAD and dub now some other guys I’m noticing here Lou Dort okay he uh I don’t know what that is at the end there I want to say it’s a player option player or team option one of the two uh I’m not for sure what that last year of his contract looks like but he’s locked down till 2027 same with SJ 2027 and we will extend him when we have the opportunity we will extend him uh some other guys Aaron Wiggins like I mentioned five years Isaiah Joe four years Alex cruso right now is just on book for this upcoming season however there are rumors he’s a part of some long-term goals that we will have him on the roster for uh Jay will two more years us two more years as well Cas Wallace three more years uh Kenny hustle three more years so like we have guys locked down for the next 2 to 3 years realistically majority of of this team is locked down for the next 3 years so we’re going to be dangerous our window is opening up now and our window will close in the next five years or so because majority of these guys Chad dub and S we can retain and then having Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe locked down as well that helps us out a ton now going into it there’s still one more move that can be made we have our mid-level exception to use now if we don’t use it I see us offering it to Alex cruso and extending him a a little bit since we now will have the opportunity to do that instead of having to wait in the regular season and see if we trade someone or make some room that allows us to that use that midlevel exception to extend him and then all it relies on is okay are we going to have room after Isaiah har Isaiah hartensteins team Isaiah har and Stein’s team option all right are we still going to have room when we accept that to extend chat and dub or we’re going to have to decline that one to keep chat and dub that’s what it would come down to but if we use this mid-level exception there’s one guy I have my mind eye on that I think going be a perfect fit it’s another New York guy it’s another Nicks guy precious aoua all right and he’s decent I think he could come in and has the potential to be a starting four for us and move Isaiah hartstein to the bench that way we have one of the best benches in the league and we’re very deep but when you look at this power forward he’s 68 24 years old he’s about to be 25 he’s still young he hasn’t quite reached his prime yet but he averaged eight points a game and six boards for the Knicks as we know we need some rebounding help Isaiah hartenstein ste’s going to help us out with that but this 6. from the 68 power forward and impress aoua and he didn’t really start for the Knicks all that much would be great for us it would be great I think he has potential to be a starter for us I think he could all right uh block a game uh about half a steel game less than two turnovers game which is great less than two foul a game which is great and 50% from the field his three-point percentage not the greatest at 27% but we have some great shooting coaches down here in OKC that I feel like that could help him out and if you give him open shots I feel like he could knock him down I feel like he can knock him down however I I think this would be a great budget option for us to kind of get on the team I truly feel like this would be a great mid-level exception a guy that’s probably going to be worth $6 million for us to spend it on and obtain if we aren’t going to trade for anyone if we aren’t now it looks as though we potentially could with Lorie Markin and Bobby Porter supposedly on the train Market however if we’re not going to Target them or we can’t get them for some reason we uh deal would never be able to get worked out he would P precious would be a great option for us to go and get on a budget it would it very much would and I think you could come here for a two to threee deal for us two to three year deal I realistically a three-year deal would be nice because it’s such minimal money that it shouldn’t affect dubs and Chets you know new contracts all that much along with sga’s new contract it shouldn’t affect it all that much so I think it’d be a great option but I’m also interested in guys that you guys see out there right now that could also be great options at the four for us out in free agency in the moment as there are some decent options there along with Caleb Martin who’s not really a four he’s more of a three but could be an interesting choice on the team so let me know in the comments some guys that you like us to see sign with this mid-level exception or would you rather just kind of chill and use that mid-level exception to extend kuso let me know down in the comments and I’ll see you guys in the next video

  1. Kendrick Williams to the Spurs for a 2027 first and 2 seconds
Unfortunately he’s kinda blocked with The Harristan contract and Osumane Deing looking to get Playing time he’s Kinda Blocked
And for the Spurs Williams can play a key rotational role and the 2027 first I don’t believe will be a big deal because they push the button to contend with 2 lottery picks in next years draft
