TRADE Incoming? Miles McBride Could Be Moved To Facilitate MAJOR Move… (TKR Live) | Knicks News

Duce McBride we know that the Knicks made sure they retained him in that Mel Bridges deal they did that for a reason because they saw his impact last season he was one of the best players we had off of the bench he was shooting threes he was playing lock down defense he was doing everything you wanted him to see so the Knicks retaining him for me I love to see it in my opinion right now his value is basically a first round pick that’s his value and he is still young he can still develop he can still play very well and add other things to his game I want the Knicks to retain miles miles Duce McBride and I want him to stay on this team because if he stays on this roster the Knicks are going to maximize its impact trust me when I say that unfortunately though According to some reports he might be on the trading block because according to uh Fred Cass of the athletic the Knicks are still working out this Mel Bridges deal they’re still working out the money and if they’re looking to work out the money the only only way they can do that is if potentially they add other players to the deal let’s break down these reports before we talk about deuce and potentially him being added to that Mel Bridges deal and him leaving the Knicks I know it’s a crazy situation I’m not saying the Knicks are going to do that I’m just saying these are the reports that we have right now but let’s continue according to Fred cats of the athletic of course the deal for Bridges is not official yet the Knicks have searched for ways to add money to the trade in the two days since a agreeing with the Nets according to League sources tossing in one minimum salary would not fill in the difference between Bridges who makes 23.3 million and bonovich who makes 19 million the Knicks would still be hard Capa at the first apron if they included let’s say Jericho Sims with boan bogdanovich adding two or more minimums would not be legal because this is the NBA where frustrating collective bargaining quirks dis ow all of your best trade ideas the Knicks are trying their best at this point in time to include as much as they can in the trade without including core significant pieces miles McBride right now for this Knicks team is a core piece we all know that he’s played like one he looks like one and clearly his impact in the playoffs sometimes being better than Dante de vinchenzo we all saw that right he’s made a name for himself and that’s why I want the Knicks to Ain him but as we continue here you can see why the Knicks may have to include him in the deal and not because they want to just because of cost shout out to Fred cats again for giving us more information here the team did discuss the possibility of including miles McBride in the Mel Bridges trade and not because they are itching to trade away the 23y old but because of the contract only 13 million over the next three seasons again he has a small contract but it’s math if the Knicks wanted to the Knicks could find a third team to Route McBride to acquire a future first round pick in the process and avoid the first apron hard cap his salary plus bonovich would just barely top Bridges but according to Fred Catz they have since shied away from that scenario so again according to multiple sources the Knicks at one point in time was considering including Duce McBride in the deal for Mel Bridges and again maybe they still could the money makes sense there even though it’s small if they did that they would still barely be able to afford Bridges and not have to worry about any type of hard cap at the first apron they would still make other moves they would still likely be in the second apron but still have a lot more money to operate with so we have to understand that that’s why the Knicks would likely make one of these moves but again do SMI bride according to Fred Katz here the Knicks are not looking anymore to include him in that type of trade scenario iio that means the Knicks know exactly what we know you can’t include deuce deuce is loose Deuce hearing that in the entire Arena hearing every every single fan every Nick fan in MSG scream Deuce when he lets go of that three ball it’s just music to my ears the Knicks know he’s a fan favorite but it’s not only that it’s not only because he’s a fan favorite dece McBride actually has an impact especially Off the Bench he can’t run a unit he’s not a point guard I can’t call him that but as a two guard lock down defense can shoot threes can drive to the basket he’s strong let me take you back to a playoff game do you guys remember when it was Tyrese Maxi versus miles Duce McBride in the paint they were fighting for a ball and then Duce grabs the ball from Maxi takes it out of his hands and then throws Maxi to the floor and scores anyway and Deuce is a little bit short than Maxi and he doesn’t look as big as Maxi but you know what that night he played bigger than him he looked bigger than him in that moment and that’s the type of player that you need you need a player like that a player that can come in come in right away have an impact shoot threes have high level defense and be able to play the thoto system miles McBride does that that’s why it doesn’t surprise me or shock me that the Knicks didn’t want to include him in the Mel Bridges deal and likely why they won’t they’re going to try to find other ways to get around this and for me the only way to do that is to trade Mitchell Robinson again I’m not advocating for it I love Mitch I love his impact when healthy but if we’re looking to build a contender and I’m looking at the entire roster who sticks out think about it Mitchell Robinson his contract the fact that you can sell other teams that he is a very good Defender when healthy he could likely get you a lot of value back right now and that value can help your team in the future and if you retain iHeart you’re not hurting as much you still have Sims Off the Bench potentially you can sign a vet for me you sign googa either way there are other options out there there are other quality bigs out there you could go after a number of different players add them to this team and make sure we’re still good Off the Bench and not have to worry about potentially paying somebody 14 to15 million a year and not know how many games he’s going to be available for that’s the risk you run with Mitchell Robinson I don’t care how good he is when available when available gets less and less each year who’s going to start acknowledging that who’s going to start admitting the fact that Mitchell Robinson just can’t stay healthy the Knicks need to trade them need to either get assets back or get a significant piece back that they can use moving forward that’s the only thing they should be worried about and focused on right now other than that they shouldn’t be thinking about trading Duce McBride they shouldn’t be thinking about any other type of players they should also be thinking about resigning iHeart that’s another major part there I want to go over to another video that we have actually and um this is showing Duce McBride Duce McBride actually recently had surgery on his toe his left Pinko if you guys didn’t know so he had surgery on that Pinky and because of that he actually had a couple of commitments that he had to go to couple of basketball camps now other players if they were injured and just had surgery on your your pinky toe you wouldn’t do any of those things but Deuce built a little bit differently shout out to Deuce let’s take a look at what he was doing here so basically he can still go to the basketball camp with all the kids so he’s going to this Camp seeing all the kids still doing his actual things that he was committed to do but he’s injured just had surgery on that pinky toe but it doesn’t matter to him all that matters to him is the kids and making sure he goes there for them you got to appreciate dece McBride for that man love him for that love that we have a player like dece that’s willing to do things like this because let’s face it not a lot of players not many players would actually go ahead and go out and do commitments like this after you get surgery it’s so easy to get somebody to replace you and say well listen I can’t go there anymore but Deuce is not built that way man you got to love it if you enjoy these clips from the live
