we’re talking about the goat Paul George uh PG-13 signing a four-year T you should qualify that because some people might really believe that and some some that’s why he says it some people Brandon Miller’s goat but say Brandon a couple other people said it too Brew wild wild I don’t want them thinking we think he’s the goat but some people think he’s the goat yeah I mean you’re goat it’s just such ridiculous oh yeah sorry uh he’s teaming up with embiid and Maxi Maxi also got a new deal some numbers for embiid’s uh kind of new Squad his running mates here pretty good get some scoring gets uh Paul George had great shooting last year title odds now Boston Denver Philly jumps into a tie with OKC followed by the Knicks and the Wolves oh man that Knicks tenure at number three odds was shortlived so Vegas has them second in the East does anyone here have them at one anyone at all even though Derek white also extended with the Celtics he was already on the team that’s not addition no people do care people are less interested Wilds in players who are already on a team extending because it’s not new and fresh you know this of course and that’s why it wasn’t in the showed and then you just a minute before the show you’re like why aren’t we doing more on Derek white um so here’s the thing I have openly and repeatedly chastised Chris brousard for whether it be about his beloved Clippers the Nets the Jets of late prefacing things with just any team’s mind any I say com just just just wait me wait a moment prefacing it with if healthy if healthy when those are teams who have you have a real sample oh to doubt their health I thought it’s fasile logic and reasoning with that said here we go if healthy yes I like the Sixers the most of anyone in the East okay I I we have seen how difficult it is to repeat in the modern NBA we also acknowledge that what we have in Philadelphia in embid we have never in league history seen a player of his caliber never go on a deep playoff run he’s the only MVP ever to not make it to at least round three and all but two others have made it at least to the finals you know what I mean let alone win it you then add to it that the Sixers are now and I understand King of the Hill is not gospel but I’m just going to show it as a general I understand but you but you agreed with the general a lot of the general parameters of it we can show King of the Hill real quick they are the only team with three guys in the top 25 with the and the only other team that you could make an argument for is Boston they’re the only one with three in the top 25 and as far as embiid Maxi and Paul George cuz Beal’s not right because Beal’s not even close to that in my opinion a lot of teams have two guys you know what I mean and the Celtics have two guys that are very high and then you could argue if you want to say drew yeah Drew is on the bottom row here well yeah but that’s not the top 25 he’s like 28 wait is D here Derek white was one of the people trying to get up there but again so the Celtics Drew is down there but he’s not in the top 25 so that no he’s not the he’s not left to right but if it were he’d be 27 um so the point that I’m making is I like the fit Brew we talk a lot when we see stars come together does it fit electric point guard that just scored 30 a game in the playoffs dominant 72 Center and do it all Wing who at worst is a dead eye shooter coming off a career high from three that feels like a team that can make the NBA Finals that’s what I’m saying bro I cry foul what do you mean you you like just what you said you always RI me for saying all right and now you going to be healthy this year I do I will say this good move by darl m m all right now I don’t know if PG went there like this is it this is the only place I’m getting my $200 million I mean it really didn’t seem like he wanted to go there I thought the B off one like sh he he just didn’t seem that enthusiastic what do you want him to do he want when when when he’s there with embiid laughing you’re joking hey you’re saying there’s already stri come get me come Jo come get me it’s what he said no he didn’t he he did a little bit like here this no embid did just sat there on I’m just saying but anyway and now I think that’s where Philly’s report I think that’s where the reports of Philly came they not interested cuz they felt like man he don’t want to come here he’s coming for the money I don’t blame I’m not mad at all right look I like the move cuz they it’s a great f is perfect thank you’ve got a point guard you’ve got a big man allbe it a perimeter oriented one but still big man and a Swingman he’s a obviously a much better upgrade over Tobias Harris and you brought back Kelly UB so like I I like on paper they’re great you got a backup center in Drummond to e remember they Eric Gordon they they got Eric Gordon and the member against the Knicks they died in the non-med minutes and so I don’t think Drummond’s great but he can maybe eat six minutes in a playoff he he is what he is look this is my problem it’s not only if they’re healthy they’re not going to be healthy it’s just me no but that’s it if if either Paul George and more obviously mb’s the greater chance although in the last four years Paul George has played fewer games missed more games than embid yeah but he played pa George missed an entire postseason a couple years ago now I but I agree I think MB is the bigger health risk and I’m I’m telling y’all right now MB will be on the bud list this week oh wow because this is this is they they’ve given you Paul George and now you got Tyrese Maxi Joel yeah if your help if you can promise me that embiid and Paul George are going to be you know basic 100 I won’t pick them but I’ll give them a legit chance but right now I because I don’t I’ve never seen we’ve never seen embiid healthy in the playoffs and if he is healthy his production’s gone down I’m going to give him a break and say it’s because he’s usually banged up so I still think give me Boston right now in the East I still will take New York over Philadelphia right now because even though you don’t jayen Brun this he’s not a superstar well he might be top 20 but here’s the here’s the question he’s probably top 20 here’s the question top 20 here’s the question it’s not just embiid and Paul George’s health is do they have that that medal so that’s the we don’t know and I’m we don’t know about Max I think Maxi might be the closer okay he might one the reasons I like him and that’s a question mark and he might be but embiid and Paul George we got questions about their medal sure right when Paul George the one chance they really had I know you’re going to lead this when they when they dropped the 3-1 lead with him in Kawai against Denver in the bubble he shot four for 16 for 10 points in game seven against and MB drops MB drops he had a great run in in when Ka was when they went to the Conference Finals uh and MB we know doesn’t bring it in the playoffs or at least hasn’t yet and I’m saying that’s a question mark too so New York that’s not a question New York going to bring it yeah okay so I got New York ahead of Philly right now and then Milwaukee let’s see what they do we’re not talking about Milwaukee I know we’re not talking about Dereck white but we’re also just not talking about Yan they haven’t done anything we don’t talk about the team they haven’t done anything well that’s the rules of the the first day of free agency we talk about the moves why we say what what do we do about the Lakers they didn’t make the move that’s the problem the problem is that they they needed to and they didn’t all right quickly embiid gets hurt Sixers lose a ton of games do you here’s uh the six record with within without embiid is part of this Paul George acquisition not to keep him afloat when I’m not saying if when embiid misses 10 games 12 games that they don’t and so maybe that if he gets dinged you going to be like you know it’s supposed to be out a week take two yeah you know what I mean all how many months did he have off this year yeah but he came back not F came and got hurt again but he also was not 100% when he came back we saw it we know that I’m just saying he’s never 100 Joelle look I’m pulling for you I believe in you but this this is the time to get it done let’s of our ultimate objective we appreciate the chances we had with Paul they also went on to say they were excited about the opportunities they were afforded including greater flexibility under the new CBA which fans lost their minds well there loved it Brew how will you remember your clippers first of all I’m doing this segment under protest okay why cuz I I I picked them like one year no you picked them literally you picked them literally this year to make the Conference Finals you literally picked is that the championship well it’s the championship it’s the championship every year you Pi they’ve been to the conf here here’s the deal I will remember Bru Clippers like I’ll remember Bru Nets don’t you failure no it’s I I really believe that failure the graphic but failure because of and I’m not guaranteeing they would have won a championship but failure because of injuries how they look when they were fully healthy they only had one year of that and no they failed but that’s one year if if I were to take essentially every player in the history of the game and say how’ he look at one year a lot of guys Luca failed this year doesn’t mean he gonna keep failing Luca’s failure this year would have been the apex of the Clippers franchise history it’s still a failure all right he didn’t I mean in general he didn’t get it done in the championship series I can point to a lot of guys that didn’t do that if I Lebron after Dallas how do he look well after that so I’m just saying you can’t say they failed 2020 in the bubble yes they that was the one chance they had they’re up 3-1 over Denver and they choke and not only did Paul George who I talked about last year last segment Four Points four for 16 Kawai 6 for 22 I think they had 14 points every game blew a huge lead in they they they choked but Kawai is a championship guy has Championship medal so I’m not he had a bad game but my point is after that Kawai I mean the year they went to the Conference Finals he missed the last eight playoff games all right these past two years he’s played four out of 11 playoff games and so I’m saying you can’t you gon to sit here and act like injuries were not a huge the defining factor of their just like with brookly I’m going to go uh I’m a fact guy Brew you know that yeah I just gave and the facts are the facts are it will go down as one of the single worst trades in the history of the league now we can say for that injuries ruined it we can give whatever qualif qualifiers but we can show you what the trade was for five years of Paul George what you gave up was Shay jayen Williams couple rotation guys two more first round picks down the road and a swap next year as well so all of that for what well what did you achieve in the 5 years right that that’s on the the Nets at least had the excuse of our Russian oligarch owner a year in was like screw this I’m out but quickly on that wouldn’t you say the Nets was worth cuz you were getting an old team that that’s that’s why I said one of and not going now the Nets didn’t have nearly as embarrassing marketing campaign Billboards and New Balance commercials but still the here is what they accomplished where it Stacks up to the rest of the League playoff games won 10th it’s a 30 Team league series w three it tied for n9th so I they are like the Andre they have a success level of like the Andre kolinko Jazz oh like hey remember them they had a cool moment they made a one Williams AK-47 more okay so the the Al Horford Hawks like they’re not quite to the level of the why why was it I think it’s more than just injury but that’s fine but what I what I know is that they they look up in NBA L to the demaro Ros and Kyle Lowry Raptors which for a team with as much hype as they had is a little embarrassing I mean look it’s a little embarrassing I I’m not mad at them for going for it the guys got hurt but you went and now you’ve got James Harden and you were afraid to keep going for it and sign Paul George
