If the Raptors don’t add talent this offseason I don’t think they have enough margin for error

Hornets look decent on paper
kpeds45
I think it’s us. We will be better than you all hope we are.
beefJeRKy-LB
Us or the Hornets. And if the Hawks move Trae, possibly both teams.
noronto
I’m dumb enough to believe if healthy, the Raptors should be a .500 team.
ZoroChopper10
I think it’s pistons, jb bickerstaff and Tobias Harris are good floor raiser moves
ZoroChopper10
Reminder the team that was play in the hawks, won the lottery this year
Cheechers23
It’s not a ridiculous notion to think the Raptors are the best team on that list. Hornets could be better but I don’t think it’s wild for someone to think Toronto is the best team there.
Health will also be a factor though.

Us. IQ, Gradey, RJ, Scottie, Jak is the best 5 out of those teams (assuming Demar leaves). Pistons: Ivey, Cade, Ausar/Holland, Tobias, Duren…not better, Wizards/Nets…Tanking from the start of the season, Hornets: Lamelo and Mark Williams too injury prone.

I just feel like with 4 games against the Atlantic division our strength of schedule is going to be dramatically tougher
BubblyPhilosophy3476
na rather tank the year for a top pick and then start trying to make play in etc. We need one more high talent piece
Eastern-Technology84
Out of all those teams, Scottie should be the best player, and we definitely have the best roster- so it would be a bit concerning if we were worse than any of them.
JustChillFFS
Ergh…. If we have to..
whiter_kid
I think it’s going to be us only because we are entering the later years of a tank/rebuild and the other teams aren’t really as far along as we are in the rebuild timeline
_iTurtle
Imagine our rookies and two-ways become bench mob 2.0 (let me dream okay)
GuessableSevens
Why is our fanbase obsessed with mediocrity. Making the play-in pretty much locks us into mediocrity, this team as constructed will never have a ceiling above a 1st round playoff series win.
There’s like 4 all-nba upside players in the draft and now this is the year this sub wants to make the play-in? Why not just finish 6th last and give ourselves a 42% chance to completely change the future of the core?
vis-major
My prediction is that in the upcoming season Raptors will be better than Wizards, Nets, Bulls, Pistons, Hornets, and Hawks if our main players remain relatively healthy throughout the season. Raptors will make the play-in as a 7-8 seed.
Majestic_Funny_69
It’s all about Scottie. Does he improve again or level out with more overall responsibilities? If he continues to improve and make others better, we might be right there.
Prestigious-Clock-53
Also, hawks might be quite bad too. The logical thing for them to do now would be to deal trae.
KillerMemestarX
Wizards and Pistons are bottom feeders and the Bulls and Nets are in the process of blowing things up. The Hornets have a solid chance of losing Bridges, and Lamelo’s yearly injury is almost guaranteed. Hell, the Hawks look like there’s a chance they might blow it up, or at least be worse. I think we’re at the very least in the bottom half of the play-in. If there’s some teams that are noticeably unlucky or the young guys grow more than expected we could do even better.
larrylegend1990
Isn’t it better to tank than make the playins
Physizist
Not to mention Hawks who were just 36-46 and just traded away Murray
TheLast_Noel
Cleveland / Miami for the 7/8 slot probably, Raps are likely best team left after that. Bulls are shambles, Charlotte is a ?, rest of them are behind on talent or tanking.
Jas--24
That is sad and now the way we should want to return back to contention. This team needs more high end talent and the draft is the only reasonable solution to that unless Masai pulls off a massive trade.
ProdigyMayd
Raptors aren’t a bottom team. If Barnes didn’t get hurt, and RJ didn’t miss time – raptors were going to win a lot of games.
OG_Wan_Annunoby
Even if we are the best team of that group (and we probably are) I dont think the 10th seed is a good enough reason to prioritize winning this season.
Let Gary walk, let Brown walk, maybe even entertain a Poeltl trade if something favorable arises. We got a nice little influx of young talent at positions of need, lets run them out there and see what we got this season and hopefully add a high lottery pick to the mix in what looks to be a stronger draft.

it’s gonna be fun lol

It’s going to be tight. Injuries will be key in determining who is the best in that group (or less worst). I could see any team as the best and the worse . But I would not be surprised if it’s as following : Raptors, Bulls, Pistons, Hornets, Wizards and Nets . Also I would add Atlanta to that group as currently arguably the leader of that group. Compare to last year I expect Pistons , Wizards , Hornets and Raptors to have more wins. I expect Chicago, Nets to be down. Hawks as the wild card and what will happens with Trae Young !
