There’s one move left to make this the perfect offseason…

If we bring back X Man I will personally start building the Brad Steven’s statue outside the garden TOMORROW

Honestly would not expect it at this point for anything more than the minimum. The tax gets very expensive very quickly.

I just cannot believe I’m 26 and older than this dude. Fucks me up

Honestly he’s more valuable as a resign as a trade asset than he is an actual contributor. His bird rights gives us the ability to sign him to a deal for greater than the minimum… which is then squarely a contract that is a huge trade asset for us in terms of matching money to bring in someone at somepoint during the life of it. And if you rank contracts that can be put in that category, his will be squarely behind someone’s like Pritchards etc. the thing is, he probably knows that too and would rather have atleast some say in where he commits too.

I mean at this point, can’t we see if Rondo has a run left in him?

Unfortunately, I think the fact that DWhite and Tatum got their extensions today is a pretty good indication that X will not be returning. Generally, they hammer out all of the smaller deals first in order to have a clear financial picture while negotiating the larger ones. Another good indicator is that Luke and Neemy already got their deals. Obviously, anything’s possible, but it’s probably time to start tempering our expectations.

The perfect offseason would be bringing back Marcus Smart
