Houston Rockets Sign Aaron Holiday My Thoughts!!

yo what’s going on guys this Houston Sports Talk Back another video today and today the Houston Rockets have struck their first deal of free agency the Rockets are bringing back Aaron holiday I love this deal for the Rockets bringing back Aaron holiday point guard to the mix oneyear 10 million doll deal for Aaron holiday who played 78 games with one start for the Rockets last year he was terrific uh with a Rockets team that was a terrible or not a terrible but not a great three-point shooting team last year percentage wise uh Aaron holiday was one of the bright spots for this Rockets team at the three-point shot and to have him back even though this Rockets team has already improved on some three-point shooting uh you know holes this off season drafting Reed Shepard and and and trading for AJ Griffin I love the signing of of you know or the resigning of Aaron holiday 78 games one start over 16 minutes per game with the Rockets last year 44.6 field goal percentage from three he shot 39% which was the best on the team by far he averaged seven points per game to assists per game and two rebounds per game I really love this reedition for the Rockets I feel like there was a and this was reported Aaron holay had a hot market and was not expected to come back but the rocket still managed to bring him back look as for some saying it’s an overpay uh which I might partially agree on that but honestly in my opinion the way I feel about it is the Rockets are kind of paying for you know to to keep him on this team cuz there were a lot of out outside interest I believe in Aaron holiday and you’re looking at next season of him potentially not being in the rotation like he was this year this year he was blessed to be in the rotation he only missed four games played 78 games with one start and that wasn’t really expected Rockets got injured a little bit early in the season and Men Thompson got injured tar een was injured early in the season I think eventually jant Tate would get injured early in the season and you know kind of short-handed you know a guy like Aaron holiday who was not expected to get a lot of minutes stepped up and played great and when when everybody got healthy when a men Thompson got healthy J shant tayen tar een got healthy which eventually tar een would not get healthy he’d eventually get hurt again but when a men Thompson and Jan Tate got healthy you know with amen Thompson being a point guard Aaron holiday could have been forced out of the rotation like he was supposed you know like it was expected to you know but he shot so good for the rockets and shot so well from three Oka who wants this team to be a good three-point shooting team really couldn’t or or wanted to take out Aaron Hall of this rotation so he kept him in there but I’m afraid that this time this time come around if the Rockets don’t you know get short-handed due to injuries which obviously I don’t want to see happen Aaron holiday is going to find himself it’s G to find I think he might find himself having a hard time to get back in the rotation because you’ve added Reed Shepard someone who uh will get good minutes for this Rockets team I I don’t know uh I think amen Thompson’s going to get more minutes at the backup point guard this year if he stays healthy so um look Aaron holiday definitely can get minutes and take advantage if you know the Rockets or down a couple players but um right now I think this is a depth signing for this team and I really I really hope that the Rockets use him at a at a you know at a good length because he’s a great three-point shooter this team wants to you know this team wants to be good at three-point shooting and you know they’ve done they’ve made sure to do that this off season drafting Reed Shepard who shot 53% at Kentucky from three uh resigning Aaron Holiday from uh who was on this team last year he’s a 38% career three-point shooter shot 39% with the Rockets last year and then obviously drafting AJ Griffin someone who I believe shot 38% in his rookie year so Rockets won improved three-point shooting they’ve also want addressed improving defense with bringing in AJ Griffin and Reed Shepard let me know your thoughts on the signing for the rockets in the comment section and peace out
