all I’m saying so let’s talk about the other big news coming out of California Klay Thompson’s time with the Warriors has come to an end as the four-time champion is reportedly headed to the Mavs on a three-year $50 million deal so latest update says it’s a straight three-year deal with no player option it will be a signing trade with terms of that still being worked out so according to wge uh Klay had some fouryear offers from other teams around the league that he felt would not be competitive enough to acquire Services he was also a fan of Texas not having what state income tax I believe so he gets to keep a little bit more of his bread but Clay Thompson’s time with the Warriors now done Warriors sign and trade yeah I think they’ll be working they’re working out the terms now just ask him just asking if we sign him could have paid him more do we have to trade him no it’s a sign and trade so that means he got to sign first if I decide not to trade him what happens so G it’s a sign and trade yeah so you you don’t sign if your trade is not agreed to previously so you can hold me hostage and say that I’m not going to do this trade for you we not letting you leave because now we know the value you can’t just trick me into signing I’m just saying we know the value now I like him at this 350 we’ll give you we’ll give you 3 for 51 clay I like no I like this 350 right here you know what I mean I thought he asking for a little bit more so uh was principal at this point it is the principalities so good as you point out Kay was offered a twoyear $48 million deal last off season didn’t take it now he’s headed to the defending Western Conference Champion Dallas MZ where he will team up with lucad Don Kyrie Irving do you think a change of scenery will Revitalize clay yeah I don’t I don’t even want to say I think what kay did last year was let’s just say that was the bottom end of what he could have did right um contract on the line right playing with his own head right he wasn’t he wasn’t he wasn’t there mentally and he still average 18 right he still he still averaged 18 points a game and that was probably the worst of what we can see from clay shooting percentage just just the play itself um I thought the move was it was needed right to really see what your value is and he gambled on himself and it it didn’t really take a pay cut in a sense right it didn’t it didn’t really hurt him right 3 year 50 2 year 48 right he he lose what four 3 million a year but you got to work extra year I mean 3 million a year and you’re in a better situation happier situation more bread too with the with the the state income tax variable on I mean that’s I said it it probably evens itself out in a team owner you know take care of him I’m pretty sure he probably didn’t want to leave but you know sometimes when somebody pulls um cause your bluff sometimes you got to call it back and I think this is what this was yeah some obvious frustrations from his part with that franchise OB Draymond got his bread everybody else seem to be getting taken care of Klay came back obviously missing those two years did solid in that championship year struggled a little bit this year but by his standards still had a a solid year so that’s what I said we I mean the Warriors has been cooked since the punch let’s be honest I they they’ve been the dynasty has been the dynasty has been over since that punch died nasty so it just it just took a whole lot out of the team and I don’t think they ever they ever been right since then either so so um yeah I think it’s I mean I think it’s a good move for clay a got nothing to do with the roster huh you know what it was it was that what where where where Golden State had a where they had a chance to just like be in front of the curve is when they had that number two pick and James pick James wise because your team was hurt and all those Superstars was coming back and you had a chance to put somebody in that was young enough to keep you float and it was just you mismanaged that so they said went with a guard I think you should have picked lello ball yeah it should have been yeah because you could have had him in Step at the because he’s tall enough to guard twos imagine him come passing that [ __ ] to step the way he passed that [ __ ] right right right right right him clay think about just all the passes he would he pull it in Isaac oore Patrick Williams Oh Patrick Williams went four Isaac oore went five it was KJ’s draft MH so you know I know yeah so basically Lamar I mean lamelo is basically L was would have been the guy cuz there was no ant there was no reason I mean obviously if Ant-Man would have slipped but there wasn’t yeah yeah but those are the things that you got to really but I guess at that time they probably thinking big man B not wouldn’t like though yeah I mean [ __ ] played one game in college and Memphis though it wasn’t trust me man oh he was Memphis it was all high school heypee man little bit more about this clay Warrior situation uh sad in didn’t want to see the Warriors Dynasty go out like this yes I’m pleased a little bit but It Hurts So before PG signed with the Sixers there was a report that the warriors were looking to land them in a signing trade with the the Clippers and we’re willing to give PGA four-year max deal Steph and Draymond reportedly 100% on board with bringing PG to the Bay not 85% not 62 100 Clippers were unwilling to do the trade but just looking at clay situation four time Champion everything he’s meant to that franchise and organization coming back from from two devastating inuries to help the team win their Championship the fourth in his tenure did the Warriors do clay dirty knowing what we know now right the 3 year 50 it would have cost y’all what three year if they would have probably win if they would have started he’s on what 3 years 60 3 years 65 maybe he would have took it you know I let’s let’s just be honest when when it’s in real time if when when when you’re there in real time it’s more loyalty than actually what I’m asking for right IID rather you say 3 or 60 and you know if you want to give back to you know players let him make that decision versus you know lowballing them and saying you know it’s it’s you know let’s negotiate they’re just some people you don’t supposed to negotiate with yeah they’ve done so much negotiating is not is not fair right is and negotiating with him wasn’t yeah let’s let’s sit down and have a real conversation let’s come up with a number we both comfortable with where we don’t feel like you taking advantage of and you don’t feel like you being taken advant of that’s what the conversation should have been yeah right instead of this is our number we’re not budging take it a leave it that ain’t right like that’s like you shouldn’t get him like that ultimatum like I mean like that’s yeah that’s you don’t do that so two for 48 last off season I guess felt disrespectful at that time Kay was coming in making like 43 this year but now hindsight no but you got but it’s the same thing we’re talking about right now right with the PG and kawhai thing you get you paid Draymond you gave Draymond that [ __ ] I’m I’m he socks some but I’m no [ __ ] that I’m God I’m I’m a bucket I’ve averaged more points than him I’ve done this and we don’t do none of this without me so I fought back through all this to get back here to to help us win again and and this is yeah this [ __ ] say [ __ ] than I get yeah he was for real Splash Brothers yeah it’s the same [ __ ] like looking at it like slap in the face man disrespectful it’s very disrespectful and like you said certain guys with certain organizations this it’s never a negotiation should never be about that it shouldn’t be about the money that cuz what I’ve helped bring in MH it ain’t nowhere near what what I’m asking for MH so it’s foul on the Golden State Warriors behalf and I I and and and why why we and why I I I say it’s disrespectful in the sense is I was hurt I was offered by the general manager uh 6 years 86 million I slid that paper over smooth too I had it and I was like yeah you know Golden State already offered me the max right cuz Baron Davis left and then my the the owner a you know me rest in peace on the phone and said hey whatever they said last night that has nothing to do with me the max is yours uh whatever that number is it’s yours and you figure out what you want to do with it click damn all right you know what I mean do what you want to do with it right you want to take all of it or you want to get whatever you want to do with it so it’s like all right so now you know I’m calling teammates when your contract you know what I mean you gave me the responsibility ability to to be a good teammate and and be a franchise guy right you offered that to Clay and you gave him that decision he was going to make the right decision I mean it’s it’s it’s I I think sometimes when when everybody is not meat right everybody is not product let me ask you a question I just think that you saying is when the whole thing went down with Draymond and KD you think they made the wrong decision then yep you say if they would have stuck with KD and tried to move Draymond at that point looks whole it looks way different with I’m a and that’s a good one having KD would have kept the chances of winning championships very very high right you know you move Draymond Green out and you keep KD and it’s been KD clay and Steph this whole time you know two more they have two more maybe even three depending on you know what other pieces they put around so so yes yeah because you can’t count all three them dudes being out at once yes so yeah it would have been it would have been smarter because you you can’t replace like I know you can’t replace what Draymond brings to that team but you can’t replace someone like Kevin Durant can’t right it’s not you know just when you think about it you can’t you can’t mimic that Talent um and most likely they could have and should have won two three championships just with the three right just the the three of them and at this moment in time you know and he was taking [ __ ] pay cuts too like like KD was taking pay cuts for that for the roster like people didn’t realize how much money he was leaving on the table right so you know he you know you know he has he has so much money you know that he’s making from other things that you know he was taking pay cut oh yeah you pay him first I’ll take whatever’s left over [ __ ] like that so I mean if you put it like that then yeah [ __ ] it ain’t really his fault why he why he kept when he left n it it was it was one of those man as as just a player coming into someone that’s already built something and you want to be you want to be felt like you a part like I’m it’s us right it is nah [ __ ] this is boys only you know what I mean [ __ ] like that two time Finals MVP over this [ __ ] so I got something to hang this on godamn it and and that’s the and and the think about it two time finals MV two times champion and you still don’t feel wanted still yeah but it’s by one person it’s only by one person so you then you you that’s the leader huh that’s the leader is he the leader though but you also you had Steve C was cracking jokes during the championship parade I mean it was you know no we know about KD it just feels like there was some stuff going on behind the scenes to your point yeah I mean everybody I get it was still step’s team but I just came here one two chip two finals MVPs like just like anything man you want to feel like you’re a part of it if you don’t feel like that everybody is like appreciating you yeah like y’all appreciate what I’m doing all right cool you know I can go ahead but his personality is like yeah is that though long as you appreciate what I’m doing on this floor that’s that’s what he like he don’t want nothing else and that’s it’s more and that’s him like he wants like I’m really good at basketball appreciate me for my craft I’m just here watching film and playing and that’s what and I so that feeling is weird to me like him not him feeling that way is weird to me yeah because we’ve seen you and we’ve heard the words like we’ve seen the things that you say what you about you ain’t the spotlight it ain’t the line you don’t want none of was on the wall now let me go get this black light so I can read it clearly so clay 3 years 50 to the Mavs there’s also report that the Lakers offered him four years for 80 mil he declined he did everything I just said about clay take it back take it back [ __ ] take it back standing and SN 4 years for 80 mil declin he could have been on the e I’ll take this the wrong way but you got the Mavs coming off of just making the finals in his mind if I want to stick it to the Warriors they present the best option just based on how this past season played out or or y’all been y’all been struggling to get in for the last few years you guys been 7even SE for the past two years who huh been been in the playoffs every year your purple and gold they just change the rules and make it seem like we barely getting in we’ve been getting in we’ve been getting in fresh s that eight is the one you got to worry about s so stupid to me you shouldn’t have to be fighting for your playoffs lives at seven dog you shouldn’t no you fine with eight I feel like eight only way eight well eight yeah yes eight and nine if it’s a tide eight and N that’s only way it should be a playoff I’m playing situation history to see how far seventh was from 10th they shouldn’t even be in the same building yeah so the fact that I got to jeopardize what I did all season for a team who done [ __ ] off all season you have 35 wins in tent dog and 35 wins and we should be and the team that’s in [ __ ] 50 they got 55 wins in seventh right and I got a play I got to play I got to play you and you can possibly get hot boat I think he’s 300 miles away from the Gulf of Meo so therefore he there’s there’s plenty of L lakes in Dallas that he fish and all that there’s there’s a few of them but nothing like Marina del in the Pacific Ocean the vast Pacific but we offered them full year 80 that was crazy I don’t believe it but last question on these Warriors that was our Championship right there we think about the the Warriors Dynasty obviously clay Steph Draymond instrumental one of my favorite big threes how will the Warriors big three be remembered [ __ ] that’s Champions it’s a dynasty Man four time the dynasty Champions um yeah I mean they are Dynasty yep broke the Bulls record yes uh I mean I think when it’s all said and done though they going to be looking like Shaq and Kobe wishing they could have stayed together at the end like they could have got eight which them three yeah yeah I think breaking up the dast and everything would happen I think they wouldn’t have W no more who you think this Warriors team stayed together it was still dynasty was over either dynasty was over either way their best option to sustain the dynasty was yeah making a they got four they wouldn’t win win yeah yeah they got they four yeah they wouldn’t winning another one with them three as they main guys yeah they snuck one in there in that 2021 right that’s that 22 that 22 Yeah they snuck that one they snuck that one in you know no wasn’t no one was expecting that one so you know man them boys did what they they did what they did I mean the only person they should have five though they should no I mean if they kept KD oh yeah if they kept KD well the one where Draymond got suspended well then that’s the one but then the first one they won shouldn’t have been theirs either you know so if um so you know they get they they get they they got their four um I’m pretty sure one of the three is going to get another one somehow going to sneak one probably probably clay n Dallas a went on goddamn Championship why not all right all right not playing ISO ball every time yeah no got to run set you see how close it wasn’t in the finals you know so uh yeah um pretty sure to be probably if I had to put my money on that Draymond yeah it’ll probably to be Draymond and sneak another championship what I say too cuz he can go he can go and fit in yeah he can go and fit in with a team and just be that glue guy to put it all together you trading you trading Curry I mean it’s going to be one of those like they I need everything somewhere in Al Kobe rout Dr go somewhere in Al Horford that thing yeah yeah oh yeah that’s so Draymond still has two years left on his deal in a player option 2026 for 27 million but money by that point not going to be that much bread comparatively to what the Cap’s going to look like at that point so wo boys getting them bags unfortunate day for warriors fans uh Lakers fans as well we were trying to take clay from you
