BREAKING: Detroit Pistons SIGN Tobias Harris For Two Years!

BREAKING: Detroit Pistons SIGN Tobias Harris For Two Years!

the Detroit Pistons and Tobias Harris have agreed to a 2-year $52 million deal to bring him back to Detroit a team he WS once a part of years ago and I I know a lot of people have mixed opinions about this you know thinking man $26 million per year for two years that seems like a lot of money and I I I think in general for Tobias Harris you’re thinking yeah he ain’t worth it but we have to keep two things in mind one you’re the worst team in basketball so there’s that all right you’re you’re not going to just pump your chest out and dictate what free agents are worth because you’re the Pistons uh no you stink so if you’re going to pay anybody you have to give them more money than they would sign for elsewhere that’s a very obvious thing to think about now the other thing would be he helps a need right away he can shoot the basketball he can start right away at the fourth spot he helps space the floor which we always talk about how can we help Kate Cunningham well you bring in a guy who’s close to to a 40% three-point shooter with high attempts by the way and someone that is efficient someone that’s not a complete liability on defense and I think this helps jadeen Ivy this helps Kate Cunningham and this helps the rest of the roster uh he’s a older more experienced guy he’s not super old he’s like 31 years old but he’s a veteran and when Jay Jay Navy can drive to the basket and kick out to Tobias Harris or Kate Cunningham can drive to the basket and kick out to Tobias Harris that’s a good thing we have to stop you know in our mind thinking well Tobias Harris he’s not you know trying to compare this move to like a championship move you’re just trying to win 30 40 games like that’s the goal here in the next two seasons so Tobias Harris can he help that absolutely he can and I don’t mind the amount he was signed for it’s a short-term deal it’s a two-year deal so he’s not on the books forever and you have a lot of cap space that the Pistons have not spent yet they have $50 million available and they’re giving about half of that to two Tobias Harris and the other half they can find a way to add some more shooting as well so I’m I’m okay with this deal I like it uh he can come in and help your franchise player provide some spacing for the rest of the Pistons not just Cade but also Jay NY like I mentioned and you can start an assar Thompson or Ron Holland next to him because he can space the floor he can shoot uh not only a good percentage but a high clip so you know this does not surprise me at all uh wge tweeted it out a little bit ago uh breaking news and we were posted it on crunchtime Sports which you can follow official CP on Twitter and official CT Sports on all social media platforms but here it is breaking news Detroit Pistons are signing Tobias Harris to a two-year $52 million deal per Adrien wojanowski now I want your guys’ thoughts on this signing because like I said I’m I’m happy with it um I don’t mind it you know Isaiah hartstein signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder that was another player I was interested in but all these free agents that Pistons fans wanted are just dropping like flies signing with with other teams Tobias SS is still on the market so when you look at available free agents he was one of the better available free agents oan and Obi off the market you can’t get him so I have no issue with this deal I don’t and I don’t have an issue with the amount of money either you know they didn’t sign him to a four-year deal it’s two years $26 million and he can come help out your best player and help out the rest of your roster help you win more games like you’re not you’re not going to have a long-term fix in for agency OG would have been nice because if you know the a and if you sign him to a longe deal he can be here for a while but Tobias Harris can come in and help you right now and help these guys grow so that way eventually when he’s off the books you bring in someone else he’s almost like a crutch for the meantime which I have no issue with like not every signing can be this you know he’s going to be with your team for 10 years like it’s okay to have short-term vets that can come in and help you help your your young players off the court on the court like this this makes sense to me and he could shoot and I’m open to that if you can shoot the ball welcome to the Pistons I’m I’m completely okay with that so please comment down below I want your guys’ thoughts you like the Tobias Harris signing you hate it where are you guys at with it uh like I said I like it and I don’t mind the the the the amount of money because I really like the the short-term side of the deal it’s two years like you can live with that it’s not a big deal at all but please comment down below like I said and don’t forget get to subscribe we’re only about 100 away from 8,000 subscribers which is Big Time and everything the Pistons do we will be covering it here on crunch time Sports until next time I’ll catch you guys

  1. We are good enough to compete. We need a Rim protector.

Hopefully we can trade for a rim protector like Clint Capela from Hawks or Mitchell Robinson from the Knicks

  2. I like what has been done so far 2 vet’s that can shoot that have playoff experience( not that we are close to that) but it brings in a playoff mentality expectation from veteran players.

  3. It's a good signing. A tick more than what I hoped they'd have to pay for him, but the Pistons were really bad last season and Tobias had other suitors. He should help floor spacing for the team and could be a tradeable contract come next offseason or the 2025/2026 trade deadline if all goes well.

  4. 8 outta 10. He was on a lot of teams' lists. We got athletic wings and Holland can learn from that. Guys who can go get a bucket

  5. Great signing! A – don't care about how much money we're giving anybody
B – Two year deal for a vet who can shoot
C- we have money to burn

  6. It's whatever. We needed any sort of outside shooting and he can provide that. We won 14games last season and this signing might help us win 25games max and we're just spending money just because we can at this point. I just hope we finally end the 5th pick curse.

  7. Tobias is going to make sure we don't get Cooper Flagg, I hate everything were doing. Ron Holland can't shoot, Ivey can't shoot, Cade can't shoot, Thompson can't shoot, my only hope is Bobi Klintman is a dog and plays right away with his 36% 3 point shooting and everything else he does. If the Texas Rangers can throw Wyatt Langford in the fire, you can with Bobi. I hate everything were doing.

  8. First many of the former Piston players that were traded are doing well! Luke Kennard, Reggie Jackson etc. Kennard right now who was a good 3 point shooter should have been kept. Anyway, Houston won more games last year because the coach got some vets on the team. I do not know why they did not do this last year. I think Monty was so disengaged that he did not put any thought in how to be better. The Pistons need 3 vets who can shoot and let the young guys come of the bench and infuse them into different parts of the game. That alone they will be able to win more games. Last year the Pistons would be winning games and lose because they could not sustain a high level of play. Also, sometimes on the floor they looked confused to me like they did not know what to do.
