[Baraheni] Unless there’s some sort of trade, a 2-for-1 of sorts, or they waive Sasha or Boucher — no more roster spots for GTJ.

  1. I’ll take Sasha over GTJ at the moment, I’d rather hold Boucher until the deadline jf we *really* can’t find a positive value deal (cap relief for a 2nd or something).

The writing is on the wall for Gary.

This roster just needs a starting Wing and than I feel good about going into the regular season, too many guards around 6″4/5, moving Brown for a wing would help a lot

Kind of suprised GTJ still isn’t signed. Is he rumoured anywhere except the Lakers?

Much more likely the Tre-Boucher will be moved to a team that will actually play him. Because he’s actually pretty good, but considering the Raps will want to run their rookies and sophomores more for their development, Boucher can’t be relegated to garbage time again. He’s honestly too good for that and would be better served on a contender as a bench or playoffs bench guy

Huge loss for Raps. Dude was a Walking Bucket.

  6. I wonder where GTJ is going.

The lakers? He was linked to them in the past after all.

At some point the only thing left for him will be a vet min prove-it deal for 1 year. He’s got good size and shooting, someone will take him for sure.

Boucher def gone. We didn’t even play him last year.

  8. The problem with trading Brown/Boucher is simply who can afford to take them. Most of the easy target trash salaries are gone now, and most of the contenders are loaded down with huge salaries/bad contracts we don’t want to touch, like Zach LaVine’s awful deal or Andrew Wiggins’ bad one.

Right now the best option looks to be Chicago, which can send out Lonzo Ball’s final year of salary for a player who can actually see floor time. Brown would complement Chicago well, the Bulls never want to tank, and they could take on both Brown and Boucher’s salaries in the trade. Something like Lonzo + their 2025 first for Brown/Boucher would make sense.

  9. Boucher is gone. Boston wanted him but they couldn’t make the salaries work along with Toronto’s demands (whatever they were at the time I don’t think that was publicized).
