You have to give credit to our ability to pivot tbf, not dismissing all the misses but at least we’ve always been a bit competitive

I mean that’s awesome but the timing of this is…strange.

Always good till it’s bad. In all honesty it feels like a 2 year window to make it happen.

  4. It’s an odd assortment of pull quotes from her 1k word article. 1k words in the article but this person elects to select them two at a time and rearrange them like a ransom note. No paywall on Ramona’s article at last check.

Getting waiver confused with waver is acceptable given the first term is used a lot in sports but yeah

“Embiid not losing patience after sixers acquire third star to play with him.”

    Thanks, ~~Magic~~ Ramona.

This man has dealt with the most insane bullshit imaginable like you actually could not make up some of the nonsense he’s dealt with. All I ask is one single healthy playoff run. We all deserve it

It was all wish seeding by opposing fans and teams trying to manufacture discontent in hopes of manifesting a trade. They all proport to hate embiid but will suck the biggest dick they could to have him on their team.

  9. People keep recycling this talking point of one day Joel wanting out or one day we’d trade him to start over and not for one second have I ever thought that was the remotest possibility. Not sure what world half of you live in but it’s delusional at best. After everything this guy has been through here while always coming back for more, he’s never leaving

Ramona is Joel’s mouthpiece so these quotes are probably legit. Despite all the failures this franchise has endured during the Embiid era, he does seem to genuinely love playing in Philly. Morey has made it clear that Joel is the cornerstone of the franchise and the goal is to build the team around him.

I think Morey gives the PG/Maxey/Embiid core 2 seasons before we entertain the notion of blowing it up and trading Jo Jo if it doesn’t work out.

And please, for the love of whatever gods may be, just let Joel have one post season where he is at least close to 100%. If that requires him only playing half the season so be it. I would rather have the 8th seed with a healthy Joel than a 1 seed with the hobbled Joel we’ve had in every post season year over year.

I think as soon as Maxey made the leap he did in his 2nd or 3rd year and the two of them bonded, all worries about Embiid asking out should’ve been put to bed

  12. We got 2 lifers boys and I couldn’t be prouder for them

Joel said after the 2023 exit that he appreciates the sixers for taking a chance on him when he was injured and with his continuing injuries. He then reiterated his desire for continuity after the 2024 exit.

Joel isn’t going anywhere. Rumors to the contrary have almost always been fueled by New York media outlets hoping to get Joel to the Knicks.

This tweet and post are dumb, but regardless of championships/outcomes, we are so lucky to have an experience like this with Embiid.

When healthy (required preamble for embiid claims), he’s the best player the sixers have drafted in decades, is the best player in the world, and is committed to our team and city. Love this man.

  15. jawntothefuture

Joel has said many times that he wants to be like Kobe or Duncan: 1 franchise player

  16. Plenty_You8835

If we didnt draft Tyrese Maxey he would be sure gone fr

It really is admirable considering the incompetence of our management. I don’t think I’d have the same loyalty personally.

How do people get professional writing jobs and misspell basic words in their articles? It’s “waver”

Pulling out this quote from this story seems, I don’t know, disingenuous and inflammatory . The article and this section are about how most teams don’t get 10 years with a star to build the right team around him unless you have a patient star. It then points out the Sixers have had ten years with Embiid and haven’t put together the right pieces around him, but Joel has been patient and hasn’t given any indications he’s growing impatient.

The general sense of the quote is that the Sixers need to win now because Joel isn’t getting any younger, not that Joel is making demands.

  20. It makes no sense to me- everybody’s here for Sixers content. Here is an article with excellent sixers content free of charge and yet people post dumbass stuff like this
