Saw this coming from a mile away. Great signing for them. Expected loss for the Wolves. At least it wasn’t to go back to Denver.

I think it’s best for both parties

Morris would want to be the backup PG but we want to develop Dillingham as a PG so he would be getting most of those minutes

Not surprised. Seemed disgruntled with his usage during the playoffs on his Twitter. Better opportunity at PHX after Gordon left

I was pretty high on him when we traded for him, and I get that he was coming off an injury, but he always seemed to be a step behind

Figures Phoenix can offer him a bigger role, we probably losing Kyle also

No Monte no JMac no Slow Mo… playmaking is gonna be really grim for this team, to an almost untenable degree. Gotta hope Ant takes a monster leap as a lead ball handler and Dillingham’s playmaking chops are way more advanced than the average 19 year old rookie combo guard

Edit: y’all are absolutely crazy. I love Conley and he’s an excellent floor general, but he isn’t enough. As we so very very plainly last season. No 1 point guard is enough for an entire NBA roster.

He got the same minimum deal there as the Wolves offered; however, he will be playing to get more money next summer, and it’s certainly easier to secure that if you play for a team with no point guards than for a team with two point guards.

Not surprised when I saw the team. They desperately need PG help and he desperately wants more playing time.

  9. Honestly not worried the dude was awful and not in shape last year. With rob being here could care less about not having monte outside of health reasons

Unfortunate… Was out of shape when the Wolves got him due to injury, then got re-injured in the playoffs and didn’t give it his best showing.

Good thing I think Dillingham will be ready and take advantage of his opportunity

This hurts, especially since it was for the minimum. Banking on 37 year old Conley’s health and 19 year old Dillinghams readiness is a risky bet.

Sucks to trade a 2nd for him just see him walk after half a season

Good pickup for Phoenix. Didn’t think he was a good fit here in Finch’s offense. Not great off the ball and not a great playmaker, we probably got a version of him that was ramping up to get back in shape but he was pretty underwhelming.

  14. Surprised he didn’t end up back in Denver tbh, but Phoenix is a good spot for him

  15. LivinForThaCity

Good for him, he’ll get more opportunity over there especially since we drafted Dillingham. Still hoping we can sign a vet guard that can play at times if Dilly isn’t ready or as Conley insurance. Wouldn’t mind an Ish Smith or Reggie Jackson if Charlotte releases him.

    Suns also signing Kris Dunn!

Thats a solid pg rotation alongside the rest of their roster.

Expect Suns to be back in the mix

I really liked him, but understand it made sense for him to move on. All the best Monte

I’m all for anything that will force Finch to play Dillingham or Clark at point more often.

Good, all he did was miss open 3s in the playoffs
