@Atlanta Hawks

[Brad Rowland] The hawks could acquire a free agent (DeRozan, for example) that makes more than the mid-level but it would have be a sign-and-trade atlanta does have matching salary (capela, hunter, etc.) if they wanted to do that and found a deal

Brad doesnt name drop for no reason, we must have Derozen interest.

A derozen rental would be a really good transition piece to compete while our young wings/foward develop.

Wouldnt mind DeRozan IF its a 1-2 year rental. We dont own picks so might as well compete.

derozan for capela + hunter sounds good to me

Lauren Williams retweeted an ESPN video of Woj talking about DeRozan.

Maybe Chicago would be interested in Capela because they lost Drummond and Vucevic was horrid last season.

Bulls laugh and hang up the phone + Demar always saying he wants to play in LA, I think he’s going to the Clips or Lake show

wojespn’s DeMar DeRozan update suggests he may take a **one-year deal** due to a limited market for the salary he desires:

    – **The Bulls are willing to work on a sign-and-trade for DeRozan**, but there doesn’t appear to be much interest on a multi-year deal anywhere.

    – The Lakers are interested in DeRozan, but they would need to make a trade to move around salary beforehand.

Chicago appears ready to let DeRozan walk in free agency as they prioritize a youth movement.

Yes, he’s good player and clutch, but a 34 yo player with 40,000 minutes under his belt? Quite the gamble

DeRozan don’t want to be in Atlanta lol

    >The Heat has expressed interest in Bulls free agent guard DeMar DeRozan, and DeRozan also has interest in Miami, according to two sources with knowledge of the situation. The Heat is among several teams in play for the six-time All Star. But there are still significant challenges that could ultimately prevent a Heat/DeRozan marriage.

Sounds like Derozan is open to playing outside of LA.

Trae, ZR, Derozan (Sign and Trade for Hunter), JJ, OO Bench: Capela, Bogdonvic, Bufkin, Dyson Daniels, Larry Nance….I like it.

So more and more traction on this. Demar is absolutely not a guard anymore, Hunter would likely have to be moved. RIP Deandre Gatherer

    DeMar DeRozan 2023-24

    Post up: 80th percentile

    Isolation: 86th percentile

    PNR: 92nd percentile

    Cut: 87th percentile

Hawks could absolutely run second unit offense through him when Trae is off

If this is a route they might chose to explore

What’s the general consensus? How does the sub feel this makes us better? How does he fit into our lineup?

It would definitely be a great trade for the bulls. They *need* a center to pair with Jalen Smith if they don’t want Vuc. Even if they do keep Vuc, he’s (Jalen) a relatively good PF. Also while I wanted to see how Dre might play with the new lineup, they’d probably take him too. I could see Deandre anchoring Giddey.

I’m shaking my Magic 8 ball and it says………”doesn’t seem likely”

Do not fucking pound your fist trying to trade DJ away for a terrible return and in the same breath want Derozan lol

DeRozan for Capela I approve of. The Bulls aren’t taking on Hunter’s contract anyway unless they can unload LaVine somehow.
