He also says Randle could play small ball 5 minutes and Precious might want to come back. Kessler and Richards being options also makes me feel great that we’re not rolling out mf jericho sims as a backup

  2. Deuce and our 2 protected firsts for Kessler get it done Leon

  3. Things are happening. I am just scared to see what ainge wants for Kessler

  4. Revenesis

I know people are very against trading Deuce, but I’d do it for someone like Kessler. Bring in Jokubaitis and give Kolek some run, I think the bench can survive. The bench unit already has a lot of talent with DDV/Hart.

Really like the Nick Richards option if it’s just Sims and a second or something.

We didn’t trade for Mikal bridges to hoard assets. If you believe Kessler is a difference maker, gotta pay ainge’s price

Kessler seems like another offensive 0 at center though so the small ball lineup is a must

Am I wrong thinking Deuce for Kessler straight up is pretty much dead even? TBH I’d try to get them to take the French kid instead though.

If we are at the “we need to make a deal with Danny Ainge” point now I’d rather just sign Precious and let the first part of the season play out. This is a tough time to be diving into the market.

I’d rather make moves once a bunch of teams hang up the Tank Flag.

  8. Ok-Stretch1022

For once let’s fleece Angie for Kessler.

  9. Direct_Morning_3223

I’d be upset but ok with trading deuce to get Kessler. I don’t burden myself with watching Charlotte play so I don’t know too much about Nick Richards. I’d like to maybe see if Lowry or someone similar would sign for the vet min to be the ball handler off the bench.

Walker Kessler is a really fucking good defender. CraftedNBA has him in the 97% tile in rim defense.

I don’t see how the Jazz wouldn’t extract a kings ransom overpay for a team desperate for a center.

Do the Knicks have another kings ransom in the bank?

  11. Sometimealonealone

We need to trade Deuce for Kessler like today man.. with DDV moving to the bench, Deuce becomes redundant since he’s more of a SG anyway. Trade him and some seconds for Kessler and sign a PG with the MLE

  12. Ok-Side-1758

Whatever the price is I know people are going to be pissed. I’d give up everything we have, (swaps, picks) but I’m not giving up Deuce. That contract is too good

  13. Dragon-Bender

If Nick Richard’s could be had for cheap I think Thibs would really like him solid rebounder and defender

  14. Ronnie2kDropCode

Deuce and picks for Kessler then pick up a vet pg like Lowry?

  15. thirstyman12

Seems like people like Kessler more than Richards? What’s the reasoning there? Just being a better defender?

  16. Pablo_Undercover

Honestly I think we should think bigger, not sure what the rules are around aggregating salaries with where we’re at rn, but we should try shop Mitch Deuce and some srps together to see what that would get us. Assuming we get Precious back

  17. Spare_Advisor_1464

I can’t see the Knicks meeting what Ainge will certainly ask for for Kessler. Richards would also be a good get though. I’m not sure if Charlotte would take a couple 2nds for him but that would be ideal. If not, would the Knicks trade 1 of the 2 protected 1sts we have left?

  18. mattr1198

Kessler would be someone I’d be ok trading Deuce for, then signing someone like Lowry to a vets min to be the new backup. His defense is elite and he’s so young

  19. CopelandAt5

Crazy thought – let’s trust our front office. Leon’s got this. Whatever he does, it’s the right move. He’s earned that from us.

  20. I didn’t watch the Jazz enough last year – why did Kessler seemingly regress from his rookie year? His numbers went down across the board and he only started 22 games on a team starting John Collins at center. I can’t imagine that’s all just due to tanking

  21. DanUnbreakable

Danny Ainge is the GM. He’s going to try to fleece the Knicks.

  22. OhhhTAINTedCruuuuz

If Danny Ainge sends us Kessler for Deuce and picks, Salt Lake PD needs to put out an APB on him, cuz that’s not the real Danny and he’s certainly been replaced by an imposter. 0% chance, a total pipe dream.

    Richards on the other hand…

  23. mikehulse29

Ainge is reading this Kessler stuff licking his chops.

  24. Real-Image5851

give me richards we’d have to give up deuce to get kessler and there’s no way i’m doing that

  25. Now that we’re an apron team, trading for someone on a rookie contract or a long enough vet deal with Bird Rights already attached is super important. Otherwise it could just be the iHart exit all over again. No free agent left is worth giving a 3 year deal to right now.

  26. salesmunn

Knicks went from tight lipped franchise to video poker with the whole world standing behind them.

Close ranks and get some shit done in quiet, I prefer it that way

  27. Swankyyyy

Man, I don’t know that Deuce for Kessler is worth it. Deuce is a proven great defender with a reliable 40% 3 point shot and is locked in on an AMAZING deal. That’s hard to find in this league, especially for contending teams. I would rather roll with Precious as the backup 5 than trade Deuce.

  28. I would like to see what a deal of Mitch deuce and a pick or two could net us on the trade market .

I hate the idea of moving Randle but if we’re half some time into the season and Randle isn’t working out as well , I could see him being packaged . Unfortunately there’s no one out there that would work

  29. spiked_cider

Are they not gonna play Hukporti? I know he’s a rookie but he’s been a pro overseas for years and is in his early 20s. Every report seemed to suggest he was a very good rebounder

  30. teknomatic

i dont really feel like kessler is very gettable. As a backup, i like nick richards though and it seems like it would be easier to get him.

  31. shotbyspartacus

Nick Richard’s is from NY i played with him all the time at LA fitness before he went to college

  32. WorkersUnited111

Ainge is going to try to extort a 1st round pick.
